I've been going to this target for a long long long time now and it has changed over the years while I prefer it's old design which is the inside I think the new it okay at best even though all the targets are starting to look the same which is kinda boring to be frankly honest but okay nonetheless as for this target it has been and always will be my go to target for sure indeed.

The Customer service is great. Security guard greeted us and welcomed us. sister and I came for the Starbucks we also saw that they have Pizza Hut pizzas for 7.25 personal pizza pepperoni or cheese. The cashier was really informative about the specials and how I can get rewarded on saving by using App. Overall today was a great day at this target location

Dorchester (South Boston) Target store

As tends to happen about once a month, I forget to put something in my suitcase. When you're working in downtown Boston and don't have a rental car, it's helpful to have access to a Target by T with a short walk. And so here we are, a quarter mile or so on open and well-sidewalked roads from the Andrew MBTA station. This Target has all the usual departments including men's wear and personal care so I was able to pick up some undershirts and a pack of razor refills. Decent choice in the clothing department and the store was in good condition. Stuff is racked and stacked nicely. It's a large store and the staff seem pretty competent. The parking lot is large and there do not seem to be any stray carts. South Bay is a large shopping center with outlets for many of the big box stores. This store also has a free wifi that works well.

Target - flu shots 1/2018 - they were out

I learned something new today. There's a Target at South Bay, at the far end from Mass Ave. Actually, I learned two new things today. They can pause your order at Target if necessary and work on another customer while you wade through your purse or what not, and keep you from feeling like the stupid idiot who is holding up the line. There's a word for it, but I can't remember it right now. Personally, I appreciated it, though my cashier said most folks are annoyed when she has to do this to keep the line moving per her manager's order. Regular price for Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix here is $0.54 each. *** This Target is out of the flu shot. Oh well, at least my interactions with two employees were quite pleasant.

This Target could be so much better. In general, I'm a big fan of Target. I prefer Target over Walmart even though they tend to be a little more expensive because the shopping experience is generally better. Not so with this location. The parking lot is always littered with trash. When you enter the store, the trash cans outside are often overflowing. I understand that many people empty their cars of trash and this fills up the bins quickly, but this is something that the store just needs to keep up with. Once in the store, you can find the price for an item about 50% of the time. Many grocery and other items are not marked with the price, so you have to try to find the price on the shelf, but often it's just not there. There are stations in a few places where you can scan the barcode to see the price of an item, but who wants to take the time to do that, especially when comparing several items? It's very frustrating. Further, certain areas of the store are always empty on weekends - they just cannot seem to keep up with stocking the shelves (e.g., orange juice section). Yet they have an entire aisle dedicated to one variety and package size of Bounty paper towels. An entire aisle (see photo)! I guess they're well prepared for a spill in that aisle... I give this Target 2 stars because it is generally clean, especially for how busy it is, and parking is pretty easy. Also, the app is handy for finding discounts - I saved over $5 (granted a small amount on a $170 purchase). Every little bit helps. Please Target, empty the trash, stock the shelves, and put prices near the products so it is easier to find them!

The other day we needed a very specific piece, in a very specific design style (mid-century modern), at a very specific size. After going to no less than 4 'modern' furniture shops, I was finally able to convince my husband to drive with me to Newton to take a look at a piece I found on DCA's website that I was pretty sure was EXACTLY what we needed. And, spoiler alert, it was. Then the other day, again, trying to find a corner table/cabinet is basically impossible, again at a very specific size and design style. But DCA in the Boston location had it. Not only are the pieces here unbelievably beautiful, they are affordable (within reason) and well restored. The owner and his sister were so wonderful to work and speak with about the pieces they have collected. I could have spent hours looking at everything they have in their showrooms. This is now our go-to for mid-century modern furniture. PS. check out their Klippan Wool blankets. Perfect for the cold season.

