Where to begin? Sadly this store is a mess. Employees are anywhere from nice & helpful, to zombie like. Today the women's restroom is unusable (all 6 stalls)...weird white powder all over the floor, toilets backed up, and human feces on the floor! And no employees trying to clean it, or close it. More and more items are being locked up behind glass, however many cabinets do not have a "call" button, and there are no employees around. So you have to find someone in the store, to unlock things like men's underwear. Self checkout was down for months, now it's open usually. Way more items out of stock here, than other Targets in the area. The store has been impacted by the homeless population, and they are doing their best to deal with it. But over the years, the problems just keep getting worse. I hope management can get things under control. read more

This target is consistently understaffed. 9/10 times the self checkout is closed and they refuse to have more than two checkouts open at a time. I especially do not recommend coming here if you need something from a locked case. On more than one occasion I have sat and waited for over 20 minutes for something as simple as face wash. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now. I haven't had any problems so far. They usually are fully stocked with merchandise. Service has always been friendly. The Starbucks that's located inside has always made my drinks correctly. I do have to agree with other reviews regarding the need to have more cash registers open especially during peak times. Took these pictures at 8:15 pm on Monday April 19th. I guess this target doesn't care about the health and sanitation in the restroom. I had to get toilet covers from a different stall (couldn't use that stall because it was so dirty) then I used the restroom and there was zero toilet paper so I had to use the extra toilet seat covers I brought in just to wipe. Where is management? As I hear someone else in the restroom saying this is the most disgusting restroom they've ever been in and I agree. This location needs to get it together! Visit after visit, it's always something. I merely go out of convenience. The amount of checkers is always off to often times none! My visit lastnight had every guest working for themselves. Self checkout was the ONLY option. Out of all those registers... None open. Between my husband and I our order was over $150 and I don't think at the end of the day, a business should force you to have to ring yourself up. I realize that can sound very (first world problem) but it's just not cool. When asked, an employee told me (I guess the 1 lone checker) was on a break. Do not order pick up from this target!!!!!! They are terrible! They say your order will be ready in 2 hours and they are never ready on time! Some times taking three or four hours!!!!! First i want to start off with Ricardo an online order associate was the one to help and i appreciate it. For this target i would say it is not worth coming here for basic necessities such as deodorant or body wash. You'll be waiting for someone to come open a lockup for about 20 minutes. Not only that but their self checkouts are usually closed causing an extra wait time and for the store to look completely unorganized. The store is dirty and has a bad smell in the bathrooms. Their Asset protection i feel doesnt do their job either considering theres alot of suspicious people that clearly are walking out with items which explains why everything is locked up. Take a little bit of a further drive to eastland center where its way better. read more

I honestly don't like to use Yelp as a "ranting device", but here I am, giving this Target a less than favorable review. Truth be told, I haven't had any problem with this location for the many years I've been using this store. This WAS, in fact, my preferred store. To be fair, let me point out why I like this store: TONS OF PARKING (most likely top reason), usually friendly staff, well stocked shopping carts, Target Red Card and Cartwheel programs... I dunno. It's just what Target brand stands for. It's a decent store. So it makes it a little sadder for me to have my first negative experience with the staff. Please, read on. I usually don't shop at Target at very late hours, so I don't know the later hours for the store by heart. I do know that this store closes at 11 pm daily... or so I thought! Haha. After this particular unfortunate incident, I now had learned they close at 10 pm instead of 11 pm on Sundays... albeit the hard way. So in any case, Sunday night, I finished a late shift from work, had dinner, and realized I don't have enough toilet paper at home! Better stock up before it's too late! I headed over to my fave Target store. I entered the entrance at 10:02 pm. I happened to know the time because I was using my Shopkicks app, so I glanced at my phone and the time. That's when I realized something's different. The store was awfully empty. I usually see more people walking around even at this hour. And that's when one of the employees rushed to the entrance, and scolded me with a less than friendly tone: "No. Uh uh. It's past 10 pm. No. We are closed. No. You gotta go." Keep in mind, at this point, I had no idea what I did and I didn't even know they were closed at 10 pm. But this girl probably went on for another 10 seconds with the above rude nonsense. "Nope. We're closed. You can't come in anymore. Sorry. Uh uh..." Notice, that's her first sorry, in the way she "greeted" me, after a long string of curt remarks. I must've looked really confused, as I should be, and I really just wanted to ask her what's going on. To cut this shorter, she told me the store's closed, I told her I thought they closed at 11 pm, and she went, "Nope!" I asked her "since when do you guys close at 10 pm?", very courteously too, I want to emphasize. She then replied to me "Always!" It then took another 10 seconds or so for her to realize and to tell me the closing hours for Sunday is different from Monday to Saturday. Now, couldn't you have just started with that? C'mon, lady. If I was incorrect about your Sunday operating hours, just let me know nicely, and I would gladly return on another day. A polite "sorry, we're closed!" and a smile go a long, long way, and I wish this employee could try that. (She could have had a bad day, who knows? But I know for sure she made mine a little worse, though.) I may be at fault for entering the store at 10:02 pm, but all in all, I was honestly just trying to be a loyal, frequent patron of Target. You're my store of choice. So why yell at me for it? (Alternatively also, you could just try locking up the entrance on time? Instead of blasting at me when I walked through a set of unlocked front doors? Just a suggestion.) Nevertheless, this had happened, and now I may consider splitting my business with some other stores or at least other Target locations just by principle. Sigh. Target in Azusa, I loved you. I'm avoiding going into stores because of Covid and only do order pickup/delivery. This store regularly takes 30+ minutes to bring out drive-up orders. I've been sitting in my car for over a half an hour for my order. I tried calling but they won't pick up. They finally came down and had my order in the cart (it was a vacuum so I could easily tell it was mine) and the guy tried to go back inside with it. I had to get out of my car and call after him to get my order. WTF? Edited to add (because I got a snarky note from Dave W calling me a "Karen" and accusing me of thinking that I am the most important person in the world, and for not putting the correct description of my car in the app): The description of my car was in there. Color, make and model. This isn't the first or 5th time this has happened at this particular Target, and other Targets in the area don't have this issue. Expecting to get my order in a timely manner and not wanting to get out of my car during a pandemic doesn't make me a "Karen". I do curbside pickup not only for my protection, but for the safety of the Target employees as well, so they have one less person to be exposed to. read more

