Average target but I enjoy shopping here since it's so close to my parent's house. Service isn't the best though. It's difficult to find assistance and the store is a bit messy. There's a decent variety of things and they often carry items that are sold out at other stores. Target's pretty expensive though. My last trip, I ended up spending close to $150 on only a few items. read more

This Target is the worst. I have no desire to spend another penny here after my awful experience. The manager and customer service staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, and not willing to assist. What should've been a simple return turned into me going back and forth with a rep for no reason. The manager, Devaughn, really needs to improve his customer service skills, and the entire front-end team could use better training on how to communicate with and help customers. Ehh it's an okTarget. I've been to better target stores. In other states I've traveled to. It's wasn't bad but it was just Ehhh. I was in town visiting my family in Maryland and needed to get a few things so I was recommended to go to this target. I will say it is a lot better layout and not so ghetto than the Target in Rockville with the multiple floor store. I guess I'd recommend it. Don't expect anything to really wow you but it's ok. The parking lot and surrounding store are safe and not like being in California with their stupid laws that allow people to steal under $500 and not get persecuted. I never felt unsafe after I left the store. read more

This Target has taken too much of my money. But in all fairness, I allowed it to happen. This is the closest one to my apartment, especially since the one in College Park proper shuttered its doors. Be careful going in here as it is always busy. With the business they got going on here you are rarely able to get a cart. Which, in hindsight, is a good thing. We all know how Target runs can go. You end up with many more items purchased than you intended. The only thing I do not like here is the fact that the layout is all weird. They have their personal car items split up and wrapped around corners. The main aisle of the store splits them and if you want to jump from aisle to aisle to pick up say some deodorant and then some body wash. you are in for a treat. Also, this is the only place that I have seen where the personal care items that aren't split from the rest flow right into the cleaning section. So, no, that green liquid in a bottle is not mouthwash, double check. As far as their stock, they always seem to have enough on the shelves. I have not ever come here and not gotten what I intended to get. Each run here has been a success. They also seem to always sale out of whatever they have in their seasonal section as it always appears to be in limbo. read more

Express lanes were closed this morning at 9:45 with (3) three lanes open, each with long lines. There was a group of (4) four Target team members near the front of the store. Most likely having a meeting, however when approached I was informed another cashier was coming. This was stated very calm and causally without eye contact nor a glance at the lines. I had to leave without making my purchase. The Cherry Hill Target is well stocked, is clean and usually well staffed with plenty of selections and Target sales are posted on the regular for good value. It's just today, the express lanes being closed with few lanes open, just okay. read more

SOMETHING NEW!!! I purchased this today and I really like it this body scrub smells so good and leave your body so soft. It's vegan one hundred percent recyclable bottle & sulfate free. The scrub is so luxurious & creamy the coconut smells is what I love it just wants me feel like I am on a tropical island. While smelling amazing it exfoliate my skin very gently it's not a harsh to my skin like one may think of a exfoliation would be this is not and I very sensitive skin. On Thursday, December 19 (2024) I went and picked up groceries I ordered through the app because I needed groceries and I was too busy to shop since I am a first responder. I picked up the groceries around 8pm. The guy puts the groceries in my car and says I have everything. I get home and realize that half my order is missing. I tried calling the store numerous times to see how the situation can be corrected because I wanted my groceries, but no one picks up the phone at the store. I finally reach a lady named Erica after trying to call the store for like an hour. I explain the situation to her and she gets upset at me for calling and complaining. Erica said I can go though the app and get a refund instead of me calling and complaining, but I wanted my groceries. Erica actually told me to grow up and what happened to me happens to everyone. Then she complains to a coworker that she has to hear a lady complain on the phone about not getting half the groceries I paid for to get, which I thought was very rude and unprofessional of her to complain to her coworker about me when I could hear everything. She did not try and correct the situation and never said that the person who made the mistake of not giving me all my groceries when I came to pick up would be reprimanded. Basically, I got charged for groceries I never received and when I contact the store to get the situation straigthened out, I get treated badly, rudely, and unprofessionally by a woman named Erica. This time I did not receive half my order and back in June, Target store gave me expired groceries. I tried complaining about today's incident though the 1-800 customer service number, but I kept getting people who did not seem to understand or speak English. The Target Silver Spring, MD location store will continue to treat its customers like dirt because they do not hear customer complaints and do not take customers seriously. When one does the right thing and complains about bad service, like I did, no one wants to hear and then correct the situation. That is why I decided to file a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General's consumer fraud division about this because I am tired of being treated like dirt by Target Silver Spring, MD store. I either get expired groceries or don't receive groceries I ordered at all, but my credit card is being charged, all while no one in the store tries to correct the situation and then I get rude, inhumane, unprofessional people like Erica to deal with. I read somewhere and heard on the radio that many places are replacing human beings with robots because robots won't make the same mistakes humans will. I think Target should get robots to work because you know robots are going to be nice and get the job done properly since humans these days cannot be relied upon or trusted to do any job correctly nowadays. read more

