And if it's just to get a few extra steps in while the weather is not too great outside, no complaining from me. Customer Service is always top notch with nobody minding you asking where is this or that and even if you're doing your own self checkouts, there's always someone nearby to help out right away, especially when you have wine or liquor and need a quick checkout. This one has Free Parking and many levels of it and you don't need validation so you don't have to worry about that. There are bathrooms on every floor. According to a written policy statement I have from Target, if they mis deliver shipments that customers order from their Target Plus vendors, they take no responsibility regardless of where and to whom it was delivered. I ordered some furniture that, according to their delivery pictures, was delivered to some unknown place, and their response is: too bad. There is no refund and no recourse. The client has to just eat the cost of the misdelivered furniture. I am absolutely flabbergasted that this is the case, but I have it confirmed by them in writing, and I am out the amount of the furniture purchase. I recommend you never buy Target Plus vendors on the Target's site. They take no responisibility for you actually receiving it. Best way to describe this is target merchandise with a Walmart experience. Lines are always way too long. I got stuck in the elevator for about a minute--wouldn't move; doors wouldn't open. This target is in my neighborhood and i come here a lot. But their staff is not very helpful and rude. I was holding bunch of stuff (i didnt grab a basket bc i came for couple of items but ended up getting more) so i placed one of my items that i was holding put it on the shelf for sec to check another item was on the shelf. Their staff approached and grabbed the item from the shelf and threw it in his basket without even asking if i want it or not. And he made sound like he is pissed. I have been to over literally 60 targets across the entire u.s.a. This is the worst target ever, reason being employees will not move out of the way for the customer mostly stockers a few times I had to brace myself due to my leg injury. For 3 months there was a dead smell coming from near meat and milk area. I've had cashiers tell me price of the item which was wrong and tell me it's only this much in way of defending a price so they won't call a manage. I am counting every time I purchase something from here, right now I am at 15 times now in a row I have waited in line over 15 minutes. I once had one person in front of purchase 3 items and it took the cashier 30 minutes. Because the customer and employee kept trying different ways to get the lowest price. Then the employee and customer in front say sorry about the wait, why say sorry for the wait you are not sorry." No manager here wants to tell an employee no. I've had one where a guy literally got on the phone with his credit card in front of me, so everyone had to wait for him to get off the phone. Why this is the worst target, I have been to over 60 targets since 2020 it's bad. The managers look like deer in headlights. I've had one time where I was waiting behind a customer the Same manager had to speak to the cashier 9 times for one transaction. This is not a employee thing it's a manager thing. This might be the perfect spot to scheme some stuff off of cashier and managers. I am never amazed how bad this place is. read more

This is a good Target location. It's two floors, and they have booze...can't go wrong there. Prices are in-line with what I'd expect Target to be. Staff were non-committal and didn't ask me if I needed help a million times when I was shopping, but also couldn't be found when I did have a question. Store layout mostly makes sense. Come to target all the time. Specifically, they have their good&gather brands of salad bags, and I wanted to highlight one specific flavor, the Nashville style Hot. This is my favorite salad of all time. If you like Nashville hot-flavored chicken etc, you will like this salad too. It's $4 for a decent amount of veggies, and it comes with a ton of dressing, cornbread croutons, and crispy cucumbers. It's so good! I attached a picture of how much salad you get for the price for your reference. No meat in the salad, but I usually will add chicken. Can't speak highly enough about this salad, I love it. It's so easy to prep (comes with all the ingredients), it's delicious, and pretty fairly priced for the amount of food. There is another brand, Taylor Farms, that has a similar concept, but they don't have this specific flavor that I've been able to find. read more

