We designed an entire bathroom around a tile displayed in your store, only to be told it has been discontinued for over a year. There was no signage indicating this. Staff confirmed many items on display are no longer available and said room displays won't be updated until March...despite it being January. Displaying discontinued products without clear notice is misleading and wastes customers' time. Why are unavailable items shown for over a year, and why aren't they clearly labeled? read more

My husband and I were in the middle of a remodel. We picked out a backsplash tile for our kitchen and bought it. We finished up a couple other projects we were in the middle of and got back to our remodel. At that time we realized we were not very fond of the tile we bought And it didnt really go with our home. So we went back to the store and found another tile. we brought back all of the unopened boxes of the tile that didnt go- mind you, they still sell this tile and we only bought it in July- they would not exchange. We did not want cash back only a store credit, which we were going to use towards the new tile. it was not our intention to put our project off as long as we did, but life happens and it SUCKS that we have rehabbed 4 houses in the past year and half and bought all of our tile from there and they have no custmer service. it Is a shame that they have no loyalty to their customers but want loyalty from their customers. the tile we were trying to exchange is beautiful- it just didnt go with our home. the simple fact that they couldnt make an acception FOR AND EXCHANGE is so disappointing i WILL NOT SUPPORT FLOOR AND DECOR ANYMORE- read more

good store with good prices. however, I scheduled a design consult several days in advance, drove 30 minutes to the store, only to be told the appointment would start 20 minutes late. there was no real respect or apologies given, just told I had to wait. what's the point of the appointment then? My husband and I are ordering floor tile and wall tile for our place in Florida... The Algonquin store was extremely extremely helpful and helping us locate a store near our Florida home that had what we needed in stock... The three or four locations that they called in Florida had a horrible service and kept them on hold for 30 to 45 minutes each!! After not having much luck at our closer location in Arlington Hts, we ventured to this location on April 18th morning. This location is newer and we loved the design area. In addition, the staff was super friendly and excited to assist us in a non pushy way. After selecting our tile, Rasheed (and I apologize if I misspelled his name) helped us load up the tile, pre check out, and even brought over a design cart table to help me select grout color. After checking out, he helped load our car. He was so great at helping us out on the final selection. Because of Rasheed's excellent service, we will be coming back to this location for the rest of our remodel needs. read more

Customer services was great when I purchased my wood floors. They were also great when I needed to change my delivery date. My delivery date was scheduled for today and was told that I would receive a call the day before to provide me with a time frame as to when we could expect the delivery (morning or afternoon). Yesterday, I was waiting for most of the day for the store to call me. When I did not receive a call, I attempted to call the store 30 minutes before closing to confirm my delivery. The problem was that no one answered the phone! So frustrating when you can not get a hold of a business during their business hours. Since I did not receive a call on the day they indicated, I had no expectation that the delivery would occur today. I was wrong! Again, without being contacted, the delivery truck comes and my 16 year daughter is home with my younger children. I was at work and my wife was picking up my other son from practice, so there was no adult home for the delivery that we did not even know was occurring. Fortunately, my wife was only a couple minutes from home and made it just in time before the delivery truck was set to leave. My wife then had to move cars in and out of the garage so that space can be made in the garage for the flooring to be placed in the garage. I do not blame the delivery guy as I am sure he was just running his route. Whoever was to contact us the day before dropped the ball.......BIG TIME! read more
