This is a good family oriented place. I worked here before the staff is great. They don't treat you like some worker or a machine. This is a place of respect and love but get the job done first type of thing. I have a great relationship with the the staff especially the owner Bill he's very outgoing like me. He has my father's sense of humor lol. They keep your outside life in mind to where you can work a job and still make time for your own personal business unlike other companies. What I understood started out as an enthusiast collector of flea market and garage sale "treasures" many decades ago now morphed into a giant warehouse full of wekk, just about everything and anything you can imagine. As you can see the owner only adressed the Black person who made a review of his business. Where other WHITE PEOPLE made a complaint? I have never spoken to this owner William Rawski..I left messages for him after his employees lied, charged my credit card illegally and made up a story that I came over 1 week late. I already paid this company over $300 and was told to return a week after our production on December 9th, not a week after they charged my card, According to his ignorant employee Sara, she okayed this, they are closed on the weekends so a week would be December 18th..I called and spoke to the woman who Sara later said was her boss said I could not come in that day..the driver was unable...we came 1 day later...she said it was okay and no problem. Sara called me while I was in the car to ask when we are coming I said we are 20 minutes away...as I walked through the door..Sara yells at me claiming I was late...not only is this a lie they began to berate me..bully me..the woman who never said anything started to demean me the two were insulting and belligerent...we walked out as it would have escalated..so I don't get the police called on me...we know white people love to lie and call police...and the fact that Sara is a liar..I was scared...next thing I know my card was charged $140.00 without my knowledge..the $153.00..then when I asked to speak to the owner Bill Rawski she said he would never Fucking talk to me..and bingo he never did..instead this racist ditwad is responding to a paying customer who was abused ay his business...illegally took my money and now he has the twisted..lied to created story of what happened...but he is not racists..go to his FB page..he doesn't have 1 black friend and supports TRUMP..this has to stop..they claimed they would return my money but now threatening to keep it..this is a battle that won't end...they messed with the wrong Black Person..I WILL GO TO THE PRESS AND DO WHATEVER LEGAL JOURNEY THIS WILL TAKE ME...I WILL NOT SIT BACK AND NE TREATED THIS WAY... I've rented stuff from them for a couple of Northwestern shows, and they're fantastic. Really far away from NU, but it's worth it just to walk through the place - it's like the best flea market you'll ever go to, but everything's for rent. I even wrote a poem about it. I second the NICE people vote. Very friendly, and somehow they know immediately if they've got what you're looking for, and we're talking about a floor-to-ceiling stuffed warehouse the size of Home Depot. Ok, maybe not quite that big. But you get the idea. They aren't expensive either, which is great, and there's a 50% discount on rentals for student-produced shows. Now I just have to beg, borrow, or steal a car to get down there. read more

Was in a couple weeks ago to pick up some things with a co-worker. Items were supposed to have been ready for us when we got there, they weren't. Co-worker had gone in the week before to mark all the items. There was one guy there in the morning, but he wasn't able to help us, and office people did not show up until after 9:00A.M. (supposed to open at 9:00A.M.) and loading guys were not there until almost 10:00A.M. Selection is great, prices are pretty reasonable, but open on time. Please don't refer to me as "doll, honey, etc."; it's not friendly, it's creepy. read more

Love the props but the woman in the office is very offensive. I was in late last week and heard her mocking someone about their religion. Besides being extremely unprofessional, it borders on being against the law. I was very uncomfortable with what was said. I have been here before and her joking around definitely crosses a line. Other staff are extremely helpful but I cringe having to deal with this woman. read more

This is about as good as it gets if you are a fan of all things old. And I stress "all things". I went in there via a tip from a friend and this was truly one of the most pleasantly memorable experiences I've had, EVER!!!! I can't begin to describe how much stuff is in here. I described it to my friend, who is also a fan of vintage everything, that it is like dying and, when making it past the pearly gates, being revealed that this where all the good garage sale stuff was. Telephones, furniture, tvs, radios, mics, tape players, big clown heads, vintage optical and apothicary items, bars, a sea of ash trays, stuffed animal heads, etc. etc. etc. But this is just one floor. Then there's the basement- auto parts, vintage tools etc. It was totally overwhelming which is a good thing in this case. Very useful for film, theater and fun just to browse the isles. It's a definite must see. The items are for mostly for rent and a few are for sale so I wouldn't get too hopeful thinking you can just pick and buy whatever you want. The friendly staff are ready to assist if you have questions whether something is for rent or for sale. If you've been to the City Museum in St. Louis, this experience is way up there in regards to wonder and awe. read more

I have never had a good experience with this company! Worst services ever! The people that work there are RUDE RUDE RUDE! They offer no studet discounts and all their props are CRAP. No day rates, over priced, broken objects. No one wants to help you. Be aware this is not the only prop house is Chicago! I strongly advise taking your business elsewhere! read more