I like this Target location!! The key is to go early in the morning soon as they open to avoid the crowds and get a decent parking spot. I would say about 90% of the time they actually have what I'm looking for, but of course it's Target and I probably always end up with stuff I didn't need :) This store is conveniently located for me so I tend to stop in here more often than any other Target. The service is always great and the employees are helpful and friendly. I can get some shopping done, including groceries and get some coffee (all in one stop). Too bad they don't sell wine (now that would be amazing)! read more

There is a huge parking lot in front of this store. I've never had any trouble with finding a spot up close but I always go during nonpeak times. I've visited this location at least a few dozen times since moving to Silver Spring, and this review is for my latest visit on 11/5/18. The store was fairly empty of customers, unsurprising for a Monday night. This is one of the larger Target locations and is closest to my house. I prefer this one because the Wheaton and Greenbelt locations are attached to a very busy mall and crowded mall. With a tip from a savings blog I subscribe to that alerted me of 90% off Halloween decor, I went straight to the Halloween clearance to stock up on more decor for next year's yard display. It did not disappoint! There was a lot left over and a bit messy, including indoor decor and reusable shopping bags and even kids' costumes. I picked up several light-up pumpkins, some spooky signage, candy corn at $0.83 for a large bag, and some other decor. $250 worth of decorations for $25! The store was very clean and several team members in red shirts were roaming the aisles and available to help. I had no wait in line at the register. The cashier was a personable teenage girl with a good customer-centric demeanor. I asked her what the store does when they don't sell their Halloween stuff. She says she thinks they donate it. That was good to know! She bagged up all items efficiently, rung me up quickly, and handed me a receipt. No complaints. read more

This target is located in the cherry hill shopping center and has plenty of other stores next to the target. This target look like it is in the middle of a transition period with so many empty shelves display being rearranged, removal of the clinic & Pizza Hut. Just moved to Silver Spring from Minneapolis so didn't mind supporting a hometown business (their headquarters is in downtown Minneapolis). The store format had a lot more space than the Bethesda location and parking was a lot less stressful. No need to bother with going up and down escalators or dealing with a cramped parking ramp. Retail staff were friendly. I asked for help with checking if there were more items in the back. Initially when an associate looked the item up it looked like there were some still available but apparently the item was mislabeled when someone actually physically checked. At least they were apologetic and asked if there was anything else they could help with. read more

For some years I have been searching for a certain Christmas light string. I only had one of them with iridescent bulbs. This year Richard said he thought we had gotten the lights at Target. This Target is conveniently located in a shopping center, not a mall, with Kohl's, PetSmart, Five Below, Aldi's, and a number of other small stores. There is easy in and out access and plenty of parking. The store is all on one level so can be a bit of a walk to get from one end of the store to the other. When we first entered the store my first thought was that if you are invited to an ugly sweater contest party, this is the place to go. As we started our trek across the store I did notice that in addition to the crazy holiday sweaters there were also some very pretty ones. Passing the children's department I was sorry that my granddaughter has very much outgrown that section. Some really cute dresses and sweaters. About half way through the store I saw an employee working on a display and asked where Christmas decorations were located. She pointed us in the right direction and as we rounded the corner saw lights, lights and more lights in front of us. And happiness for me! I found three packages of my elusive Christmas lights. Later, when we got home I did a Target search and checked the in-store app. Turns out I had pretty much found the only sets within a reasonable distance from my home. At least I know I can hopefully order them on-line in the future. We did self check-out and is was quick and easy and no line. It's amazing, especially during these crazy times, how a little thing can make me so happy. read more

