I love Arhaus! We are currently furniture shopping for almost our entire house. Our first stop for furniture shopping is always Arhaus. The representatives are always very helpful and willing to answer any questions. However, we definitely have a favorite Sales Rep at this Arhaus S.Barrington location - Her name is Rissa! She has helped us with designing our space and measurements; displayed how all the furniture will fit in our house etc... We bought our family room (custom order) and dining room furniture from this location along with some lighting; and are strongly considering buying more to add to our delivery! Also, delivery times for custom orders are better than most other places, most items were 12weeks and under. I mean how can you NOT like Arhaus?! However, are they Pricey?? YES, but we're willing to spend for quality sturdy (real) furniture. read more

This is insane..: I paid almost 5k for this couch. Look how all these feathers are coming out and they are EVERYWHERE. I have been spitting feathers for months now and now they are sticking out of the couch. I have provided pure evidence of the feathers coming DIRECTLY out of the couch. I look for quality pieces in my home, I don't cheap out. However, synthetic feathers poking out of my $5,000 DOLLAR COUCH is honestly bizarre. They have the best design team! One of the benefits of shopping with Arhus included a in home consultation and complimentary design service. Using this free service helped me beyond measure! I loved seeing the design layout plan. It made designing the interior of my home everything its should be. Exciting, Creative and Fun. Some of the layout design I stuck with and some I changed. The team was flexable and patient with me always...They helped bring my home to life. Shopping in store is also very nice! Lots of floor sample sales! If you like to be inspired and not harrassed by a sales team with a tone of introductions and questions the second you walk in the door you will appreciate the enviorment. I purchased 2 leather chairs for $4000 each and after 2 months they began staining terribly I called the store and they had me send pictures after 6 months of fooling around with them I talked to the concierge and was told I should not have been given this number. 2 more months and the concierge talked to me. In 24 hours I received an email to call them and they said they do not warranty any of their leather so nothing will be done don't buy here. read more

Absolute worst. Bought over $30000 of furniture. Told us two week delivery and 1 month on special order. Just got furniture month and a half later and had to cancel special order because it wouldn't have come for at least three months Salesgirl called end of last month and told us all furniture was in and we had to pay remainder due. None was in. She just wanted to get her commission They owe us a refund for the sofa that was cancelled. Called corporate and they said they would contact store manager and district manager. 3 days no call. Going to get my lawyer involved. Bet we get a call back when we file a lawsuit. Wow! One of the worst and one of the nicest experiences I've had. The furniture is really nice they have some great sales. The furniture is honest-to-god gorgeous. When I walked in there were like four or five different people that just looked at me like I had s*** on my shoes. No actual greeting whatsoever . Nasty little team. Admittedly, I showed up in sweats, a hoody and some sneekes . I finally said, Can someone help me? The salesman said "with what"? I said I'd like to see a chair a recliner, the Delta. I felt so bad for disturbing him in whatever little taske was occupied with when I walked in, I certainly wouldn't want to trouble him further by actually writing up a contract and purchasing. They didn't have what I went to see. The sales snob didn't even try to show me other products that might work for me, so I started to leave. I got lost in the store, and this really nice employee found me and helped me get out to my car. She was so sweet. So, I can't say everybody here sucks but I can say 5 out of 6 do. Love Arhaus for only the reason being that they have beautiful furniture. This location is terrible though, the sales associates probably are nice people. We placed an order back in the beginning of March and still haven't received it yet, not only that but for these past few months we have heard a few different stories about why it has taken so long. We were also told at one point we wouldn't receive everything until July! These people never get back to you until you keep calling them and mention to them that they never call you back and show you are upset about this. The manager is never available. On top of that one item has taken so long, apparently, because the sales associate didn't listen to me, used her own judgement went ahead and ordered something for me when I was under the impression I was receiving the floor model. When I mentioned all of my issues and concerns the only thing they were willing to do was give me a $50 credit. Finally, I get a phone call about delivery and it is going to the wrong address which we had already changed with the sales associate when I had called before. Moral of the story, we ended up canceling our order! Too much mess ups and frustration that I didn't want the sales associate to get commission off this for being (I'm sorry) not so smart, nor do I want to go into this store ever again. If you ever shop this location just beware.. They are nice at first but then after they make the sale they can care less about you. read more

My first encounter with Arhaus was walking by on my way to another store and being drawn to go inside because of the attractive "curb appeal". From the minute I walked in and met AnnMarie to perusing the furniture, decor and overall atmosphere, I knew this was a shop where I would find something special. The prices for some of the items seemed high and I attributed it to the quality of the furniture. Now that I have purchased some items on my second visit over Memorial Day week-end and they were just delivered today; Arhaus is worth every penny because of quality, service, customer accommodation and fresh style. The management style is professional and supportive of the staff. I can't wait to find something else I HAVE to buy; Arhaus in South Barrington will be my first stop!! Don't bother making any big purchases from Arhaus if you expect quality products with good customer service to back it up. We purchased two cabinets back in November of 2021 and we were told that due to delays we would not be receiving our cabinets until the first week of April. Well April came and past May came and past and we finally received our cabinets in June of 2022. But when they arrived one of the Cabinets had a cut as if a box cutter went straight across the front of the cabinet. Immediately I emailed pictures of the damaged product to Arhaus and the response I received was that they were short staffed but someone from their team would be reaching out to me soon. Well it's been a few weeks since we received the damaged good and still no contract from Arhaus. We are disappointed to say the least as this is a quick phone call that would resolve our problem and concerns, but it's obvious that they care nothing about customer service as their job is done with the sale. We will do whatever it takes to get our damaged items replaced, but we do not want anyone to go through what we went through with Arhaus. read more

