We wanted welcome totes for our destination wedding in Maui made by a local Chicago company and found Replica Chicago on Etsy. After an easy ordering experience, I added 50 buttons to the original tote order (with custom coloring). Everything arrived quickly and was better quality than expected. Lyn had excellent communication and took care of this order without adding any additional stress to the wedding. I would happily recommend them to anyone needing custom accessories printed. Whether you are experiencing an unnecessarily high level of wedding stress or not. ;)

This is probably the best Chicago-themed knickknack store I've visited so far in the city. I sent hubby over there a few months ago since I was unable to make it. Though I want to be as descriptive as possible so that you all know what this store is about, there are only two (2) words from me: how cool! Most items you see in the store are made by local artists or recycled materials. If you're one of the proud Chicagoans who live in Portage Park, Jefferson Park, Belmont Cragin, and Hermosa, you will find apparel and accessories that you can shout out to the world "hey, this is where I'm from. I'm a north-side represent, baby!" Obviously this store makes customized t-shirts. The guy in the house was working on it while hubby and I were browsing the entire store. There's so much to see, but here are the highlights for some mechanize for your amusement: - a clock depicting 77 neighborhoods (might have missed a few) in Chicago made out of a scrap wood ($38, I bought this) - "Chi or Die" racerback tank top - "bottle cap" magnets - recycled cross-body bags and wallets - "L" map necklaces (a variety of styles to choose from) - Candle filled inside a mini Jarritos bottle I highly suggest that you follow Replica Chicago on their Instagram. They always diligently update their page on the new receipts, special sales, and events. They also have a reward program. You get one (1) stamp on every $10 purchase. Once you collect ten (10) stamps, a free t-shirt will be on your way.

It's been on my places to check out for months as a former resident of Portage Park. I honestly didn't expect much, hence why I have put it off for so long. I was expecting over-priced, gimmicky Chicago accents for sale. Instead I found a trove of really neat oddities and treats. The kind of stuff made here at home and not in some shack off the Yangtze River, finally being sold at astronomical prices inside tourist traps downtown. At check out, I was offered a free button and some fridge magnets and a little card with the Chicago flag and it's meaning. So not only did I make an awesome purchase for friends out of state who will now be "reppin" the Chi, but I also learned something. Great offers, great service.

Being a HUGE Chicago fan of the city, it is great to not only find a store that is able to supply me with cool Chicago inspired products but to also have it be a small business, it couldn't get any better. All of their products are top quality and are NOT what you would find at those dingy corner stores. If you are looking for unique Chicago inspired products or simply looking for a patch, such as myself, please make the trip to this great business.

    One part of my purchase.

I stopped in two weekends ago, a bracelet on their Facebook had my interest. Great place, greeted as soon as I walked in. I love the prints they sell plus the hoodies and more. I will return soon. Great place for gifts. I recommend this location.

If you wanna look like you've been to China with a bunch of Chinese stuff made in China, this is the place. They do have things relating to Chicago, but a lot of the stuff is just Chinese stuff that'll sit around your house gathering dust. Think lots of little statues, vases, cups, bowls. I feel like a bull in a China shop in here- all the aisles and merchandise is so jammed close together, that every time I turn around, I feel like I'm going to break some fragile jade egg or some bamboo vase. They also sell Chinese clothing, which all seemed a bit small for my tastes. But it's pretty. It's a shop in a nice location- it's sort of in the souvenir district of Chinatown- there's a few cool other similar shops on the same street, right in front of the Chinese archway that leads you into Chinatown.

There's quite a bit of stuff crammed into a small space, and it ranges from the very cheap (and looks very cheap) the to the inexpensive (and doesn't look cheap) souvenirs to nice decorations. It's too tight with too many fragile items to bring in younger children (unless they are very well behaved) but there are lots of toys to give to children as gifts. Not surprisingly it's all made in China, including the Japanese sake serving sets which are quite a bit cheaper than you would find elsewhere. It's really fun to shop here, and you can't leave Chinatown with out some sort of souvenir, right?

Literally just around the corner from our hotel on Michigan Avenue was the I Love Chicago store. From the moment we walked into the store, we were quite busy looking at each corner of the store trying to find the perfect gifts. We found a number of cute snow globes on top of the Bean of all different sizes. Further back in the store were some clearance items where there were some great magnets. There were sports team merchandise, Chicago-themed candies, plenty of shirts, hats, and other clothing, and so much more. When you go to their website (https://lovefromcompanies.com/collections/chicago), you will receive a pop-up coupon for $10 off orders of $50 or more. There was also a sign up link by the counter where you could get 10% off by signing up. While there are more than three locations in Chicago and around the country, there are only three I Love Chicago locations including the one on Michigan Avenue, which I visited. The mission statement at Love From USA is to provide an extraordinary travel convenience and gift shopping experience, capturing lasting memories reflective of the local culture and lifestyle of the communities they serve. They support locally made products from small businesses across their markets. Love from USA was founded in 1979 as a paperweight kiosk and has grown tremendously since then. Now, they have 24 stores across the country. Chicago was the second place that they had stores. They also have a commitment to give back and take part in the Art For Good Project, Red Heart Project, and Local Artisan Project. As everyone leaving the store holding bags of souvenirs, it was obvious that other customers were on the same mission as us and were successful. I certainly recommend this store to others looking for the same.

My friend was looking for specific decor for a room she was decorating so we came here. She found exactly what she was looking for so it's all good. When I first walked in I noticed how cold it was inside. It seemed like they were not using their heat or had the thermostat turned waaaay low. I heard a greeting but saw no one. I eventually saw a guy dressed in a winter coat sitting on a low chair behind the counter. He continued to stay focused on his IPad and did not interact with us except to take payment. There were stacks of boxes, old newspapers and a variety of nonsense piled in disarray. The glass shelves were full of dust and the area with bamboo plants were covered in dried water/dirt stains. It was fascinating to see actually. Overall, my friend found some great things. Don't go there for the atmosphere or service. You might be disappointed.
