This store is right across the bean and it has all your chicago gear wants and needs. The store isn't very big but you'd be surprise at the amount of items you can find in there. I was looking for a new bear's shirt (yes, I'm a loyal bears fan). This store had so many to choose from that I ended up buying two because I couldn't decide. I love the quality of the shirts I purchased. They are not just your average cheap souvenir type of shirts which I'm thankful for. They should last quite some time. They have all the Chicago major league fan gear. They also have a pretty big clearance section in the back. They are more than just a sports clothing store. They have a variety of Chicago souvenirs inside also. If you need anything Chicago related this is the store to go to. read more

One of many souvenir shops downtown. They have all the souvenirs you need. Most of the hoodies or sweatshirts seem to only be available in the smaller sizes. Either they don't carry the normal sizes or they sell out quickly. Pricing was good for hoodies and sweatshirts but other items like magnets and cups were more on the higher end. read more

Store worker around 5'5 with glasses, male, glared at us when I asked if they sell xs hoodies (they do not carry any xs sizes). my boyfriend asked to throw away an empty drink cup and the dude told us to go out the store and find a trash can. extremely rude service. will not be back. We were walking around Michigan Avenue a few years ago enjoying the summer when the items in this story caught our eye. Lots of cute and unique items geared towards Chicago and another nonsense stuff. I ended up getting a Chilly Willy t-shirt from here. I love it! Prices here back then were a bit high probably since this store is located on Michigan Avenue. Havent been back since we were last here, but I'm sure they still have fun stuff here since that was their specialty! read more

No, I'm not a Chicago tourist and I also don't roam the plains with buffalo. BUT, I do need the spontaneous sporting shirt to wear (I mean, I can't be caught in pictures in the same gear). So, 'Where the Buffalo Roam' fits my needs. The store is small, but they carry all of the Chicago sports teams' items. As an added bonus, there's even a dressing room (with a door). That's kinda' a big deal at these type of stores, just sayin'. One thing to note, the store changed its name to something else, but it's still and always will be "Where the Buffalo Roam." read more

Agree with the previous reviews that this WAS a great store. Unlike the dozen or so generic tourist t-shirt shops that line Michigan Ave., this store provided great deals on quality merchandise. Sadly, that is no longer the case. I went here today to stock up on Hawks post-championship swag, only to find that this space is no longer Where the Buffalo Roam, but rather a generic shop blaring loud, crappy music. RIP. read more

"Monica Lewinsky's ex-boyfriend's wife for president" - One of the unique/clever t-shirts advertised in the window (I pass this store going to and from work everyday). This is not the average tourist shop. They have a more unique selection of items and high quality sports apparel/ fan memorabilia. I have never seen so many witty t-shirts in one place! This store is fun just for entertainment purposes or killing time before catching the train. My favorite part of the store is their sports apparel. With my boyfriend being a big Bears/ White Sox fan, I know where I'm getting all his gifts from now on... I give this store 4 starts because they are a bit pricey, but not outrageous. read more

This is a great store for a Chicago souvenir. I received especially great customer service. I live in Aurora, CO and was in Chicago for work. I purchased a t-shirt to bring back to my daughter, but when I got home I realized I purchased the wrong size. I called the store and asked if I could mail the shirt back to them and exchange it for a different size. They did accept my return and mailed me a different sized t-shirt. Considering that it's not a huge store they have quite a nice selection of t-shirts and jerseys and similar things. They have Soccer tees, I got an Italian one there. It doesn't fit me already though, but I don't think they run small, I just eat too much. Well it's a combination of the two things probably, heh. So I need to go back soon and get a XXL one. They of course have lots of Cubs stuff which is neat. They have Capone shirts, funny shirts, and even a Thundercats shirt! They had other little touristy things but all I cared about was the shirts. read more
