I'm dissappointed! Today I visited this Cherry Hill target location after not having been here in a few months-- I must say, they have gone down hill. The grocery section needs serious improvement. The shelves were mostly empty or there were damaged AND open boxes of food. How disappointed I was. I expect more-- how about nice stocked, well organzied shelves??? Is that too much to ask??? This is probably the worst Target I've ever visited. The store never has any items on the shelf & they never have enough cashiers, so the lines are long. The front of the store even looks dirty. I just drive to Laurel or Columbia for a better shopping experience. read more

This might be the worst Target as far as keeping stock, customer service, and overall shopping experience in the state of Maryland. 1) They never have what they say on their website. Usually, if I am in a pinch I will order online. It says they have 4 in stock when you order, and poof magically only 1 item was available for pickup and the others are cancelled. 2) Continuing on the website issue, the stock they say when you get there is never there. 3) Baby Food... it's practically a game to see if they ever have anything in stock. You are better off shelping yourself to somewhere else, driving the extra 10 minutes because good luck finding anything, or anyone that actually helps. The best experiencing I've ever had at a Target was when I asked an employee for help, and since it wasn't on the shelf, and I needed baby food for my little one I figured I'd as to see if it was in the back. The employee verbatim told me, "Since I only needed a few of them, it wasn't enough for him to get the product from the back." Seriously? Why do you work at a store and not stock the product that's not on the shelf A, and B, who treats a customer that wants to buy the product like that? Needless to say, between the stock and the customer service issues, I refuse to buy baby food at this store anymore. 4) The shopping experience. Beyond everything above, the cleanliness of the store is abysmal. Targets, whether Bowie, Wheaton, heck even Laurel have better overall everything above, and cleanliness. This store is the worst when it comes to shelf display and overall cleanliness. I've never seen a store where literally displays look like a tidal wave threw stuff on the shelf and racks be completely empty. You literally feel like you're going to a rummage sale looking for something you are going to purchase. Otherwise, it's a Target, that feels like a rundown K-Mart. read more

Review for guest services. I recently order a bridesmaid dress online and came here to return it (will be ordering a different dress from a different business). However, there was a problem with my packing slip & merchandise: the product code didn't match. What...?? How?? Before explaining this, the guy helping told me my credit card wasn't the one used to make the purchase. I told him that's not possible. He positioned the screen to show me that the transaction wasn't showing up on my card. I explained that I only have one credit card. Finally, he found the difference in product code and pointed that out to me. During this exchange, the guy gave the impression that this whole situation was somehow my fault. Maybe there have been customers who try to return the wrong item on purpose? He then proceeded to tell me that there is no proof I purchased the dress (packing slip didn't provide a date of purchase). After explaining he needs some sort of receipt, I found the e-mail that confirmed my order and showed it to him. The return didn't take long after I found the e-mail. When I asked if this sort of thing happens, he simply said no. Maybe he was having an off day, and I do empathize with the fact that he was working on Super Bowl Sunday, but I would have appreciated more respect. read more

This review is specifically about the pharmacy there. I have never had such wonderful service at a large chain store pharmacy. You drop off your prescription, they tell you when it will be ready and it really is ready when they say it will be ready! I have never had to wait more than 20 minutes for a prescription and Target is a pleasant place to wait -- especially since there's a Starbucks at this one. The pharmacists know their stuff. I never feel uncomfortable asking about drug interactions, allergies or side effects. The staff is always more than willing to help answer my questions. I also like how they stay on top of changes in your insurance and when your prescriptions run out of refills. The other really nice thing is that there is often a coupon in the Sunday paper for a $10 Target gift card with any new or transferred prescription. While you can't use the gift card to pay for the prescription, you can use it for anything else in the store or to pay for something at the pharmacy later. If you're picking up a new prescription that only costs $5, you actually wind up with more money than you started with to spend at the store. read more