I love Target, but this location is one of the worst shopping experiences you will have. Everything is always a mess, particularly bad in the shoe department. Always trash on the floor too. They also have major stock issues. One time there was no water for sale. NO water! They also seem to always do their stocking during store hours, which is very frustrating because almost every aisle is blocked by a crate or shopping carts. Very disappointed. read more

Oh yay! Why not? Instead if the 1 box of 74 for $24.99. If you do the math: I'm saving about $3. So here I am heading to checkout all happy I got a deal along with buying a bunch of other things I don't need at all regular price, way more expensive then if I just used my Amazon prime account! But hey!!! I'm saving a whopping $3 bucks, why the heck not? So I get up and Amanda checks me out. I asked, where is my $5 gift card. She replies, you have no items that qualifies. I replied no no I do, these 3 pampers should get me a $5 gift card. She said ok, let her call back to have someone check. While stating to me "there is no way these can get you a $5 gift card, it's the big boxes" in the nasty rude tone in front of many other customers. Then the call back said nope! Just the deal of buy $100 get 20. So she replied nope! So I said want to come back with me? She said she can't (which I get) so I send my husband back to show the guy/girl back there. Here is where the dishonesty happens... they ripped the red tag off because they forgot to take it off! This has got to be last weeks sale that never got taken off. So my husband heard one employee whispering it to another. The new employee in the back who saw, said she'll go up and override the error. When she came out, "Amanda's" made a snarky under her breathe comment then said to that employee, "well did you actually see the tag with your eyes?" That employee said no but I think someone just took it off. She then turns to me and said " well too bad, we can't honor it!" Wthhhhhh??? I just waited 20mins for 3dollars I don't even need?!!!!!!!! Restrooms are gross, walking up to the escalator it smells like garbage and pee. Not sure if it's because it's in Azusa or because it's next to the train but there was a guy outside when I left getting lit! I also didn't feel safe when exiting or walking through the parking lot. The store itself was a mess- trash and weird smells and it seems smaller one than other Target too. Also they have the escalator for the carts but if you don't click it in correctly the cart will tip and spill your bags- I watched it happen to someone and tried not to laugh! read more

This target is the absolute worst, I walked into target wanting to browse. I was browsing in the electronic department and saw something I wanted however it was locked up, I looked around for an employee the store looked as if it was empty, I waited patiently, then got frustrated and started walking around looking for an employee, I finally found one and I asked for help they said they would send someone. I went back to the electronics department and waited and waited and waited. It was annoying at this point, I then started to look for another employee took forever as always and they said the same thing, I'll send someone. They never did no one came, and I waited for so long I decided to call customer service that is inside the store, customer service didn't even answer and I called multiple times. Then I decided to look for another worker, one passed by and I asked if they could send someone over and she said no need I have the key, I finally got my item and she walked it over to customer service and as to no surprise no one was there and she said someone will be with you as soon as possible, as she's walking away I see someone approaching the counter and they finally help me. Don't come to this target unless you want to wait half an hour to an hour for items that are locked up!! Also the 20 percent off stickers that go on books don't work, they scan the book and it rings up full price make sure you let the cashier know!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