This location is generally clean and organized but the last several times I was in the stores, products were strewn about on shelves, items misplaced or out of stock! There are also not enough cashiers when lines are very long. Also, the outdoor trash cans are always overflowing and quite dirty, a good power washing and regular trash pick up would add to the outside of this location as well. Please don't allow people to solicit outside either. That includes the man with the accordion blasting his music.!! read more

I love Target, and pretty much every Target is the same. This used to be my regular Target until they built the one in Wheaton. What this Target has that the other one doesn't is a much nicer grocery Marketplace. You can actually do all your shopping here, with the exception of produce and fresh meats and fish. Well, if you are the frozen foods kind of shopper then you're safe. What this Target doesn't have is an organized pharmacy. I LOVE the pharmacists at the Wheaton store! They have a section for drop off, a section for pick -up and a private consultation counter. It is not that I had to wait an unreasonable amount of time, but there seemed to be only two people working back there and both of them were searching for a bottle of something. Hello, the clock is a ticking! another thing here, that I also noticed the last time I was at this location is that they charge more for some of the regular items I buy. A 6 pk box of Luna Bars is $6.24 here and only $5.49 in Wheaton. Also some of their clearance items in the food aisles (like their Choxie chocolates) are marked different prices for identical items. Hmm, maybe some are older than others. I'd come back here if I was going to Kohl's or Home depot, but for now, I'll stick to my usual Target. read more

The staff are friendly and helpful but sometime they seem unknowldgebale about how things work in target. This place has absolutley everything you may need from a to z speically the food section. While standing in line which seemed like 22 minutes I realized that the product in my hand target brand water flavor was actually expired. This target deserves no stars, I order a pickup drive up order and I waited over 35 minutes and no one ever came out. And there were also other cars waiting before me and never received their things and also left. At usually other targets, my drive up order is given to me within five minutes and also give great customer service, this target has way to many rude people who don't like their job! There's a lot to say. This store is constantly dirty. The shelves are always empty. I use to love to go into Target bc everything was nice and organized. The lines are long because they do not have enough people. I saw a manager the other day walk past trash on the floor, instead of him picking it up, he summoned an employee over to do it. We've gone into Starbucks the past two weeks. The last time was Sunday and it was closed. It's one of the nastiest Starbucks I've ever been to. The employees have long nails, gwady jewelry and no hair nets and more worried about being on their cellphones than accommodating their customers. Disgusting. They are always out of everything. The place is dirty and atrocious. The employees are not friendly and do not seem half the time to know how to make the drinks. I went to order food but once I looked how uninviting the display was and DIRTY we changed our minds. Gross! Nothing inviting about Starbucks or Target. Go somewhere else! read more

