Do not use their drive up order pick up!!! They will leave you out there!!!! My husband had to get off and go see what the hold up was! Not one person was trying to bring down the order! They weren't even close to bringing it to us! 10+ minutes waiting! If I wanted to shop in my sloth pajamas I would've went to Walmart! This used to be my favorite target, but now they have self check outs that stress me the heck out! I needed an employee to put in his code after every other item!!! This is the worst Target I have ever been to. Unfortunately it is the closest one to my work so I have to come here from time to time. I come here during my lunch hour and every single time I go to check out, they only have 2 cashiers open with at least 5 people per line. The last time I came here, I was in one of the 2 lines open, and the cashier turned off her light when there were multiple people in both lines! Also, some people were in the cafe line and were told by the Starbucks employees that the cafe was closed, they were out to lunch! I found this comical in the sense that a good establishment would close at lunchtime to go on their own lunch! I just think this target suffers from extremely poor management and scheduling. During a peak time like lunch time, all hands should be in deck. I've never seen or heard anyone call for back up on the registers. I usually spend around 10 mins waiting to check out. This store could benefit greatly from the self check out registers. I hate this target but being it's close to work, I do have to venture here a couple times a month. read more

My wife bought a Conair hairdryer about two years ago, we got a email from Target that these hair dryers had been recalled and this was just when my wife was thinking of getting a new hair dryer. If you make a purchase on the Target red card they will inform yo about the recall even if you did not register your product. The old dryer was picked up by UPS and we got a new one a week later about a $100 in value. Awesome read more

It's nice to finally have a Target on my way home from work. I was always having to go out of my way to hit Target after work. It's not really a two story Target. It's a creative use of spacy by putting the parking structure underneath the store, so you take an escalator up and down to the store and your cart takes a special cart escalator. Earring selection is terrible is TERRIBLE these days. Cheap, horrible stuff. I go to Kohls for cheap earrings that actually look decent. But there is a good toiletries selection and nice clearance sales if you keep your eye out. I still love Target for lots of items like my new little canvas sneaker, my new 25 lb kettle bell for work outs, my new Hello Kitty air freshner, the little dollar section when you walk in for useful and not so useful trinkets. This Azusa target is kind of hidden since its not on a main street and its north of Foothill on the one-way street of Azusa avenue so its not a street that you would often drive up unless you lived up in the foothills and are heading home. On that note, it's never too packed and never too messy and thrashed since its in this "secret" location. read more

I've been going to this Target for a couple of years but I think I'm done with it now. It has been going downhill recently and today I'm just beyond angry about my experience this week. I bought groceries from here on 6/27/16. Not a lot of groceries, just a few items for dinners and a few snacks. Among those items I bought were those bacon wrapped steak medallions that they have prepackaged and these individually wrapped hummus packs. I did not check the expiration dates on the items because the meat didn't look bad (and I planned on making it two days later) and I figured the hummus wasn't beyond the expiration date because there shouldn't be EXPIRED items ON THE SHELF. The next day (6/28/16), my husband ate the expired hummus without knowing it was expired, and promptly became ill. He missed a day of work because he was so sick. Since he became ill, we went over the stuff he had eaten in the last few days, and because of the recent recall of the hummus, he decided to look at the box. The hummus was actually expired SINCE 6/3/2016. ALMOST A MONTH this box has been sitting on their shelf. I had noticed recently that things like sour cream and milk were either extremely close to their dates there, or past. I should have complained before but sometimes it's difficult talking to their employees- they don't seem to care or listen. You ask them where things are and they shrug. They've filled this place with lots of apathetic, rude teenagers that don't even know their way around the store they work in. So, because my husband got sick, I didn't cook the steak medallions, and decide to fix something easier on the stomach for us to eat that night. I did, however, go to cook them the next day. They didn't look bad- but opening them, I did notice the very familiar smell of bad meat. They, too, were expired by almost a month. I called and talked to the manager at that point to let them know that I was upset and what I can do, if I could return them or what. I told her that I didn't have the receipt anymore and if she had told me that they couldn't return them without one, then I wouldn't have wasted my time going in there tonight. But, unfortunately, she told me I could just come in without the items AND without the receipt. I told her I only had the credit card that I used to purchase them and she said that would be fine, just come down and she'd let the customer service desk know I was coming and they'd refund my account. So I wasted time because I got there and no one knew anything about it, and they refused to get the manager (who told me she was working until 11:30pm), were extremely rude and told me they could not refund anything. I told them that I talked to Tina, the manager and that I'm doing what she told me I could do, and HEY YOU COULD ASK HER IF SHE'S WORKING, but they wouldn't. Finally they told me that I needed to go find the items in the store that I wanted to refund so I did- just to find that the last hummus on their shelf was ALSO expired. Upon letting the "customer service" rep know that that one, too, was extremely expired, she promptly told us that they couldn't refund the other item because it wasn't expired. She fought with us repeatedly that I needed to have the physical items in with me, and I repeatedly told her I WAS TOLD I DIDN'T NEED THEM, otherwise I would have brought the rotten meat and hummus in my car during 95*F weather. And why would I bring her items from their shelves to refund if it weren't for her telling me to do so? Anyways, I'm kinda done here. When I first moved to this area, this was my go-to Target, but seeing these kinds of employees working behind the counter, combined with my husband having explosive diarrhea and vomiting because of their negligence.... well, I'm not going to waste my time. read more