There were two employees at this branch of Target that stood out and should be commended. The security guard at the front door was pleasant. She made sure to inform each arriving guest that the 8 o' clock hour was reserved for high risk customers and politely suggested that we could either line up or come back closer to 9:00 AM. When I returned she directed me to the right side of the front door to form a line. This helped all the other arriving customers to follow. The stock clerk in the household supplies area was also helpful. Although the vast majority of antibacterial wipes and sprays were sold out, she pointed out other cleaning brands (i.e. not Clorox, Lysol, or Up & Up) that most customers overlooked. I ended up finding a bottle of kitchen spray that also said it could effectively combat 99.9% of bacteria. Employees like her that go above and beyond during these times are truly great hires. I believe her name was Selenia (something like Selena but even cooler). Props to the staff at Target Azusa! read more

This has to be the dirtiest target around. The carts are so disgusting and the grimy escalators only work half the time. Additionally the elevators stink like pee & the stairs are unsightly. The other issue is everything is locked up and it takes quite awhile to get assistance. Not sure why, its not like anyone is ever on registers. This store just keeps declining. They are always out of stock of items in every department or have "limited quantities" so you can't even utilize Drive Up. Drive Up is preferred here because so many items are now behind lock and key. Who has time to be waiting for cabinets to be opened on every aisle? I always end up leaving with many 2 things of the long list I needed. The last time I did Drive Up, I was charged for an item and never received it, and was hassled about it as if I was the one mistaking. And don't even get me started on how dirty the location is (especially the bathroom) because of the homeless people that use this location and I'm assuming steal from. The store isn't as stocked as other Targets in the area. Aside from the obvious extreme homeless population in the area the store itself isn't very appealing from the outside. The stairs need to be power washed ASAP. I'll be more than happy to do it myself if Target covers my Target bill for an entire month. It would also be nice to have security circulating the parking lot. This is the closest Target to me but I rather drive to San Dimas or West Co. This place is shit. Called them to ask on inventory on a few products. Solid hour and fifteen minutes of no one answering the phone, literally. Before that hour and fifteen minutes, one guy that answered (dude sounded like he was half asleep) couldn't care less. Good luck finding someone at electronics. There's never anyone there, literally, and no bell to ring so staff knows guests are there. I guess the "service" in customer service doesn't exist anymore. Patio area and parking lot are dirty as hell. Trash and masks all over the place. Also, almost every time I go, there are some kids having their lovely car meet at the parking lot. You know, revving engines, taking up multiple spots, the whole works. This happens at day time. I actually believe management encourages this shit. read more

We placed an online order for a dress to be brought out to our car. Once at the store we decided to go in to buy some more things. We saw a young man with the dress processing other orders. When asked if we could pick it up there instead, he said we needed to wait until notified the item was ready for pick-up. The dress was there right in front of us. He couldn't simply process it and hand it to us? Instead we had to sit in the car for about half an hour to receive the message that it was ready for pickup and then waited another 10 minutes to have it bought out. read more

I was just at Target to get my daughter some pain reliever as she was feeling really awful and needed some pain reliever for cramps and pain. It appears they have every pain reliever, including cream for leg cramps locked up. I went to the pharmacy and asked if there is someone who can unlock the doors. He said I needed to find an employee. So I walk around for a bit to find someone and asked if he could unlock it, and he said he couldn't but he would call for someone. I waited for about 10 minutes and noone came. So,I walked around again to find some help. Then I saw an employee and asked if she could unlock. She said, she couldn't but would call for someone. I said, "they are already did that, and I've been waiting." Finally a girl showed up. I told her what I needed. She said, oh, that particular section had a broken lock, so she could not get into it. She tried to reach through another one, but couldn't and basically said, "oh well, sorry!" So, I told her to give me whatever she could reach. It was ridiculous. So, then, I headed to electronics, because I needed a charger. Oh great!! Everything is locked up. Again, I walk around looking for an employee. I finally saw one and she was talking to another customer. I was waiting for my turn. She told the other customer, " I can ring you up here now, if it's more convenient." So, she pulled their cart for them and walked out of the aisle, when clearly, I was waiting for her to unlock the stupid door! I just put my basket with everything in it and left the store. Terrible service!! If they are going to lock everything up, then they need to have an employee close by. I'll never go to that Azusa Target again! read more

All targets are getting just as bad; there is barely any workers on site. To get customer service it's like pulling teeth. Waited for roughly 15 minutes to get an item that was locked up. Asked two different workers who were wondering by for help; they replied that it is not their area and they have to call for someone else. I find it ridiculous that they have so many checkout lanes but the lanes are never open and they want you to check out your own items at the self checkout. Guess Target would rather have people shop online at Amazon instead of keeping a presence of professionalism on assisting customers. read more

I'm giving this target a star because the young lady that helped me was nice and polite. She tried her best to be efficient In the circumstances she was in. Only two registers were open and they both had over 15 customers and no back up in sight. The snack shop was closed and the Starbucks was too. Even the photo center was empty. It was so strange no one on site to make this Target function. I got there maybe around 7:30 left almost at 8:00. I only made a payment and purchased one item. It even rang up with the wrong price.