We just took advantage of their complimentary design services to help us deal with the challenges of bridging styles and optimizing tight urban space in a new home. We sat down with Richard Starke, who took lots of time to get to know what styles we plan to bring to the new space, looking at the layout details and challenges, and worked to get a better understanding of our likes and dislikes as we perused the store. He was very consultative, offering terrific ideas and insight, while respecting some of our more unique tendencies. We met a week later to a comprehensive decorating plan, including elegant and functional furniture elements, a beautiful assortment of materials (fabrics, woods and metals), along with a sensible plan for color and style transitions. He had clearly listened and found a way to rapidly adapt the plan to last minute purchases we had made. It was absolutely amazing and fun! I would recommend Richard and this store to anyone!!! That was the only communication for the next several minutes we were looking at their furniture. I finally told my husband, lets go they obviously dont need our money. I waited months for a furniture purchase while delivery dates were missed multiple times, with delays disclosed only after I repeatedly chased the store for updates. There was zero proactive communication throughout the process. I've had the great misfortune and displeasure of having to deal with Anthony Goode, one of the proprietors. He needs to get a serious lesson in customer service and hospitality or get out of the retail business. After the second missed delivery, he was unapologetic, deflected responsibility, and refused to provide a guaranteed delivery date. When asked to put everything in writing--including delivery commitments or compensation--he insisted on phone calls only, an apparent attempt to avoid a written record. After extensive back-and-forth and continued refusal to provide basic accountability or a firm delivery date, I was forced to cancel the order. Despite this, the business has refused to issue a refund of my 50% deposit. This is an unscrupulous and deceptive business operation that avoids transparency and accountability at every turn. Save yourself the time, stress, and money--do not shop here. Buyer beware!!!

I ordered furniture in August 2025 and paid for it in full -- only to learn seven and a half months…read morelater that the company wouldn't be fulfilling the order. In the process, Pompanoosuc Mills' owner seemed to show as little regard for a longterm employee as for me as a customer. To me, the company's self-professed promise was not kept: "... If you ever have a question or concern about your order, we're here to help--every step of the way." Few will want to hear the gory details, but here goes: When I needed some new stools, I saw a sample in the Copley showroom that was exactly what I was looking for; I ordered three stools in August 2025, paying in full. Erin, the Showroom Manager, told me that it might take 4 months or more to take delivery, which was OK with me. I asked if I'd be able to order a couple more in the future; she assured me 'they still make everything they've ever made', so it wouldn't be an issue. email from Erin on October 19, 2025: "A quick note to let you know your stools are in production. I will continue to follow the build and update you when they are near completion." email from Erin on 11/28/25: "The stools are currently in the assembly department - a fire at the mill set us back a bit. I will contact you again when I see they are near completion." (from Valley News coverage, the fire was October 13, before the first note). I asked Erin for an update 1/17/2026. Erin: "...I have been asking about their progress since then, most recently on the 8th of January. I have yet to get a response." By this time, I was beginning to hear there was a problem sourcing spindles for the stools, since their prior supplier was no longer making them. Not sure how that squares with the "in production" message from October and the "assembly dept" message from November, but it was evident that Erin was getting no better information than me. In the weeks that followed, there was a series of messages (generally with delayed responses from Erin) where there was an effort to get me to switch to a different style, or switch to a different wood. I returned to the showroom to consider, but neither would have matched anything in my house. email from Customer Service 3/5/26: Good news! Your Pompanoosuc Mills furniture order is ready for delivery. We have you on our white glove delivery schedule for 3/12/2026 between 12:00 PM - 3:00 I waited dutifully that day. In the late part of the delivery window I got a call from Erin: "Did they call you?" I said they had not. She said the stools on the truck were walnut, not the oak I had ordered. So...no stools for me. email from Pompy Customer Service on 3/26/26: "First, thank you so much for your recent order. We hope you love your new Pompanoosuc Mills furniture! To that end, we'd love your feedback. Our survey takes about 5 minutes. We'll ask about your experience in our showrooms, our website, your delivery, and your first couple of weeks living with your new Pompy furniture." Somewhat amazed by their poor record-keeping, I filled out the survey by saying I had not received anything yet and was still waiting. I forward the email to Erin saying it was further evidence of the company's dysfunction. Incidentally, my critical survey submission got nary a response. You would think somebody on the other end would have been embarrassed enough to reach out with an apology. email from Erin on 4/1/26: "I finally had a face to face with the owner after I sent this to him. He thought I said you would take the walnut stools. I reminded him I would ask you and you decided no after coming in to see what the walnut wood looked like. He has now definitively told me we will not get the parts for these stools because the people who made these in the past are no longer doing it. It would have been nice to know this last August......Apologies are hardly enough." I'm not in the furniture business, but I find it hard to believe there is no one they could find to sell them oak spindles to fulfill a properly placed and fully paid order. But it's more the careless attitude that is galling.