Wow, I was in the area for a car repair so I walked to this Target. Is it odd to be impressed by a Target store? Perhaps, I don't go to Target a lot but this is the nicest Target I have seen in my life. It was very clean and well organized which gives you the feeling of walking into a Macy's store. They even have a Starbuck inside and a little balcony area next to the escalator that you can sit and enjoy your cup of coffee. You would park you car in the parking structure and take the escalator or elevator up to the second floor into the target. I was browsing through all the sections and came to a conclusion that they carry a large inventory of different items and brands at prices that could probably beat Walmart. They did have a lot of items that the Walmart and CVS stores close to my house don't. However, I was looking for a particular car oil that Walmart has and they don't. That wasn't a big deal since they made it up for having other great items. This Target is big but lacked customer, there were barely a few people including myself. That was fine with me since I hate people :) Well, maybe only when they take up all the parking spaces and I have to walk 10 minutes in the rain to get into the store. I do hope Target business will pick up though because I have always liked them. read more

Death of Brand Alliances! No more designers partnered with makeup, clothes and outdoor furnishing at this new location. Is it the future, don't know?! It is all about Target and their own brands at this new location, Merona and the likes. I found no signs of my favorite designers of the week doing Target priced knockoffpieces of their lines. I know I will miss it, but sometimes the stuff was higher priced and hung around, a little too long, esp. the makeup. Yet, it was kind of fast paced, techno warp speed, in today... gone manana. Maybe that is so old school? So 20th Century? Oddly enough... very little seasonal signage... Another cost savings? No more colorful banners or areas announcing its Halloween, Fall, or whatever. Maybe these things were not quite unpacked yet, but it is so fun to get into the spirit of the holidays whatever they might be, even though it can make these holidays seem trite with all the commercialism. The footprint of the store seems odd.. You enter, women's clothing to the left, Starbucks to the right, dollar stuff in front by the bay of cash registers. Call me futuristic, but I think some of these departments and cash register bays might be moved to make more $$$ for them with product. This store is huge, and I was surprised that the electronics were so far back, as I thought this is how Target makes their cash flow. I didn't even make it back there, as the store's footprint is much larger than Duarte's location. But like the other Targets, not all cash registers were open, even though there were many, and lines were commonplace. I hope that changes... or why make so many unused checkout stops? I really LOVE the picture window next to the Starbucks. It has a pastoral glimmer into the Old Azusa... clear blue sky, railroad track, packing sheds, the historical museum and Mt. Vernon on the hills in Glendora if you look past the few houses on the anthill known as the Rosedale development. You are on the second story! I think this is the only place with an escalator in Azusa! Just wonderful happy shiny bright view! I want to go again just for the view into the world gone by, and to just slow down... I did buy a pretzel at the snack bar, and it was $2.00, and there is a decent special with a drink, too. Love the scare you out of this world calorie chart that you can make even better healthy choices. I think their microwave oven is a bit over juiced, but it doesn't cook the pretzel all the way or will make it way too chewy if you don't eat it quickly. There is a supermarket here, and it is full of the Target brand Archer Farms, (I think?). And lots of processed food, so be careful. I liked all the grand opening specials, as there are quite a handful which are nice and attractive. Sometimes those grand opening specials are so like not really special at all. I must note that I fear cleanliness will not be a strong part of this location. The tables in the restaurant were really dirty as well as the floor. I hope that will turn around, or I will have give this location 4 stars! I am into going to clean places, esp. when it comes to food. Good luck, and welcome to Azusa! So I was doing a bit of Christmas shopping and I found this Target on my phone. I can't believe how huge it was when I started getting close. It had a parking garage under the store and cart lifts to take your cart from the bottom to the top. Once inside there is your usual food stand and Starbucks near the cashiers and the entrance. I noticed that the store was very spacious and pretty clean for this time of the year. The service was pretty good nothing above and beyond but it was a few days from Christmas so the workers were being troopers. The lines were quick and they seemed fully prepared for the holidays so I appreciated the efficiency. Next time I go off-roading in Azusa canyon I will definitely stop here for any last minute items. read more

