Popping in Chicago... Just couldn't resist checking out Pop Mart since we were in the grand shopping district of Magnificent Mile as there were shops within shops and Pop Mart is no different as it's in The Shops at North Bridge that's connected to Nordstrom but is located outside if that makes any sense. Not the biggest locations that I've visited but well organized by types of characters along with new features are prominently displayed love that they have various items displayed so you know not just the size but what the blind boxed items looks like especially if you can visualize from the boxed image. Having the app does help for you to earn points to various gifs I guess since I'm very new to this a free shopping bag was the current offer that I didn't need since I limited myself to a single box and it was the Duckoo is my newest cutie favorite and it was the "in the kitchen" series and got the adorable egg toast lol! My kind of gambling is a winner winner blind choosing cutie and it gave me the moment of joy and bliss as they keep coming out with new ones the temptation are unavoidable but part of the fun. Noticed this walking past and the kid wanted to go, so we did on the way back. Trendy Japanese collectibles, basically. Ended up not really being Kid K's thing. This interesting gift shop with many Japanese action figures. The store is unique and it is one of the kind. It is great for a visit. Many young fan are in this store. The main character are Labubu, Hirono, Cry Baby and more. Labubu is a steal. Great for the picture. All display item is very cute. Some are collectibles. I like the visit. I was in Chicago and decided to check out this Pop Mart location. I had planned to just get a few Duckoo in the Kitchen Series, but I was shocked not pleasantly surprised they had the full set of Dimoo Pixar phone magnets! I ended up buying a lot but they ran out of the freebie for purchasing above a certain amount. Feeling playful at this fun place to visit, especially now when it is a hot trend. But the store was super crowded and very warm inside. The store is well lit and laid out so you can shop by collections but be prepared to spend some dough on a pop collectible or a trendy gift. I needed a cool cocktail after the busy store so we headed past Nordstrom to Lao Sze Chuan on MI Ave for a Lycheetini. (And I think my Labubu appreciated the lovely tone of my Lycheetini)! read more

Okay, so I am now on a mission to purchase a little trinket from every city I visit and while visiting Chicago we dropped by Pop Mart. Our hotel was only a 10 minute walk from Pop Mart so my friends and I knew we had to drop by. This store is a lot larger than ours in San Diego so there was ample space to walk around and I didn't feel super pressured by others. The team here greeted us right away and asked if we needed a shopping bag, I was only getting one and I knew having a shopping bag would definitely cause me to add more. They had so many options for Cry Baby I really want them all but only chose one. Obviously they're blind boxes so I ended up opening it in store and immediately latching it to my purse. Again there were so many options, I even saw the tempura shrimp Labubu ipod case. I would have snagged it by my friend bought it for me for my birthday. If you're in Chicago and shopping I'd definitely drop by here and pick up a little trinket instead. The prices do range depending on what you purchase but I think mine was $32? This was my first time in a Pop Mart store and it was really fun to look around they had a lot of different blind boxes - I got a couple new Labubus which I was excited about. We were there about 40 minutes before closing and the store was still pretty crowded but not overwhelming. Don't ask me how this has happened but over the course of the past year I've become a labubu fan. It started with one and now they just keep putting out new drops! All that to say, I'm glad that Chicago has a POP MART store. The store usually has a line but if you get there early, you can get in pretty quickly surprisingly yesterday on a busy Saturday afternoon. I only get to stand in line for about six minutes. The best thing is that they have a nice selection beyond the monsters and so you can check out the range of POP MART characters. The good thing is that these days they have lots of labubus! So if you are interested, get yourself there quickly. I like it because it's easier to get something in person (although they are still blind boxes) where they usually have some kind of unopened items so you can see what you might be getting . Didn't believe the reviews but worst PopMart I've been in. I was hoping to get a quick bag key chain (nothing specific also NOT labubu) for my niece so asked a salesperson where can I find some, she replied: "I really don't know" I asked if she can point me to an area: "You just got to find them". Since someone is my family is Labubu addicted we paid a visit to this Pop Part. They have a huge and varied inventory of items that I had only seen online. Honestly most the figurines and sets I had never seen before. Plus they had huge window front display items that were actually for sell if you wanted to drop $1,200 or so. I came to this Popmart for the 1st time for an In-Store Pick Up. I live in South Elgin, so getting downtown is almost 2 hrs. But I found the location to be quite convenient even if you drive there. I was able to park standby to run inside and quickly show my QR code for my package. When I first approached the Pop Mart, the front glass doors were a bit dingy, scratched up, and not clean. I'm not used to seeing this and it didn't give a welcoming first impression for a store that sells collectibles. But once inside the store, the displays were nicely set out and the store was clean and the staff were super friendly. The store was well stocked with all the standard IP designs. My favorite of course was the Labubu's and that display was front and center and many were out of stock. read more

