I will never shop at this store again and would suggest you consider the lack of customer service before shopping here yourself! If you have a problem...they will not even make a slight effort to work through the issue. I have shopped at this store on my way home from work on a regular basis. In addition, my daughter is registered here for her baby shower which she will now be canceling due to horrible customer service. I purchased an item which was barely used and no longer heated up, clearly a defective product. It was very clear that the item was new and barely used. All I asked was to exchange the product for one that worked properly...I wasn't asking for cash back or credit back. The lady at the customer service "lack of customer service" desk was extremely rude and had an attitude right from the beginning of our conversation, wouldn't even let me explain the situation and just kept telling me I had to have the receipt and packaging. Since when do you keep the plastic container that a hair product comes in, especially since you have to cut them apart to get the product out and once the product originally worked, I no longer kept the receipt. You don't expect that a product will be defective if it originally works, who would expect that the item would stop working...but the bigger issue was her attitude...so no doubt I then had an attitude. I asked to speak to a manager, which was a joke in itself. She made it very clear that they could not do anything to correct "any" problem, I would have to contact consumer services to let them know that the product didn't meet quality standards. So their product doesn't work, but she doesn't want to be bothered with it. Any competent manager/company would at least try to make the customer believe they cared about your feedback. Then she called over Dave, another so-called manager...he too could have cared less what the issue was...they were just going to stick together. I find it hard to believe that Target's "so-called customer service" would start out being so rude to a consumer, would lose a customer over a $20 item that their company sold that didn't stand up to normal quality levels and then treat a customer with no concern for customer service at all.
Clearly Target stores need to train their managers and employees that a "complaint is a gift", the consumer is giving you the opportunity to correct a problem that your store created by selling a product that was below standards. I will never shop at a Target again...so for a $20 item, Target has lost a customer for life. Genius! read more