Went here last night after work to stock on the usuals. Laundry detergent fabric softener eyebrow pencils/mascara/concealer face wash tampons qtips cherry coke Miller Chill $4.08 for a 12 pack Moscato 1.5 liter for $9.99 water frozen Smart Ones ($1.88 here) mandarian orange fruit cups coffee sugar air wick air fresheners pine sol socks body soap I had noticed this the last time I went in, but chose to ignore it for the sake of wanting this to be my new Target location oh so bad. But anyhow, this location is poorly stocked. They are always out of my pencils, qtips and water. I also noticed that other items I'm not purchasing are out of stock. The shelves always have a lot of gaps. Yah, I had a lot of stuff. A lot of heavy stuff. Only two cashiers were open for like 20 people that needed to check out. My cashier was out of normal sized bags, so she started packing all my stuff in those jumbo sized bags that could accomodate a rug or something. I asked her if there were any regular sized bags left in the store. She said yah but she didn't have any. I was like I'll go get some from another register. She told me no it was okay. Ummmm it's not okay. I don't want my bag of tortillas sitting on top of the carress soap I just bought. Yuck. So, she preceded to pack these ginoromous bags heavily. One bag had the laundry detergent, pine sol, socks, coffee, sugar, and some of the frozen stuff. Whatever, so I paid and pulled my cart up to one of the empty registers and started to re-pack the bags myself in the normal sized bags. The rent-a-cop security guard came up to me and was like what are you doing? I was like uh packing my bags correctly. A manager came over and asked if there was a problem and I said nope just packing my bags the way they should be. Sure they left me alone and I know, I know, I looked like a total spazzed out craziiieeee person. But, the bags were ripping and I wanted my stuff packed appropriately. I probably won't come to this Target anymore mainly because they don't always have normal items that I need in stock. :( read more

I love this Target. There's many complaints here about horrible customer service, but I have never experienced that. They have always been helpful to me, and have always honored a price match, coupon, or misplaced signage. Their clearance and sale items is never really picked over and they are usually stocked well. I can always find what I need or something similar whether it's medicine, an outfit, or dinner. There is a Starbucks, a cafe, and a pharmacy. Also the patio and bathrooms are clean most of the time. Seasonal departments are always at the farthest corner of the store, but if you walk along the endcaps you'll always find a good deal. I do think they are a little understaffed, which is why this isn't a 5 star rating. I've had to wait in line longer than my trip to the store, but it's still worth it coming here. read more

This is not the first time that I have gone to this target location cafe and they have been closed after calling the store prior to arriving. This specific time was very upsetting in which I had to leave a review. I called the store to ask what time the cafe would open and they assured me that they would open at 11am. I arrived at such time and waited in line for the cafe to open. After standing there for 15 minutes the employee stated that she would be opening at 12pm. This is very upsetting due to the inconvenience that I had to go through because of there negligence in providing quality customer service. They have successfully lost my business. read more

What's nice about this Target is that it's new...but I guess you can call that a caveat too. Anyway, overall, it's really nice physically. I do tend to agree that it's a little under stocked most of the time. However, I'll attribute that to still not knowing exact customer base. One thing I do like is that it's very clean and the most convenient place to shop in Azusa. No more having to face dreaded Costco lines, nor driving out all the way to Glendora to do small grocery shopping. This thing is a godsend here. read more