This is Pop Mart is absolutely huge compared to Rosemont! Tons of merchandise, including the harder to find Molly - Squid Games. Everything is elegantly laid out, so it feels like a store / museum. Everything inside is fun, cute, and on trend right now. Prices are comparable to Amazon (but of course this is considered a piece of 'luxury' right now so a small blind box is still pricey). Also of course the majority of items are blind boxes, so at least if you feel that if you buy from different stores there's a chance you might get a different item. Came in and purchased a Peach Riot item for $17. It was also nice to see the larger artwork displayed. Still a bit in shock that the larger dolls run over $1000, so we'll just stick to the tinier blind boxes. read more

This is Pop Mart's first store in Chicago! It's such a bright and colorful store with a wide selection of collectible figurines from the Pop Mart brand, and some in collaboration with big brands like Disney. My favorite part of the store was the Labubu section (it's so popular these days and so cute), but most of the figurines were sold out. Keep in mind that these figurines are not cheap, most of them range from $15-$20 each, and if you want XXL figures, then they can be about $100-$200. Overall the staff are really kind and provide an engaging atmosphere for kids shopping. read more

Cute but very small store! There's almost always a line outside, but it moves fairly quickly since the shop itself is tiny. Inside, you'll find lots of fun Japanese toys and collectibles, including authentic Labubu figures. It's definitely one of the trendiest spots right now. Had never heard of this store or brand before, but my partner is a fan of one of the brands they did a collab with so I stopped by while I was in town. It's like somewhere between an art museum and an Apple Store, all for their in-house series of blind-box collectible figurines and other merchandise. Friendly employees happy to help, and quite a wide selection of figures and merch! Reasonably priced for the unique nature of what's on offer (and what can't be a cheap location rent-wise). I love this store. I know it's a pop-up but I hope it stays forever. We got back from Japan just after this store opened and it was a really nice surprise! The staff there should be trained properly when it comes to their manners. One of the staff ran into my kid instead of offering an apology she went like " Gosh" while all the cashiers were watching. No one came to us apologize for the situation. Very sad. read more

The manager Staci is one of the rudest managers I've ever encountered. I talked to some of the other staff and they said they all had issues with her. she gave me attitude for no reason. she did make it a great point to say "it's Staci with an I" so I won't forget. read more

Employees avoiding eye contact, very annoyed vibe when you ask them anything, no hello, no nothing, just told me to stand against the wall for pick up like an execution line haha. The girl told me to wait for another email and I didn't know if she meant wait for a QR code because she didn't explain anything, just touched my phone without asking with no explanation. We were so excited to take a trip to Pop Mart in Chicago. We traveled 2.5 hours to get there. It was like visiting a museum. You can see all the displays but nothing is for sale! Lucky we also went to the Harry Potter store. That was great! read more

Was so excited to finally make my way to the popmart downtown just to come out sad. Had a terrible interaction with an employee that seems she didn't want to be there. I was looking at merchandise and my son was by me not touching anything and she said excuse me because she was holding a big box. My son was not blocking the aisle or nothing and she said watch your kid. Again not blocking the aisle and she had PLENTY of space to walk as the store was not busy at all at that time. read more

We are from the suburbs and to get to this pop mart we really have to travel far and its okay since my kids have been wanting to go. When we got there we were greeted by this nice asian lady with long hair and the made us feel comfortable. After we paid for our items, we realized we want more to give away for the coming holidays, since we live far might as well get what we want incase we don't come back in a while, thats when the hispanic long hair manager started being rude and mean the way she talked to us was with annoyance because we have to buy more and she made us feel like we are stealing something, it was embarrassing to the other customers. My son was holding an item and she snatched it from him and told him she will be holding on to it in the front and my son kept telling her I can hold it and with her annoyed voice told my son NO. When we are about to pay she told my husband another one? Whats the matter with her we are paying for the item. Why put a person like that in a place thats supposed to bring happiness to the people? My oldest son was pissed with how she treated him and ruined his experienced. Find a nicer manager. If it wasn't from the friendliness of the other staff she would ruined our whole experience. read more