I found these really cute wedges, but when I was rang up, there was a message saying it couldn't be sold. I knew there was another pair and went to grab it. Also, rang up the same way. The kind employee asked another associate why this message was coming up and it was due to a recall. Thankful for the employees who helped answer why I couldn't purchase them. I was so sad :( The bathroom was actually not too bad; compared to the Target bathrooms in the Bay Area. Just people need to learn how to flush. I generally love target stores. But the one here in South Loop, Chicago on Clark Street is not run well. The cart escalators that take your cart up and down : do not work, and trap your cart inside them, and you have to remove all the contents, and find another cart. There is no sign on the system, that they do not work. Numerous people had the same problem while I was there. Apparently, this target is trying to save money on staff, so on a busy Sunday afternoon, the lines go around the store for use of the self check out. There were two in person, cashiers, which also had very long lines. This is not how to get repeat customers. I am here, Refreshing a condo between tenants, and I usually shop at this target. I went once, this time, and thereafter I found other places to find the merchandise I needed. This Target is within walking distance of my condo, but no thank you. It was a horrible experience, I like target merchandise, and style, but the whole upstairs/ downstairs, and the checkout lines made it not worth the trip. The amount of time it took to check out, versus the amount of time it took to shop was twice as long. My time is valuable, and I hope this target decides to revamp itself. This used to be my favorite target. Today I'm thrown all the way off. We walk to the fitting room (for the third time) why are we the only ones you ask how many we are taking in? This girl took a basket in twice and one of the things she forgot to take the tag off as she exited the fitting room. Wow huh? Yea that happened. Now legit shop here at the least twice a week. We do walk in, drive up, and pick up. I understand the issues this store may have however, we are both grown grown and well dressed no need to act that way with ONLY us. Really blew me. This is one of two Targets near my daughter's college campus (the other is on State Street) but this one has parking. In fact, a multi-level lot, making it our go to. Since school is starting next week a lot of stuff is picked over or out of stock (we couldn't find a garbage can!) but it's a nice big store on two levels. read more

It's not the best Target I've been to but it's the closest to me. I frequent 3 Targets around my area and this one seems to have prices a few cents higher than going to the Target near Damen st. I go here when I need to go to Jewel and don't want to travel as far to get to Target to buy stuff. It's a two floor Target and there's elevators and a cart escalator so you can bring your cart upstairs. They recently changed the layout and I do think it's a little cleaner. I went to return something and overheard a security guard say to a worker at the store that a lady was trying to steal something and they caught her when she walked out. I watched as the lady was reprimanded and walked back into the store and walked by to the manager. Sometimes because of the location some not as nice things happen. So watch your stuff even if you think it's safe. Chicago is still a city. I will probably still go here but if I didn't live close then I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. read more

This is one of my favorite Targets in the city. The prices have really increased, however my only issue the stocking. What happened to overnight stocking. It's really hard to shop with the store staff in the aisles with their carts, sitting on the floors. I'm sure this is a constant concern because today I noticed each aisle I entered they would leave, I appreciate that. Otherwise, like I said, this is one of the better Targets in Chicago. read more

This target location is great. Spacious, clean, free covered parking, good selection, has a full market section, pizza hut, plenty of self check out lanes, but sometimes, especially on weekend may be a really crowded. Prices don't appear to be market up compared to some other locations I've been to downtown, and they'll price match items from other competitors. Note if you're trying to price match something off Amazon, it has to be directly sold through Amazon and not a third party retailer in order for them to price match. I love that there is plenty of ground floor parking, and there are always a ton of available spots throughout the day. I switched my pharmacy to the CVS in this target, and I am so grateful. They are efficient, and I have never had to wait over 5 minutes, unlike my experiences at a few other pharmacies in the west loop. The employees and staff were all friendly and hardworking. Most aisles were filled with people stocking up items. The place was all clean. Love the prices here, especially on alcohol. Shelves were stocked, organized, and the store was clean. Def a great market for those out of town looking for toiletries or snacks. read more

Terrible experience today: first many of the items I needed were locked up. Then, their call buttons to get someone to come unlock the cabinet didn't appear to work because I kept calling and no one showed up. Then I tried calling the Target customer service (on the phone) to let them know that I was waiting on someone to open the cabinet, but couldn't get through to a human. Finally, I flagged down a Target employee and...she didn't have a key. Ultimately I stood for 15 minutes before someone finally came to unlock the cabinet. read more

Being the closest Target to my apartment, this Target location gets an automatic four stars for convenience, friendly employees, and always having what I need! However, the amount of people always here coupled with the organization of this store, makes it a bit chaotic. On my most recent trip the entire entrance of the store was under construction, so there was only one working door for entering and exiting, which made it pretty hard to get in with the amount of people coming and going. Can't fault the store for trying to improve/fix their entrance though. Upon entering, this target is designed like many others, quick dollar section bins and then goes into women's clothing and accessories, and the featured section. Right now it is 'Back to School' (which I quickly avoided because I have a tendency for buying unnecessary items when they are on sale) Target is usually where I like to pick up my home essentials (laundry detergent, tp, Windex, ect) and this location has a great selection that is always stocked. If you don't have the Cartwheel app, I would highly recommended downloading it, you can get some great coupons simply by scanning the barcodes of all your items. The check out is a bit hectic here as well. Lots of self-checkout kiosks, but only one person running around trying to help everyone who moves something in the bagging area by an inch. All in all, this target always has what I need and it's walking distance from my apartment, and that is good enough for me! read more