Well, as previous customers noted, don't want to leave a bad review but can't help it. In general, the place isn't bad. It's big and typically not that crowded. The restrooms are indeed pretty dirty, as another reviewer stated. However, that's not even why I'm not happy with this store. My main complaint is customer service. For one, there are never any attendants on the floor if you need help. But the biggest issue is their lines. Regardless of how empty the store is, the lines there ALWAYS take forever to go through! I don't understand this, nonetheless it's a fact. I don't think I've ever been able to just come in and leave right away if I have to grab something quick and I've been coming to this store for like 3 years now. This issue is specific to this Target location. I go to another one by my office and regardless of how long their lines are they always move so fast. But this store?! Although the layout of this Target is very nice, the customer service is nonexistent on a good day and outrageously horrendous on a bad day. The workers literally walk away when you approach to ask a question. On one of my visits I had a question regarding a coupon. I had to interrupt two employees gabbing about boyfriends and other burning issues like plans to visit friends at the beach. The employee I asked looked puzzled, shrugged her shoulders and said that the coupon would NOT work at the register. Well, I took the coupon up to the register and low and behold it worked! Well it wasn't so easy to get to the register as there were 2 lanes open. The lines were piling up and one of the Target employees was pushing her way through the lines (without saying so much as excuse me, or sorry for the wait) the employee appeared to be a supervisor. She just stared blankly at the two growing lines. Eventually I heard some customers mention that Target was allowing 10 items or less (excluding alcohol) to check out at Starbucks. I mean really!!! Come on people there are like 10 registers or more available and you have customers clogging up the Starbucks line for check out. -_- The line that I was in was being managed by a cashier in training. The woman looked at the floor, mumbled and had no customer skills. The customer in front of me was having an issue paying with a gift card and even apologized for holding the line up, insisting that she pay another way to keep the line moving. The cashier in training said nothing and waved her supervisor over. The supervisor insisted it was really not an issue at all to hold up the line and continued to try the gift card. Eventually the customer gave up and paid with cash. Before the supervisor left the cashier in training she noticed a bunch (4) bags of merchandise stashed at the cashiers register. She asked the cashier, "What are these doing here?" the cashier replied "Oh a customer forgot those..." oh my goodness. A customer happened to forgot 4 bags jam packed with merchandise?! I understand forgetting one maybe two bags but four! Sheesh.... This Target location has two large elevators. On one of my recent visits I attempted to use one of the elevators. When the doors opened the elevator was jam packed with shopping carts. The Target employee who had stuffed the elevator full of carts was standing by the store entrance having a good time chatting with other employees... Very disappointing. I try to avoid this Target due to the exceedingly rude service. Also, the Starbucks/Food area including the chairs and tables is ALWAYS a complete and utter pig sty. Popcorn, straws, wrappers, cans all over the place. The irony is that the outdoor seating is usually very clean. The indoor seating area is always a mess. The employees ignore the mess even when no one is in line waiting to order food/drinks. There are so many people out of work. Really Target?! 1 star is really too kind. read more

I went to the bathroom and it was gross. There was a homeless woman inside the stall that just poop on the floor and it stank so bad I want it throw up. I notify an associate but even though that was so discussing, the bathroom was also so filthy. All the targets I have gone always are dirty and gross but this time it was up another level. Customers don't want to shop at a store that specially the restrooms are not kept clean. Have a designated person to go and check the bathrooms periodically and have them clean. I am surprise the health department has not been call out to check, because they sell food also next to the bathroom. read more

Sorry, but customer service is not that great here. The cashier didn't give me back my correct change and had the line backed up because some lady was looking up coupons on her phone for several minutes. When trying to call the manager, after I got home and discovered she didn't give me back my change, She didn't care about it and said just to go to customer service to pick up items that were left behind. I said I didn't leave any items behind and the cashier didn't give me back my change. She casually said, just come back tomorrow to talk to a supervisor. read more

They always have gift card promotions for the items I need/want. Laundry, cleaning and baby stuffs. The staffs are very helpful at the Pharmacy, you can ask them questions for the over the counter drugs and they are happy to assist. read more

