It's so difficult to write this about a store that I fundamentally enjoyed shopping at since it opened, but in the last three months we have consistently seen a trend of longer wait times and poor service. There are now hundreds of everyday items behind cabinet doors, requiring an associate to be summoned using a button. This process could take as little as two minutes or as long as 20 minutes (as was the case tonight). The self-service checkout lanes are sporadically available. This evening, there were 18 people in line in front of us waiting to check out with one active in person cashier, and one person attending the returns section. Only then did the self-service checkout registers get opened. There were only two other associates on the floor along with two loss protection associates. It could be a case of new management or workers calling out sick or other extenuating circumstances; however the service has not been what it was a few months ago. Perhaps reevaluating deployment expectations with the additional cabinets now installed for loss protection and reevaluating how many associates need to be on during different day parts would get the service level back to the once exceptional standard experience. We had been hopeful - because it is so convenient a location - that the experience would improve after the holidays. After this visit tonight, however, it makes more sense to begin shopping at a different location further away that doesn't seem to have these difficulties. read more

Eff shopping here if you even want to call it that. Just waited 15 minutes beeping that thing to buy a pair of $15 headphone behind glass. No one came over so I went and got help. The staff casually strolled down to where I was making stops along the way. I guess we shop on Target staff's time here. Then she's like you have to ring up now even though I wasn't done shopping. Waited again for staff to bring headphones to front for purchase- cause a $14 pair headphone is too untrustworthy to give to a shopper (ridiculous) . I then to had staff come check me out at a self check out (even though self check was all that open) because you can't buy headphone in your own. No one works here- you can't shop- you have to wait for employees to open shelves. They're lazy and there's too many barriers for a shipping process. Good riddance! read more

Overall Experience and Atmosphere The overall experience was very mixed and highly dependent on the section of the store. The initial impression was extremely negative due to the exterior maintenance issues, specifically the broken escalators/cart escalators (which have reportedly been out of service for weeks) and the visible trash in the ground-level parking area. The atmosphere shifted from frustration upon arrival to satisfaction while shopping, and finally back to frustration at checkout. The main shopping floor, however, was pleasant and well-maintained. 2. Staff and Customer Service While the floor staff seemed to be keeping the shelves perfectly stocked, the checkout service was unacceptable. Approximately 15 to 16 standard registers were closed and completely unstaffed. The only available option was the four self-checkout stations. This forced me to scan and bag a full cart of groceries myself, which feels like doing the store's labor without receiving any corresponding discount or benefit. While the self-checkout system itself worked, having it as the only option for all customers is a major service failing. 3. Cleanliness and Organization Inside the store, organization and stocking were outstanding (see below). However, the cleanliness of the ground-level parking and entrance area was poor. There was visible trash, possibly from previous days or from external individuals, accumulated around the broken escalator area, which detracts significantly from the shopping experience before even entering the store. 4. Inventory and Selection This was the clear highlight of the visit. The store was fully stocked in every department I visited. I was able to find every item on my list, and the displays were tidy, organized, and inviting, leading me to find several additional items I wasn't initially planning to purchase. The team responsible for stocking and merchandising deserves high praise. Conclusion / Final Comments Overall, the experience earns a 3/5 rating because the core elements of the store (inventory, stock, in-store cleanliness) are excellent, but they are critically undermined by operational failures. The most severe issue is the prolonged malfunction of both the up and down escalators (and cart escalators). My wife reports these have been broken for weeks, creating a severe and unfair accessibility problem. Since the store is entirely on the second floor, having the cart escalators broken means customers with full carts cannot use the stairs and are forced to use the elevator, which is a significant inconvenience when attempting to exit the store efficiently. Combining the broken escalators with the non-existent manned checkout service creates significant barriers to accessing and leaving the store efficiently. It was opened later and the card was already scratched and used. Nice, big, well organized Target store. It's at the end of Azusa Ave. right across the street from a metro stop, which seems to have caused the store to be surrounded and frequented by some sketchy characters. Parking is super easy, with the store being built immediately above the covered parking. They have a fun escalator for shopping carts, but it seems to be broken or off more often than not. In general, it's a pretty standard Target - nothing special but also nothing too bad either for a Target spree. read more

Horrible customer service. Employees lack knowledge and care of customer issues. Their system went down for pick up orders and when you called the number a pre recorded message informed you of the issue. But once their system came back up the message was not changed. When I checked my order it showed processing and continued to show processing for several hours. I tried calling multiple time the phone would sometimes ring over ten times with no answer, other time it would hang up after 2 rings. Obviously the person at guest services was disconnecting the call. I went into the store and the girl behind the desk had absolutely no helpful info and didn't try to help in any kind of way. When I asked if she can check if the employees started pulling the items in my order I kept getting bs answers and was told to call their corporate office. I simply wanted to know if I should wait for the order or cancel it and do the shopping myself. Still she was absolutely clueless and offered no help. I canceled my order and did the shopping myself. They have already put a hold on $237 and the cancellation did not take that hold off and I'm unable to dispute it through my bank until the payment gets processed. When asked to talk the manager she was not willing to contact anyone. Should I have stood in the middle of the store and started screaming to get anyone with a brain cell to help? I will be calling their corporate office and will report them to the better business bureau. Absolutely a horrible store and will never shop at target again. I thought Walmart was the worst but they are no different. Stay away from from this store if you value your money and sanity. Ignorance must be a requirement to work at target. Nothing wrong with the staff/customer service that I've experienced. The main purpose and rating of my post is the safety issue. This Target used to be safe and normal, not have to second guess it at all. That's changed. Now homeless people lined up against the walls is the norm, one of them even motioned toward me like he was gonna attack me, while I was walking by. These people always look strung out, they're sleeping/passed out on the floor or concrete wall bench seats. One time while walking back to my car, 15 ft in front of me was this guy with an ankle monitor on his right leg. Another time while going up the escalator to go in, these 3 guys were rushing out of the store and towards me and they ran down the escalator (the one going up that I was on). Another person in the store as well, I was coming out of an aisle, reached the end cap to go into the next aisle and at the same time this other guy came around the end cap too while stuffing something under his jacket. He did that at the exact time figuring out that I was there, so he thought nobody was seeing him do it. There's more but I'll leave it here. My point is, this Target is entirely unsafe to attend, and Target is doing nothing about it, they're letting it happen. Ladies; do not go here alone, especially at night, have a friend, use the buddy system, whatever, just be mindful of your surroundings. Target; do better. I didn't know how it worked at first, but a drive up associate was down there named Oscar, and helped he out, he was very patient and explained everything to me. Wow, lots of rage in the other reviews for this place. We stopped in to get me a notebook so I could start "anxiety journaling" (I've been told it can help!) and as is the case in any Target, left with more than we came for. Got my notebook, pencils, erasers, etc, as well as microwave meals for dinner and some bomb cookie dough frozen yogurt popsicles. The food section in this Target is exceptional. The clothing area looked pretty picked through, but I wasn't looking for new threads. Use self-checkout to avoid employees, and be on your merry way. Pending another need, I'll be back! read more

I think the store itself is fine overall. But, line can be long because there are only 4 self-checkouts and usually 1 register opened. This Target also has HUGE issues with incorrect pricing. Not sure if anything has been corrected. What really, really needs work is the outside of the store around the escalators. The ground is always dirty and grimy because people spill drinks and it's not cleaned on a daily basis, so there are disgusting old stains everywhere. The parking lot is just as dirty with stains and litters. It's so simple to have janitorial staff clean and powerwash the outside areas regularly to keep them presentable. Sometimes it's amazing how filthy they are considering Target values consumer experience. I think this store needs new management. read more