Have been shopping at this Target since opening. Continues to decline each time I go there, which isn't often anymore due to poor service and uncleanliness. I prefer to shop early at opening and this Silver Spring store is always a mess probably from the day before. Last week shopped as soon as they opened and the entire parking lot was cover with shopping carts all over the place covering parking spaces. Who is running this place?! If I go in the afternoon or evenings, there's always a long line and not enough registers opened. During the holiday's the sale items in the back is a nightmare I no longer bother looking there. The items I shop for are NEVER regularly in stock. For example Dr. Bonner soap items. I rather drive to the Rockville or Columbia store. Do not recommend this store at all. This Target is convenient for me and as far as I know, provides an average shopping experience. It's one level and well-stocked. In terms of service, usually I'm going to Target for something very specific and just use the self check-out. I've never had to wait longer than a few minutes to self-checkout. Because only 2-4 registers are open when I'm there, there's typically a line for people using those. The only time that I've seen it very busy is when there are sales or around holiday times. I don't come in to much contact with the employees. The few times that I have had questions, someone was able to point me in the right direction. Not memorably friendly service but that's not really what I need when I go to Target--as long as I can get in and get out. BUT the real reason that I am writing this review is because of the Starbucks. Mind you, I have only been to this Starbucks once, to remember. Many thanks to Aviva for the great customer service. I came in for a White Chocolate Mocha and a S'mores Frapp. When my Frappuccino didn't come out right, Aviva quickly remade my drink. It seems simple but it was a quality experience. The gentleman who answered was very kind and even went to the back and got the game and placed it on hold with my name. We arrived an hour later to the electronics department, the game was there waiting for us. It was a very smooth transaction and we are are very pleased and thankful for this fine young man in the electronics department (wish I would have had his name). It's sad to see how much this Target has gone downhill. Employees don't even bother shopping for pick up orders anymore...if they see an order they don't want to deal with they just cancel items or the whole order. We've now had 3 orders where we walked in shortly after said items were discovered to be unavailable and immediately found them not only in stock but plenty of stock. You try to call and no one answers. Shame Target doesn't care about their employees enough to pay them well so they actually care about the customers they serve. read more

Bought a Spider-Man boys watch for my son only to open it up to find out it had been used. Not only was the watch dead it had DIRT AND SKIN on the inside of the wristband. We are visiting the area and made a stop at this Target today. The area in which it is located is busy, but it is a nice shopping center, with plenty of businesses. Target itself had everything that we needed (and plenty more that we didn't, as is usual at Target!). They had a great selection of school supplies that are currently being displayed. The snack area was nice and the eating area was clean and well kept. We had absolutely no problems with customer service in several sections of the store. read more

I've lived in the area for about three years, and I remember this Target before it transitioned into a Super Target. Since the expansion, the store seems to have trouble keeping the shelves stocked. The food section is a disaster and basic items are often missing: whole categories of milk (like no skim milk of any brand), they have an entire section devoted to yogurt which is often next to empty, the little baskets of fruit are also frequently empty. The rest of the store is fine, not great, but fine. The staff are usually pretty nice and a lot of the same people have been working there over the years, which is a plus to me. The clothing selection is better than some other Targets, but the shoe section sucks because they have low stock. (The Wheaton Target has a huge shoe department.) The Pharmacy is reasonably priced and the service is pretty fast, although some of the people working there are a little dry to the point of being unfriendly. The Starbucks inside of the Target is always filthy. The store in general is generally untidy, especially the entryway. I see employees walking around and replenishing stock, but never see anyone cleaning or tidying shelves. The lines are generally long, but they're good about getting more employees on the register if this happens. It's definitely not the best Target in the area, especially considering that the closest WalMart is in Laurel, so this is kind of all we have. This has to be one of the dirtiest locations. The outside has overflowing trash cans. The store is often not stocked or organized well. The service is average at best. I have to wonder why they have security in this location that do everything but their job. On two occasions it was quite a joke. The first being a customer walked to a cashier saying he knew him from high school. The customer was both drunk and high and was getting belligerent with the cashier. All the while the cashier tried to focus on doing his job. The security guard stood there and watched. Someone told the guy to go away. The security said hey there is nothing he could do because he did not want to upset the man. Recently I returned some items and kept my bag. On the exit I placed the empty bag in one of the carts (where all the carts were). The security officer told me that wasn't a trash can, of which I was aware of. I put in a cart for the next customer. Being that you are charged for bags I figured why not leave it for someone to use. Looked for the bin where to recycle bags, did not see it. "Security" snatched the bag out of the cart and put it in the trash. That was a bit much. Did not realize the "security" was the trash/cart police, lol. Don't be surprised if someone knocks on your door in the parking lot trying to sell you something or asking for money. read more