Being a particular consumer, we were surprised and VERY HAPPY with the customer service we had today. Our designer was sick today and could not come for an appointment. Stephanie filled in and we had a great time picking fabrics. Jessica who we were supposed to meet called us to apologize for not being there even though she was sick and NOT WORKING! After waiting 7 months for my table and dining chairs, the assembly crew left after destroying the table. It was wobbly and the dining chairs pushed in on one side differently then the opposite side, and drilled holes into the top of the table. The Crew left and I called for someone to come inspect the completely damaged table. That person declared it to be totaled and it would need to be re-ordered. I am still waiting on the replacement table and have received one email saying there was an expected arrival date sometime in January. As I didn't hear any updates I called the store and the person I spoke with said it's now expected mid-march. It was odd how he thought it was humorous as to how long I've been waiting for the table. So 14 months later and I have yet to receive my table. I have purchased several pieces from this store, unfortunately I could never recommend to a friend or family member. We bought a big sectional from here last month, our experience in the store was fine, delivery guys were great, and we like the couch a lot. The reason I gave 2 stars is we saw the same couch, from the same manufacturer in North Carolina at Macy's for over $1000 less (before the sale). I called and talked to the manager and was told we don't price match, and even though the couch looks identical and is manufactured by the same company, in the same plant, that theirs is made better. I don't buy that, and it left a very bad taste in my mouth. The manager was nice, but was very dismissive and didn't seem to really care if I was a return customer or not. Nice furniture, but do your homework and shop around, and don't be tricked into thinking they have exclusive high-quality manufacturers only for them - this may not be the case. read more

Let me preface this review by stating that it is solely related to the customer service. The furniture was very inviting. The employees....not so much. My boyfriend and I stopped in yesterday to check out their bedroom collections. We were in the store for about 30 minutes and were not approached by a salesperson once. We even walked past a group of 3 employees chatting in the middle of the store and we still were not given the time of day. The worst part was when an older woman whom worked there walked past us and literally put her nose up in the air at us and approached an older couple. We have purchased furniture from Arhaus in the last year, for our new home. Dining table, dining chairs, counter stools, kitchen table, dinette seats, hallway tables, coffee table and most recent a huge pit couch, so needless to say we have dealt with Arhaus. The furniture is great quality, and some pieces are custom for example couch was suppose to take 12 weeks took a bit longer, but arrived and once we seen the quality we were ok with waiting. The staff has always been helpful and we have worked with Kevin who is accommodating and responsive and has a great eye and helped us make decisions. Our dining room table arrived damaged and they worked on getting us another table. When your furniture arrived inspect it and if there is damage call the store and let them know and allow them to make it right. Mistakes happen, furniture gets damaged in transit etc, they do work hard to make it right. You get what you pay for with Arhaus I feel like. read more

My wife and I went to Arhaus and ended up purchasing a nice bar and some nesting tables for our new place. The store service was great when shopping. However, the delivery is going terribly. The nesting tables came with a chip/scratch and need to be exchanged. It has now been a month and we have yet to get a proper delivery arranged with them for the bar. The first time that it was supposed to be delivered was a couple of weeks after we bought the bar and it was to be delivered on a Tuesday. The Monday before we received a message that the delivery people had come by that morning and that no one was home so that we would have to reschedule. Of course no one was home, they had the wrong day. Now, a month later, we had a delivery time of 7:00 am scheduled and pretty much promised to us that it will be the first of the truck, for this Friday, since we both work during the day. Yesterday we received a message saying that our delivery will be made between 12pm and 2:30pm. This is not what was promised to us and if we can't make that time the next available delivery will be in two weeks. This is getting rediculous considering that most furniture stores deliver around 1 week after purchase. Also, our sales rep Kevin was supposed to call my wife back today ragarding the delivery. My wife ended up reaching out instead and it turns out that Kevin is out today. read more

We spent tens of thousands of dollars on what we thought would be a very high quality experience. They have delivered broken items over and over again and are slow to respond. Its been months since we placed our large order and we are very disappointed. We are not real picky but rips in sofa, missing buttons, cracks and nails coming thru the wood are not acceptable. Pretty furniture and furnishings, very poor service. I purchased two sofas, coffee table, dining chairs, end table, lamps, and pillows totaling over $20,000. My household consists of two people, my husband and me. No children, no pets. The $5600 sofa was sold in a garage sale 2 years later, because it was never comfortable and the cushions did not hold up. Arhaus sent replacement inserts twice, but they broke down right away. The second sofa is a sleeper sofa. The mechanisms that expand and retract when pulling and pushing have fallen apart after only two times of actually using it as a bed. The mattress that goes with it is of very poor quality. I will have to buy a replacement, but it is not a true full size bed so the measurements to replace it don't match. The dining chairs are not holding their shape either. The glass and metal coffee table and end table are still beautiful, but they obviously are used differently. Moreover, the sales associates need customer service training. If the customer doesn't have the "right" look, they get snubbed. I have found this to be true at three locations (South Barrington, Woodfield, and Northbrook), but not just with myself, I've watched other people get snubbed too. I went to all three looking for a different experience with sales associates because I liked the furniture so much, but to no avail. I called the main company number and spoke with a representative who said a manager would call me back. They never called back. I recommend Walter E. Smithe or Toms Price instead. read more
