The staff has always been very helpful there and I can always find the items that I need using the Target app. (their inventory is very accurate) I usually go to Target to do my gig work and shop for other people but at the same time I will always go down the aisles and if there is something cool that catches my eye or something on clearance that I normally wouldn't buy, I'll pick it up. overall, I highly recommend this location because it is easy to get in and out + the layout of the store is easy to figure out and remember! The manager - Adrian - made it seem as if I were a lost cause because a different target location failed to print off a legible receipt for a purchase I'd made. He acted exasperated because I had the gall to insist they find a solution to a problem they'd created, and told me I'd have to "cut my losses" (even though I'm fairly certain Target has a legal responsibility to provide proof of purchase?) Easy for him to say when it's not his money that's being lost. There was an employee, however, by the name of Kat who went out of their way to try and help in a patient and caring manner. I have loved Target since the '70s. NO MORE. Today i had 3 pairs of pants & 2 tops to buy. Self check looked good as i was exhausted and only 1 staffed line was open, with 3 or 4 people with overflowing carts in their line. So i headed to self checkout. But NO!!! Can't pay with cash in self check lane. So i grabbed my stuff and went to Customer NON-SERVICE. The brat there, when she could tear herself away from swilling her booze, said "That's right, use plastic or go stand in line." And she went back to guzzling her vodka. Contrary to what most say, this Target does the job. My gripes/feedback: Add more self checkouts that are operable at all hours and during busy hours open up more regular checkouts (one doesn't cut it!). Also, while the geofencing of the shopping carts is necessary due to the homeless situation it needs to be relaxed a bit so carts can get to the far parts of the parking lot (Superchargers included). read more

I was overcharged at least a few times during the same transaction. I eventually gave up and paid for the rest. Who knows what I missed. Two items rung up more and another twice. I was told "that's how it's ringing up." Cashier removed the double charge and didn't care. I had to ask what to do. Told I had to go to Customer Service about the others. Same thing happened. I explained the issue - again. One price was confirmed via the flyer, so they changed the price. The other was a markdown and would have required me to get the sign to prove wrong. A white lady cashier with salt and pepper hair, I was behind snapped at me asking if I needed help, obviously not caring to help me and then laughed at me for stuttering. A bit of a run down Target that has not received the renovations going on at other stores. A bit dirty on the floors, arrangement and presentation. Several people did come up and ask me if they could help, but they had no idea of the item or where it was (training). I really prefer another Target, but I will not compare as each place stands on it's own merit. I did have a bit of difficulty in navigation the stock, but in the end, stumbled across what I was searching. Long story short, it has potential, especially if they do a renovation in the corporate wars which is in full swing. The people were nice, not many folks on the checkouts, with some lines. This particular Target has the absolute Worst Customer Service. On more than one occasion I was ignored by staff when asking for specific items, the cashiers pack chemicals with food instead of separate bags, which is unacceptable anywhere. The Manager Tracy sent an email and when I responded she never contacted me, just went through the motions ( for corporate purposes, I assume.) Rare to see any employee's especially at the registers, sure they want your money but don't want to work for it...you only have 2 choices wait in long lines at the register when they finally get around to paging someone or wait in a long line at the self checkout. They want your money and they want you to work for free, completely unacceptable. Corporate greed at its finest. This Target is an easy find. Right off the 290 and 71 freeway with plenty of parking. Currently holiday candy is currently 50% off and other holiday items (including decor, clothing, etc) is 70% off. My husband and I stopped by this Target last night (holiday hours still remain in effect) around 9:45 pm. Needing to pick up a few travel essentials during our current Austin vacation. I ended up picking up other items that I wasn't initially planning on getting (doesn't that always seem to enjoy the case at Target or Costco?). Layout is similar to other Target store locations. There is a Starbucks Coffee inside, near the ladies clothing. Aisles were neat and clean upon this visit. Clearance holiday items are found towards the back of the store near the clothing section. But you will also find clothing holiday clearance in the clothing areas. Other random clearance is through out the store. After we were done with our shipping we decided to check out at the self check out. The employee surpervising this area seemed kind of annoyed and upset but we didn't need any assistance so we were fine. Overall a nice Target. Same as other locations and convenient location for us. Would shop here again if I need anything else during the rest of our trip. read more