I really like this Target. It's clean. It's not ghetto. It has a large and great selection. There's plenty of aisle space for shopping cart racing and lots of neat places to play hide and seek! I'm a kid stuck in a kid-sized, but adult body, what can I say? I love to have fun. Anyhow, the best thing about this Target is it's location. Very convenient from Riderwood. That's where my bf's grandparents live. Target here has some great neighbors like Babys R Us, Friendly's, Game Stop, McDonald's, SuperFresh, PetsMart, Staples, Potomac Adventist Book Health Food Store, and Kohl's. There are some other stores I'm sure I forgot, but yeah, this is one of my favorite Target's to shop at. It's close enough to College Park for students, but distant enough for it to feel like a community based business rather than a hang out magnet like the Target in Adams Morgan. read more

Don't believe website. It said that a specific lidded cat litter box was available in this store. There were none. Zip. Zero. There was 1 cheaper one without lid that wasn't on the website. And a few of a bigger more expensive one. But not the one listed as available. So I had driven there and walked to the far corner of the store for nothing except aggravation. I LOVE TARGET! I like this one better than the Rockville Location. My Favorite Target is Germantown but the commute is far. But as always with Target sometimes aisles are stocked and sometimes not. I usually only come in for toiletries , beauty items, & household items. The Parking is very good spacious ! Much better than Rockville and Rio parking which is really difficult . At self checkout there is always an associate to help with the transaction if any errors pop up. Staff always greets me and wishes me a good day. I will start by saying that I absolutely LOVE Target.. although my bank account may not agree!! :) I can literally walk in there with a small list of things that I need, and some how manage to come out with EVERYTHING but what was on my list. This may be a lil TMI... but most of my wardrobe is from target..... the prices are reasonable..and the clothes are pretty trendy...not to mention they get new stuff like every single week!! :) I specifically love this location... because there is plenty of parking... I can do my grocery shopping there now....and its the most organized/clean one in the area (in my opinion)... The only thing that SUCKS is that you have to pay for bags now (GO GREEN!!)...and for some reason I cant seem to remember to bring my reusable shopping bags when I go!! lol read more

This store complete trash. They have a new Team Lead who goes by the name Judy. She is VERY rude and disrespectful. She refused to to change the price of an item I was getting because it wasn't the correct price. Nothing is the correct price in that store. I picked the item up off the shelf where there was several others and I went to guest service to get the price honored she told me straight up no. I was arguing with her for 20min until Amber came and gladly changed the price for me. Honestly I thought Ishmail was bad but Judy takes the cake. She should not be working customer service and definitely should not be a Team Lead Manager. I think this location needs to pick better candidates for the job. read more

This Target is like a breath of fresh air to someone that has been holding their breath waiting for another good Target experience to come along. If you read my other Target review, you'll know how much I dislike the one in Wheaton; if you haven't, you might want to check that out. Anyways, the hubbs and I were oh so curious to see if this one was any better than the one in Wheaton while we were up in Trader Joe's neck of the woods and we were once again happy to discover, yes! This Target smells like a Target should; women's clothes in front with that brand new fabric smell and some food smells emanating from the Pizza Hut mini they have in this Greatlands edition. Target Greatlands just means that they sell grocery items here as well as their other usual products. Sadly, there was no Starbuck's in here to fill the air with that awesome coffee aroma like the ones I'm accustomed to in Columbia and Bowie, but the Pizza Hut mini shop and familiarity made up for it all. The set up is the same great set-up; some of the products are undeniably cute; even this $19 adorable, checkered sun dress with deep pockets I had to take home with me yesterday. Yeah, sometimes I'm a super-impulsive shopper and Target is my bane. This Target is well-stocked and clean; all the things you have come to know and love about Target, but what Libby says about the pharmacy. I don't know anything about that, so I'll leave the pharmacy expertise up to her. Yay Target!! read more

I heart all things Target. And compared to the Wheaton and Columbia Heights locations, this Target is an oasis of calm and organization :) It's better stocked than either of those two, and about a thousand times more organized. Plus, they have a Starbucks! The Columbia Heights location does too, but that place is a sh*t show all day, every day. It's not the store's fault, it's just that it's the only Target within DC limits, and located in an area with a bunch of other stores. The Wheaton location isn't much better (a TAD less crazy, but no Starbucks, boo to that). Anyhow, this Target is great. I much prefer it over the other locations. Good times for all. Minus one store for not being as easily accessible on public transportation as the other two stores though. read more

