"Oh Yes Chicago" is, as you can probably figure, an obligatory souvenir store in a very touristy, high traffic area (Navy Pier). I guess the easiest way I can describe its location is that it is right around the corner from the food outlet section in the covered shopping area of Navy Pier. Actually, you will find it right around the corner from the Pot Belly Sandwich Shop. They have quite a bit of selection of t-shirts, hats, magnets, shot glasses, keychains, stuffed animals, and any other kind of kitschy, traditional type of souvenir you can imagine. If there is an item you want to say "Chicago", then chances are good they have it for sale here. Prices are less gouge-ey than other options in the area, so there's that. We picked up a couple of things here and the employees were nice to us, but we didn't ask too much of them either. It is what it is, so for what it is it's a-ok. 3 stars. read more

Buyer beware, all sales are final! I bought a hoodie for my daughter, and when she tried it on after we left the store , the item did not fit. When I tried to exchange for a larger size the next day, the manager would not allow it. Corporate tells me the clerk should have advised me all sales are final (I was told no such thing at point of purchase). Note, the sports souvenir store right next door has a 30 day exchange policy (I know cause I also bought an item there and it's stated on the receipt). I advise stay away from this place, as there are so many more souvenir options in the area with fairer return policies. read more

This place doesn't care if you're satisfied with your purchase--they just want your money! My husband purchased a hoodie from the Navy Pier location for my daughter. It did not fit and he attempted the very next day to exchange the hoodie for a larger size. Oh Yes Chicago was not having any if it! $38 wasted! No reason given WHY the store policy states sweatshirts can not be exchanged. The tags were still on it and it had not been worn. read more

What's their not to like here? It's Chicago Souvenirs. If anything it's the prices that one will not like. What would anyone expect though. It's at Navy Pier one of the most known tourist spots? So you pay because of the location. It's still fun and how could anyone not like some fun souvenir presents. They have stuff for the whole family including the fur babies. I wish I could a Cubs dog shirt for my dog. Now it's worth a lot with them winning the World Series! Go Chicago Cubs!!! Congrats!!! read more

If you're at Navy Pier there is a good chance you'll come by this tourist spot. It's not a bad place to look for a little something to commemorate your visit to the windy city or maybe find a souvenir for the person that's feeding your dog while you're away. Typical to any of the big city souvenir shops, they have tons of Chicago branded merchandise for just about any taste. Clothing, magnets, pens, stuffed animals, glassware. Pretty much have stuff for any age group you might be looking for. Staff was friendly, but prices are a little on the high side. But, I'm guessing that the rent they are paying is pretty steep as well. Didn't have any issues with double charges like other reviews have indicated, but those were all a few years old, so maybe that's been taken care of. With any of these stores, check the quality before you purchase, some items are pretty good, some are made kind of cheap. If you're already out at Navy Pier, worth waking through to see what they have. read more

Vibrant, friendly and cute small business!! Employee named Logan was very kind and helpful. Some of these old reviews don't make much sense given my experience. A little strange that some of them mention extensive employee issues, which makes me think maybe they're reviews from angry old employees. The employees I saw the other day were eager to assist me, even when they were understaffed and being pulled in multiple directions. They were quick to help me find what I was looking for, as well as providing me with some local food recommendations! If you're a little annoyed by the bag tax here, like me, you'll be pleasantly surprised to hear that they don't charge you for your first bag! My only complaint is that I wish they had a large in the sweater I really loved. Oh well! Next time. I recommend stopping by this shop if you find yourself at Navy Pier. read more

The employees in this store are scamming credit card charges. Charging your card, telling you it didn't go through, and asking for cash. The charges do go through! They are crooks. Upon getting home there are unauthorized charges on the card. read more