The last three times I went to this Target (maybe about a week apart), there's always a guy in a mobility scooter, leaching off the electricity and internet and watching TV or something like that on his iPad, right near cashiers. It's very loud, so loud that I can hear it in the middle of the first floor, far away from where the guy actually is. At least turn off the music in the store, if the 'entertainment' is covered by this guy and his 'TV'. Feels like I'm in this guy's living room and not at Target. Can't even hear my own thoughts from all the noise. I don't know how the cashiers stand there all day. They should really send him to a nearby library for the electricity, wifi and shelter, or at least provide some cheap headphones. Somehow paying customers are not important any more at this store, and people who leach off the store's resources are provided accommodations. read more

I purchased a facial cream of Cerave 2 days ago for $12.79 I went to use it and the lid to the bottle was broken and I was unable to screw it back on. I brought back my receipt and the bottle of facial cream Cerave and got the exact same product and cream and they charged me an extra $5.00 because the price had gone up in 3 days. My husband was returning and didn't question it but I am going to return the bottle and purchase online because it's cheaper. I bought a Simply Lemonade drink from this store at the customer service desk this past weekend on 12/8/2018 and discovered when I got home that they charged me a SODA TAX of 13.25% on my drink. FYI, this SODA TAX was REPEALED on Dec 1, 2017. It is now over 1 YEAR LATER. I called their customer service desk to inform them on this discrepancy and how I could report this error in their system since others are probably getting overcharged. They said I can there was nothing they could do since it was "in their system" but I could bring the receipt back and get a refund... BEWARE TO EVERYONE buying sodas or sweet drinks from this location. You may be getting overcharged and obviously this Target is not being proactive at getting this resolved. Not sure if it's just the customer service register that has this issue or if it's with all registers in this store or all target stores. I usually don't buy many sweet drinks from Target but I'll definitely look twice at my receipt before I leave. read more

There is nothing like a late night target run. They have recently changed the store layout which I love. I usually do not have any major compliants but the checkout time. For the most part the cashier's are pretty nice. I have not had a bad experience thus far from this location. My only wish is if I could have a glass of wine or two while shop. I have NEVER been so grateful to find a target. I was in the area for an interview and because of a combination of sleep depravation and just constant traveling I left my collared shirts at home. There really weren't any other pieces of clothing that I bought that could substitute for a fancy shirt that would go with the suit so I had to scramble. What made things complicated was that I was now in Chicago, in my hotel now 10:30pm ... where would I be able to buy a button down shirt? Ah, yes Target. I was able to find this Target just about half a mile from the Blackstone Hotel downtown. Luckily I had 30 min to briskly walk over to the store before they closed (thank you employees there who work late so that people like me who stupidly leave essential clothing at home can last minute find something decent). It's a 2 story department store (4 if you include the 2 deck parking garage). Men's clothing is on the 2nd floor. The choices are limited but they do have suits, ties and collared shirts. Again, I'm incredibly appreciative of the convenient location and hours of this Target and this experience will forever be seared into my mind! I will treasure that shirt and actually looks pretty nice with my suit! Recommend this place if you're downtown... in the middle of the night... and nothing else is open. What's also great is that they are open at 7AM so if you miss them in the evening, chances are you can drop in early. Decent store, minimal selection but generally they have something you can use. read more

Selection is so poor at this location. In the middle of winter, there were only two kinds of gloves: see-through for $3 or wayyy too thick for $20. No ear muffs in the entire store and the coat section was so small... I couldn't even. It wasn't well organized and hard to find items. Massive lines and unprofessional staff. read more

Diamond in guest services is HORRIBLE. I walked up to the desk with my barcode ready for her to scan. Though she saw it, she told me she did NOT need it. (????) She needed my ID. (?????) What is the barcode for then?? Anyway, no proper greeting. Took too long to retrieve my items while the professional young lady stationed next to her asked her guests for EITHER Barcode or ID, whichever was MORE CONVENIENT for the guest. Recall, my barcode was ready to scan. Once she retrieved my items she did not say anything further... her coworker stationed next to her did, however, say "thank you" and bid her guests a "good evening".
