A wedding band to wear while traveling, nothing too flashy, and we needed a 7.5 ring size. Half sizes are hard to find. This store here in San Dimas had three to choose from. The associate who assisted us (Lisa S. ), turned out to be a store manager. She was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping my wife make a selection. Finally our search is over. Every time I stop in, it feels chaotic, with merchandise packed everywhere and very little breathing room to browse comfortably. The store almost always seems overcrowded, and the checkout lines tend to be long, which tests my patience when I was hoping for a quick look around. I usually love the treasure hunt aspect of TJ Maxx, but this location makes it harder to enjoy that part of the experience. If you're coming here as a plus size person, you are going to be out of luck. They literally have half a rack of plus size clothing so don't even bother. The largest shoe size I see in store size 10. Isles are super Duper tight. They did have a wide selection of press on nails though. their makeup selection is pretty big as well as beauty, personal care and fragrance items. The staff was really nice but the store was so dirty! Dust bunnies everywhere especially the fitting room. It should really be in the daily schedule to sweep them so we dont get the clothes dirty. I've visited this TJ Maxx location twice within the last week, and unfortunately, both experiences were frustrating and disappointing. After opening a TJX Rewards Platinum Mastercard, I received a 10% off coupon in the mail, which clearly stated it could be used on my first in-store purchase with the new card. It also listed the issue date and valid usage period. On my first visit, I attempted to use the coupon, but the cashier, Jeffery, didn't know how to apply it. He called over a manager--a short blonde woman--who seemed uninterested from the start. Despite the instructions being clear, she said she couldn't figure it out and instead gave me a "complimentary" discount because she was unable to apply the one I earned. On my next visit, I tried to use my actual coupon again since it had never been processed. The same manager told me bluntly, "I already helped you last time--you can't use that coupon." I explained that the system would show it as used if it truly had been applied, and I even clarified that I would be using my TJX card, just like the coupon required. I opened that card for a reason--to take advantage of the benefits offered, not "for fun." But the conversation went nowhere, and I was forced to let it go. What made both visits especially uncomfortable was the attitude we received from the start. My friend and I--both visibly Muslim women wearing hijabs--were treated with an unusually clipped, dismissive tone before any conversation even began. It felt like we weren't welcome there, and that's a deeply unsettling feeling to have in a store where you're simply trying to shop and use a promotion that was rightfully earned. TJ Maxx encourages people to open store credit cards at nearly every checkout, but when it comes time to actually honor the benefits, the staff doesn't know how to apply them--or worse, refuses to. Between the lack of professionalism and the discriminatory behavior we experienced, I won't be returning to this location anytime soon. read more

Came in to return an item which had 2 different tags cashier nor manager wanted to do the return for me because of a mistake THEY made of putting 2 tags and assuming I had put that extra tag. I can usually find some fun steals here. The key is to check back often because it seems that things change daily. It's hitting miss with clothes, kitchen and home. Good items are always fun. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love that they have security at the door, there is a bathroom, you do have to ask to use it. It is near the changing room. This store has so many wonderful employees, but what I witnessed today ruined this location for me. I observed one of the cashiers attempting to convince a woman to sign up for the TJ Maxx credit card at checkout. After a few seconds of allowing her to give her pitch, the shopper politely shook her head no. The cashier completely ignored this and continued on, trying to sell the card from a new angle. The shopper, once again, allowed the worker to speak for several seconds and then politely shook her head, nervously said no, and attempted to use her own card to buy her items. But AGAIN, this employee - possibly a manager - continued trying to convince her for several more seconds before finally giving up. "No" means "no." Someone needs to show this employee how to deliver a more enticing and customer-friendly sales strategy, while respecting others' choices - especially the choices of individuals who are too smart to sign up for a credit card with such a deadly interest rate. read more

This location is clean and organized. The makeup section is sometimes a miss. The clothing selection is also light specially if your not a small size. Since the holidays are near there was a much wider and richer collection of jewelry and trinkets. Parking could be a problem but with Covid 19 I have not had a problem this year. First time here and the customer service was so disappointing. I received a gift for Christmas that was actually broken upon opening. When I went to return, they told me "I passed the Christmas return and exchange deadline." I informed them I never was able to use the item due to it being broken with tag and all. It's unfortunate because I received the gift late due to illness and unfortunate circumstances. I'm finally able to go out and exchange and return gifts due to feeling better. I went to two other stores (not this company) and had no issues. I wish TJ maxx was more understanding with returning or exchanging items that haven't even been opened even with the receipt. The gift was expensive diamond ear rings. I don't recommend for future buyers to buy these at TJ maxx! The diamonds fell out of the metal holding just opening the box! read more

I prefer Homegood's over TJMaxx but this store is not far from home and I always find lots of goodies. Decent size store, sometimes it can get messy but I always see people never putting things back where they belong just because they are searching for something specific.