Now I usually love the Target experience but they completely dropped the ball (twice) this time. First of all, I ordered something on Target.com and then wanted to cancel the order. It was something off someone's baby registry but then I noticed something else that I wanted to purchase instead. So i called and was told I could not cancel after I literally just placed the order 15 minutes prior. I was told i had to wait for it to be delivered to the store and then do a return. I didn't fight that too much so I went back to the registry and screenshot the new item I wanted to purchase. Well luckily i did because when i got to the store the price was different. I told Ishmeal that the price was incorrect and I showed the screenshot which had target.com big as day on the picture. He told me I wouldn't be able to get the price that was online because something with the special online pick-up price. Total bull. I told him if he could not do anything point me to a manager because how won't you honor the price of your own website. Made no sense to me. He finally adjusted the price but the extra drama behind it plus the online foolishness is why I give them 2 stars. Not good at all Target. I mind as well go back to Walmart for this horrible customer service. read more

I think this location is, by far, the best one I've been to, although the Rockville one comes pretty close with the ridiculously convenient parking garage deal. I remember being wowed when it first opened as a Target Greatland (we had no idea what a Target was before that!) What can I say? I love the way that Target is run - every single one of their stores is impeccably clean, neat, and well-stocked. I could never go to another big box store (ew, Wal-Mart and KMart!) besides Target. I love the constant changes and extensions - I'm always getting a personal pizza inside and this past winter, got flu shots from the clinic. Everything is so convenient and as always, Target is pretty much your one-stop shop. I will say that I went to the clinic this past weekend (Friday) and service at the pharmacy right next to it was EXTREMELY disappointing. The people working seemed to act like children, almost showing off more than working. Please, there is no need to run around when you're serving one person at a time and are inefficient at doing even just that. I think they could also use a lot more training in customer service in terms of delivery (speech) and overall tone/attitude. Needless to say, I won't be utilizing the pharmacy again. However, I'll definitely be in every week buying other items I need like I always do! read more

This location is close to Kaiser and I go to Kaiser a lot. Not because I'm sickly, just because...I'll save that for another time. Anyway, this is a decent target. It's convenient and clean. They are always out of stock of something and that's why I have to give it 3 stars. The staff at this location also seem to be non existent, I never need help, but I also don't see anyone if I ever did need help...bizarre. Bad customer service. I went to buy a small TV under a 100 bucks. First I asked the guy at the electronics dept whether I needed to pay here or at the cash register. He said you pay here first, then leave the item here then do all your shopping and come collect it later. I'm looking at him like why would I leave it here after I've paid for it. Then he says oh you can pay upfront. The girl at the cash register bumps the tv a couple of times and takes about 10 mins trying to scan it right and forgets to remove the security tag. Now I'm walking out of there and I'm approached by yet another guy who asks me if I've paid for it. I reply yes and he points at the tag so I put the stuff down to take out my receipt. (Mind you I have other bags and I just paid at the counter adjacent to his.) I'm taking out my receipt when some supervisor comes and starts scolding him in front of me for not checking my receipt first and then asks for my receipt. He looks at it and says okay and walks away. That was even more embarrassing than being asked the first time. He didn't even look me in the eye or say anything before he left. It took the other guy a few more minutes to take the tag off while I stood there awkwardly. He finally got it and I literally walked out of there feeling like I had committed some crime after having paid for the stupid TV. read more

There are cute items in the target dollar+ bins. You just have to deal with the constant mess that kids create. My favorite dollar item is the Doctor Seuss bags. They make great gift bags. If you pay attention to sales, coupons and gift cards you can find savings at Target. Many of their back-to-school items were cheaper than Walmart. Be careful to pay attention to savings signs. If you need to text target to get a coupon code, make sure you do it before getting in line. read more

