Advertised hours show that the store closes at 7 on Sunday. Came back to buy some Chicago items at 6:10 and the store was closed.

How bazaar! This place has big deals in Little China! This…read moresouvenir shop has it all. If you wanna look like you've been to China with a bunch of Chinese stuff made in China, this is the place. They do have things relating to Chicago, but a lot of the stuff is just Chinese stuff that'll sit around your house gathering dust. Think lots of little statues, vases, cups, bowls. I feel like a bull in a China shop in here- all the aisles and merchandise is so jammed close together, that every time I turn around, I feel like I'm going to break some fragile jade egg or some bamboo vase. They also sell Chinese clothing, which all seemed a bit small for my tastes. But it's pretty. It's a shop in a nice location- it's sort of in the souvenir district of Chinatown- there's a few cool other similar shops on the same street, right in front of the Chinese archway that leads you into Chinatown.

Fun little souvenir shop with a wide range of 装饰品诀窍…read more(Zhuāngshì pn) which I think means knick knacks or decorations. They sell calligraphy pens but I wasn't able to write this, though I tried for a full 5 minutes. The staff is helpful, and patient. There's quite a bit of stuff crammed into a small space, and it ranges from the very cheap (and looks very cheap) the to the inexpensive (and doesn't look cheap) souvenirs to nice decorations. It's too tight with too many fragile items to bring in younger children (unless they are very well behaved) but there are lots of toys to give to children as gifts. Not surprisingly it's all made in China, including the Japanese sake serving sets which are quite a bit cheaper than you would find elsewhere. It's really fun to shop here, and you can't leave Chinatown with out some sort of souvenir, right?

I've driven by the shop several times and wondered what it was--I saw the solidarity fist; bar? Union headquarters? I found out what it was when I ended up here to buy souvenirs when flying home to visit family. They have TONS of stuff, lots of t-shirts and sweatshirts, but also hats, glasses, mugs... even pacifiers with the Chicago flag on them (you know I bought one for the toddler). They have some standard Chicago flag stuff but they also put their spin on it with some flags made with animal paws, or maybe my favorite was the one with apples on it. I think that's what lured me in, actually; my best friend is a teacher and I wanted to get one to take to her. The guy that works there told me the story, that the teacher's union was going to strike and this was a design they had come up with and Rep CHI started printing them. I looooooove the way the Chicago flag is used as the basis of so many designs and this is one of my favorites. Prices are super reasonable and you'll find lots of great stuff here. If you have visitors, I'd definitely bring them here first to look for souvenirs. The parking is fairly easy, all street in this area of Jeff/Portage Park. And grab a few of their little buttons on the way out!

I will be back for Christmas gifts (even when I shop for me, to me, haha) because they have the best selections. This time, I only purchased two buttons. They are only $1. I never see buttons that affordable. I am pretty sure it was the owner behind the counter, and she was super fun and nice. If she was not the owner, she was a very devoted employee. I look forward to my next visit because this expansive shop is outstanding!

What a quirky, odd little shop…read more The store has a ton of stuff. Front to back, floor to ceiling there are items for purchase everywhere. The price points seem reasonable too. My friend was looking for specific decor for a room she was decorating so we came here. She found exactly what she was looking for so it's all good. When I first walked in I noticed how cold it was inside. It seemed like they were not using their heat or had the thermostat turned waaaay low. I heard a greeting but saw no one. I eventually saw a guy dressed in a winter coat sitting on a low chair behind the counter. He continued to stay focused on his IPad and did not interact with us except to take payment. There were stacks of boxes, old newspapers and a variety of nonsense piled in disarray. The glass shelves were full of dust and the area with bamboo plants were covered in dried water/dirt stains. It was fascinating to see actually. Overall, my friend found some great things. Don't go there for the atmosphere or service. You might be disappointed. But do pay them a visit if you want to pick up a few little items at a decent price.

Have you ever been running low on Buddha statues, or metallic plastic cats that wave their paws? Have you ever said, jeeze, what I need in my life is a pile of fake Chinese money I can buy and make it rain?! There's just random. I've heard that you're never supposed to buy jade for yourself, it's supposed to be gifted? I think this is a good place to do that. Everything here is made in China. The prices are cheap, and this store is SO packed with merchandise, all cheaply built stuff from China, I feel like I'm going to break something in here, and have to buy a China "Ming dynasty" vase or something. The staff was nice, and it is a cool Chinese place to check out in Chinatown. When I went, they were having a sale. It's a picturesque store, right down the way from the Chinatown archway, and all the hustle and bustle around this shop is in Chinese!