What do you expect from Azusa location! What bothers me the most is going up that filthy escalator to enter the store doors you cant even touch the rails because they are sticky and full of dirt. I don't understand why no one is in charge of cleaning and washing down the sidewalk and entrance to store doors. The people that hang around the outside of store is also a problem makes you feel uncomfortable just going to this Target location. I go out of my way to go to a better location. read more

Its a nice Target. Better than WalMart, Kmart, and any other ghetto 'marts. But this one is NEW, and on the second story with the parking below it on the first story. You gotta take an escalator to go up to the store, and maybe you are wondering if you have to now walk all of you items down the escalator to the car. Well you don't because they have this revolutionary shopping cart escalator which carries your cart down at a notch slower than you going down the escalator and doesn't tip your cart either, so right when you get down you are waiting for your cart to greet you. Its a beautiful thing. This Target also has a small produce and food area in the back, and they also have hard alcohol, wine, and beer. Target, your one stop party shop. read more

Local, convenient, clean, friendly staff. Oh, did I say convenient? And never crowded. We moved to Azusa and were very happy to see this store going up about 2-3 blocks from our home. This is great for the community because Target puts a % of their earning back into the local economy. While their selection is not as broad as other, larger Targets, it serves our needs and saves us from having to go to the Duarte store, which is just an odd, odd experience for me. Pretty much you're typical Target store, except it has 1st floor parking and the actual store is on the second floor. There are stairs and elevators that transport you from the first floor to the second floor. Starbucks and Target Cafe are located inside. Came in to browse for some accessories and left with a cute Marimekko dress on clearance (yesssss)! There were only 3 lanes open which was so annoying since the lines were getting out of control. No self checkout either :( Not my primary Target, but if I'm in the area and need something I would stop by. Right across from the Goldline Azusa station! read more

This is the best Target - always uncrowded, brand spanking clean and new, HUGE, great selection, easy-to-find staff, Starbucks, free wifi, random deals and items that I haven't been able to find elsewhere (ex - ankle pants buy one get one 50% off, toddler shoes that were otherwise available only on target online). Even has those fun cart escalators too. This place will get so much busier once the Metrolink stop opens up... so until then, please don't shop here ;) read more

This isn't the biggest Target I've seen, but it is a nice and good-sized Target. The store itself is on the second story and the parking garage is underneath the store. There is always plenty of parking. There are escalators for you and your carts and an elevator. The story is nicely set up with aisles large enough to shop. It's pretty spread out so even if it's really crowded it's not too noticeable. If I need something, they usually have it. I don't remember things being out of stock all the time. They also have a Target food court with Target food, Pizza Hut, and Starbucks, with a nice seating area attached. read more

I dropped by on my lunch break to return an item, then had a few items I needed to purchase, so I'm looking at some new hair products I notice a massive sign in front on the L'oreal products they had at a endcap display, it reads: text TARGETHAIR to blah blah number and get $5 off $15 or more in hair products, GREAT, I have about $20 in products in my basket at it is. So I text, get a text back that has a link to a bar code, yay I love saving money. Walk around finish my shopping, get in line, lines are ridiculously long as always and they only have 2 registers open (of course), the girl at one register yells out "10 items or less they can help you at Guest Services", cool I think to myself, I'm out of here... Young Lady in front of me pays, I'm next, she scans all my items and I show the girl at the register my "target bar code" for the hair products. She scans it, "it doesn't work" huh, what do you mean, I just got this text, it's active til 3/29, she proceeds to look at the code and tells me that is only good for Suave and Tresemmé (because that's what the picture shows) I tell her that's a little misleading since it's right in front of their display. She decided to walk over there, who knows if she really walked all the way I didn't follow her, she comes back and tells me the sign is not there, I ask if she checked the end cap, not the aisle, she says it's only on the Suave and Tresemmé, I replied with "if that's the case your signs are misleading and you need to inform a manager because that's very misleading". She didn't like my reply and said something about giving me the $5 off anyways. I said Thank you and paid. It wasn't a big deal, but I hate false advertising and when stores don't do things right, in this case I was right, and their system isn't updated, well that's not the customers fault, she was having a day, not the most friendly CSR there that's for sure... Next time in going to pull the sign and take it with me when I pay, lol read more