I like this Target better than most, especially around here. Most of the time things are well-stocked, easy to find, and the staff is fairly friendly. The pharmacy moves very quickly, and they're pleasant to talk to. Now, you'll see that I said "most of the time" above there. That's because the store is being renovated right now. So far they've closed an entrance so there's only one from now on, moved the pharmacy up front and center, and added a Starbucks. While this is going on the store layout is kinda a free-for-all, and it changes every time I go in. Accessories and socks are the worst- they're in ten places around the store. Also, the racks and aisles are squished, making cart navigation real fun. The work is supposed to be done in November, before Christmas kicks into full swing. This is my new favorite Target! By all accounts I am a Target girl, so all Targets are good Targets in my book. I had been shopping at the Target nearest me at Wheaton mall since I relocated to the area recently. That Target is good enough, but it stays crowded and parking is bad, plus I'm not a huge fan of the two level Targets. I decided to venture out for another location and came upon the Cherry Hill road store and instantly fell in love. Very clean, very organized and everything was on one floor. The store was relatively empty too for a weekend, which I liked. The home decor department was laid out like a Pier One, which I really liked. Customer service was good as always. Another draw for me shopping at this location is that several of the other stores in the shopping center are stores that I frequent. It's a little further out than what I'd usually travel, but the 20 minute drive is worth it. Glad I found this spot! read more

Store TH1138 in the late 1990's I actually helped set up and then worked for this store, back when it had the original two entrances. From Cards and Party, Candles, Pens and Office supplies, Home/Bath, Light Bulbs and Footstools/Storage. Worked one Christmas there, ruined my love of the holiday for YEARS. Today this place appears to have the right setup, staff and customer levels. Unlike when I worked there the shelves were decently researched/stocked/pushed, the store seemed to run properly. re: Christmas Sale Shopping It doesn't seem like that long ago where Target had its data breach and was doing what it had to get people in the door. Although the Christmas Sales weren't as generous out the gate like they were for 2013-14, they had some great stuff at 50% during the opening week. Last year things were quite different, as they started the Christmas Sale off at 75% week. I've been coming to this location for awhile now and I do not see that changing. This target is quiet. They a re very helpful. Nice size store with a Starbucks and Pizza Hut express in it. The grocery section is also pretty good as well. The phone service could be a little bit better. When I asked to see what time they closed, they were busy. So they weren't that helpful, but hey...thats what Google is for right? haha read more

I think this is the best Target in MD. The store is bigger than the Rockville or Wheaton locations, and there's more in stock here. Like, was able to pick up a jewelry end table thing that was not available at the Rockville store. Also, I may do all of my online returns here because the line for customer service is consistently shorter than other Targets in the area. read more

I really liked this particular location. It seemed like everything was well stocked (except clothing but it's after holidays so it may be that) and easy to navigate through the aisles. Their Starbucks have big sitting area after shopping the store to relax. Plenty of registers open to keep the lines down which is something most target seems to do well. read more

TarGET still rates a 3.5 in my book; however, make sure you check the prices that ring up at the cash register. One item I purchased rang up over $11.00 more than its price on the shelf, and another that was on sale (according to the shelf's sale tag) rang up over $7.00 more, and customer service denied that it was on sale. What can you really say about a department store like Target? It gets too crowded, the store can be a mess, only a few registers open. I still love this location. It is the best Target in the area. I lived closer to the Wheaton one before and would travel to this store. The employees are friendly and actually help me find things. Yes, sometimes it is disorganized but this is expected. Target is my bestie, but I cannot say that specifically about this location. Came in to check out their clearance baby clothing selection and was a little bummed at the slim pickings, but hey I understand I was taking a chance. I commenced to getting the items I needed (and didn't as I always seem to do in Target) to include a big box of Huggies diapers that I placed on the bottom of my cart. Proceed to checkout, pay and begin walking to leave and notice a guy standing by the exit in a blue shirt and khakis but kept on trucking not paying him any mind until he asked to see my receipt. Gave him my receipt and I immediately knew he was checking to make sure I paid for all of my items to which I am all down for theft deterrence but don't ask me if I forgot to pay for my bottle of Deer Park water sitting in my cart that I brought in with me. Like wth?! I'd like to recommend this location better train their employees specifically this gentleman who I guess is in loss prevention to speak better to customers. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning to this location. read more

The pharmacy staff here is awesome! Customer service is friendly and helpful as well as the cashiers. Stay away from electronics----major attitudes! I shop Target for all things.............most of the time, I'm successful in finding what I want at a reasonable price.
