I stopped by on Tuesday August 27, 2019 after attending Tuesdays on The Kern Terrace featuring Isaiah Collier and the Chosen Few Live Jazz Concert! I entered the MCA Store through the interior entryway on the interior of the museum-therefore it was considered the 2nd Floor! Amazing Offerings: 2nd Floor: There is a huge table area dedicated to "local" Chicago Art and Foodie and History books.....so exciting! There are adorable children's and adult art books, notecards, toys, and my favorite thing for babies and toddlers were the adorable llama knit slippers and plus bunny rabbits with long ears. ART SKATEBOARDS DECORATE THE STAIRWAY DESCENDING FROM THE 2nd to 1st FLOOR....really creative and unique! 1st Floor: Jewelry Kitchen and Hosting Supplies T-Shirts, Bags, Clothing Artsy Gadgets Unique Art Plates and MCA Gear.

With holiday shopping just around the corner it's helpful to have a few 'special' gifts in one's kit-bag. The MCA store, located adjacent to the Museum of Contemporary Art, carries a wide selection of intersting items including fun stuff for the kiddies. There's a book store upstairs, too. Hours: Tuesday 10AM - 8PM Wednesday - Sunday 10AM - 5PM (free Museum admission on Tuesday between 5 and 8PM)

This is a cool little store, better than the museum itself. A good place to buy a gift or just something different for yourself

I just love this store, great unique gift ideas here. Just came here last week for an update on the new exhibits. Good times. Love the MCA.

We stopped by the cafe area and ordered a Butterbeer and a Butterbeer muffin. The Butterbeer itself was delicious, but the portion size was pretty small considering the premium price tag. As for the Butterbeer muffin, it was just okay--nothing spectacular. Overall, it's a fun and magical experience for the setup and photos, just be prepared for the typical high tourist prices on the treats.

Literally just around the corner from our hotel on Michigan Avenue was the I Love Chicago store. From the moment we walked into the store, we were quite busy looking at each corner of the store trying to find the perfect gifts. We found a number of cute snow globes on top of the Bean of all different sizes. Further back in the store were some clearance items where there were some great magnets. There were sports team merchandise, Chicago-themed candies, plenty of shirts, hats, and other clothing, and so much more. When you go to their website (https://lovefromcompanies.com/collections/chicago), you will receive a pop-up coupon for $10 off orders of $50 or more. There was also a sign up link by the counter where you could get 10% off by signing up. While there are more than three locations in Chicago and around the country, there are only three I Love Chicago locations including the one on Michigan Avenue, which I visited. The mission statement at Love From USA is to provide an extraordinary travel convenience and gift shopping experience, capturing lasting memories reflective of the local culture and lifestyle of the communities they serve. They support locally made products from small businesses across their markets. Love from USA was founded in 1979 as a paperweight kiosk and has grown tremendously since then. Now, they have 24 stores across the country. Chicago was the second place that they had stores. They also have a commitment to give back and take part in the Art For Good Project, Red Heart Project, and Local Artisan Project. As everyone leaving the store holding bags of souvenirs, it was obvious that other customers were on the same mission as us and were successful. I certainly recommend this store to others looking for the same.

You can buy tickets at the front (the left side) of the store for Cloud Bar & to go to the observation deck. I had a flight early in the morning, so I didn't do that, but I recommend it if you're visiting or just want a nice nigI bought this BEAUTIFUL book of Chicago street photography here for only $40. I say only $40, bc I plan on neatly tearing out several of the pages & framing them. It's such a beautiful book. I bought a Chicago recycled tote bag (that can be folded, & apparently used to be a water bottle!), a Cloud Bar coffee mug (bc it holds way more than 8 ounces & is such a beautiful ombré blue), & a Chicago photography book (the last one available for the night). The clothing items are priced fairly high, the hoodies are about $60-80. If you really want some high quality and low cost Chicago apparel, hit up the 24-hr Walgreens that's only a few blocks down the street. They have shirts, mugs, etc for like $10-20. HOWEVER! I gave this place 5 stars bc of the employee who helped me w the book. It wasn't priced (w a tag/sticker) but it was also the very last one on the shelf - it was found on display, so it wasn't even on the shelf. She noticed it wasn't a new edition so she actually called Cloud Bar (at the top floor) to see if they had any extra copies so that I could get a new one. Her taking the time & effort to do this without me even mentioning anything or asking her to do that was exceptionally thoughtful & kind. I presume they sell this same book at the Cloud Bar at the top of the building. She was on the phone for a bit, but they didn't have any new editions for me. I honestly am in LOVE with the book - it's absolutely stunning, the photography is so beautiful and will forever serve as a reminder of why I love Chicago so much & why I want to make this city my home either for medical school or for my life after that. I attached photos of the book. I'm so sorry I didn't get your name (the employee at the front desk), but I really appreciate your hospitality.

I did a lot of research and decided I wanted a Goyard tote bag as an everyday bag. We went to the Chicago location and I excitedly waited to be let in the doors. First of all, you can't take photos it is posted a few times through out the store, but I saw the other sale people letting the other shoppers take photos. The sales member helping me hardly looked up from his phone and when I asked about the color bags they had he pointed to where I could get the color samples. They were on a shelf and he couldn't be bothered to hand them to me. I asked to see the bag I wanted and it felt like I asked a teenager to take out the trash. I asked his opinion about the 2 colors I was debating between and he didn't seem to care and wasn't interested or invested in making the sale. Within about 15 minuets into our visit, I felt so unwelcomed and uncomfortable I decided I didn't want to buy the bag anymore. For years I have been planning to buy an expensive everyday bag and the experience here at Goyard was so negative, I walked away. My partner recently purchased 2 dog beds advertised for small to medium dogs. We have 2 frenchies and when the dog beds arrived, they are for toy dogs. The store refused a store credit which they usually give because they consider a dog bed a "trunk", which they did not indicate at the sale and it is also not intuitive (in fact, my partner originally was going to order 1 bed in blue and 1 in yellow, but was talked out of a special order). The money is already with Goyard in any event, but their unwillingness to take care of long time customers has lost them any future sale. Not even a call back from the manager as promised. Really poor customer service and very deceptive in marketing these beds for medium size dogs.