Terrible, terrible experience as employee. Jonny-manager- fantastic but rest-very questionable. My first day-one employee was very high on cannabis and extremely rude to everybody. Second day- Jonny assistant Linda-unprofessional, rude, not engaging at all with business / visitors even didn't know that she works there! / Telling me that I can't interact with customers /?!/, can't use phone at all-when I tried to call Jonny with issues on the shop floor, can't put my sandwich to fridge/ it is for managers only/... while I made excellent conversion and UPT run on this day, I figured out that this place is not for me. it was great there necklaces were so god damn cutee i loved them but when i wen tthe employees were really slow i gave my money and it took them a long time to take it and i had not that much time but the clothes were really cute but were a lot of money so i did not get them but the other things were cute and the stickers were so nice to put on your mac book so yas. they also had a place to take a picture and they put it up on their tv thing that was cool and it could a so get sent to your email as well. but overall i loved the vibe and things there so it is 5 stars for me. read more

They double charged my card and blatantly lied about it. When I noticed that my bank statement said it was processing he had nothing to say other than it wasn't showing up on his computer. I showed him my phone and he still wanted to say that it wasn't happening. BEWARE or just pay in cash. I will never support this store again. read more

Chicago is great and very tourist friendly, but of course there's always an exception: Oh Yes Souvenirs is managed poorly, with employees who are rude and arrogant. I've never been laughed at my face this way, even in Paris! I am a business owner and I know how one bad experience for one client can overshadow many positive ones... So Annette, since you are the supervisor of this store, you are in the end responsible for the actions of your manager, Elizabeth, and your employee, Briana, who treated us with disrespect and contempt, so much so that instead of buying 3 tshirts at around 60$, we paid the full 10$ for a chipped mug that was not steady on a shelf to start with. In any case like this, as a business owner, I would have given the customer the benefit of the doubt, especially as we were going to spend so much more. You made the choice of getting our 10$ instead, and making fun of us, like stupid brats. Wrong choice. I recently was in Chicago on a trip with a group of students from the Detroit area. We were a large group and all of the staff were extremely helpful in assisting our group with their purchases. There were a number of souvenir shops at navy pier, but after brousing around, even I decided to bring back some gifts for my co-workers. I even bought something for my puppy. Pretty reasonable prices compared considering it is a tourist trap venue. read more

I was visiting Chicago on vacation and went to Navy Pier to watch fireworks on Saturday night. I wanted to bring some souvenirs back for a few people including the neighbor girl who was watching our dog. Navy Pier is a bit of a tourist trap but I found the prices and variety in this store to be better then most. It was clean and had much to pick from. I ended up working with a young lady from Ireland who was wonderful in helping me pick out a few tee shirts and knicknacks and then something for my dog and my dog babysitter next door. I was expecting it to be a rip off but everything was very reasonably priced and pretty good quality for what it was. I visited this store in late Spring just before the Pier got underway for the summer season. It has lots of fun, touristy souvenirs and an area devoted specifically to pets - with very unique items. However, buyer beware!!! Don't let the bling and colors go to your head - especially if you do not live in Chicago and cannot return your item when it proves faulty. I think if you read the labels on the items in the store, you will find most of them are cheaply mass produced in foreign countries and are not meant to last. I did not. I purchased a really cute dog collar with fake rhinestones. It was pretty expensive, but seemed worth the splurge at the time. My dog had worn the collar less than a week, however, when the rhinestones started to fall out, leaving very sharp empty metal grommets. I was badly cut by one of them while day playing with my dog one day. I live several thousand miles from Chicago, so had no other recourse but to try and contact the store by phone. After 3 calls I finally connected with a manager who told me they had no refund policy, but I could exchange the collar for something else. She would have to get an ok from someone higher up, though. I also felt she was not exactly aware of how she might conduct this transaction over the phone and/or via mail, either. Probably most people don't ever go to the trouble to contact them with a problem. Nevertheless, she promised she would get back to me. She did not. I called several more times to try and reach her, but was unsuccessful. I left detailed messages with everyone I spoke to on how I could be reached. I was never contacted by anyone. I have finally given up trying - which I feel was their intended outcome. This store caters to a tourist clientele that leaves the city and they bank on the fact no one will bother them with complaints about shoddy goods. If they do, the store is pretty adept at dodging any sort of customer service. This is a very unscrupulous business model and it really stinks. They may think it will never catch up with them - but guess what . . . !!!! read more