So disappointed with this location. I use to live right behind this target for years and always went in and had great costumer service. Today I wanted to call ahead of time to see if they had an item in store before I made my way over there (I no longer live by this location but it was on my way out of work) I called several times trough the day an NO ONE picked up any of my calls. Why would you have a store phone number if you won't answer? Last time I actually went to the store was about 2 months ago, the people at the cashier were so rude and seemed so mad. I am not one to bother anyone or be rude to someone who's working so I approached my cashier with a nice greeting and they completely ignored me. I shop this store often due to its proximity to my home. My review reflects my experience over a few years - even before Covid. Overall, it's not the nicest of Targets given it's condition, cleanliness and under trained staff. I've seen security fight to the ground with shoplifters out front and I've been approached by aggressive panhandlers in the parking lot. I question myself every time I go inside. Per my visit today, the self check out "helpers" were snarky, rude, talked back and made unnecessary comments. Then the supervisor will bully you to get into a cashier lane. Maybe there's a reason I don't want to interact with a cashier given the surge in Covid. Do I know their vaccinated status? No, I don't. Hopefully a general manager reads these reviews as this Target needs a serious overhaul in more ways than one! read more

Store pickup was the fastest and easiest of any store or restaurant I've experienced during COVID-19. I always feel safe shopping inside. Would be even better if we could bring a dog here, too! I like that Target pays a good wage to their employees and that the employees treat you with respect, no matter how you look. Target is pretty cool in general I guess. You have lots of basic stuff as well as Basic Stuff. You're furniture is crazy over priced but you do have that bomb dollar section. This particular Target only ever seems to have extra smalls and extra larges in any of the clothes I want to buy. But you do have that giant tub of cheese balls for only $5 which is the love of my life. So as you see this is a yin yang situation. Very accessible Target near the main highway 290 with pretty good customer service. The store layout is pretty much the same as much other Targets so if you've been to one, you basically know where you are going. The first thing you'll see is the aisle with all their bargain merchandise that go for $1, $2, $3, up to like $5. There are plenty of registers and self-checkout too. I just moved around the corner, and have visited this Target more times than I can now count. I assumed the urine smell was a new thing, but I see people have been complaining about it here for years! QUIT SMELLING LIKE PEE! Seriously? What self respecting store allows people to complain about pee smells for YEARS without fixing it. My last two purchases here were damaged. I bought a lampshade that turns out to have been crushed, and all the cracks on the inside became visible only when I put it on a lamp and turned it on. I bought a bed skirt this morning, brought it home and took it out of the package, and it was both discolored (from sun I assume?) and seriously food stained. WTF Target? I LOVE YOU! Why are you making this so difficult? If you refuse to stop smelling like urine, than I am vowing right here and now to make the drive a few miles to avoid seeing this sad excuse for a Target ever again. I feel like I am always here, probably because I am. I basically live at this Target and the HEB on Congress and Oltorf. With that being said, everyone else in South Austin lives here, too. If you go here at odd hours, it's almost like a regular Target. If you go here on weekends or around holidays, it is a total clusterfuck. People driving the wrong way down the lanes in the parking lot, people who have no clue how to form a line to get out of the parking lot, people taking their sweet ass time to walk out of the way of your car as you slowly meander up or down the lanes, trying to find a spot - and we haven't even entered the store yet. You thought it was bad outside? You're in for a treat once you enter the store. Total chaos. I don't even know how the workers do it. The amount of patience it must take to not scream at asshole customers who destroy this place must be astronomical. The rating is for the other people who shop here, not exactly the store itself. A Target is a Target and you basically know what you are going to get, but the customer base can totally change that all the way around. The Target itself is fine - it's on the smaller side and their selection is not as large, but that's okay. If I wanted the Super Target selection, I would have driven to one. As it is, I'll still sometimes drive out of my way to go to a different Target just so I can avoid the zoo that is this Target's prime customer base. That and the fact that the checkout lines here are pretty much always awful. Hardly anybody in the store? Only have three items? Still have to wait 15 minutes to check out. You're supposed to be reviewing the actual establishment - they can't help who shops there! And what does it matter anyway?! Sure, people of different races or a lower class shop here, THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT A "TARGHETTO". To say so just makes you sound like a snob (and hey maybe even racist). The fact is that this Target is perfectly fine, just your average store. It's clean, easy to navigate, always stocked, and the people who work here have always been helpful if I needed assistance finding something. I come here a lot and have never had a bad experience. Sure, okay, it's not the nicest Target in town, but since the alternative is the horrible Walmart Supercenter down the street, I can't complain about this Target much. I never have trouble finding what I need, it's relatively organized, and since it is a Target, I still have to make a list of exactly what I need before I walk in there and not buy anything else unless it's an absolutely great deal (I don't regret the $20 T-shirt cotton sheet set, especially since my other sheets decided to wear out right after I'd bought it). I don't need to be wined and dined, I don't need directions, if I can't find something, I'll look for it on my own, if I decide against something, I put it back myself instead of leaving it with the cashier. HOWEVER, when I'm struggling to carry a 50 pound box in a pencil skirt and wedges, I would appreciate if one of the 5 MALE associates I walk by would offer some help. When I get to the check out, it would have been nice if the guy with the cockroach antenna mustache was a bit more assertive when seeking a carryout for me. He called over a girl named Leah from a couple (empty and unused) checkstands over, engrossed in conversation with another employee. She puts up a finger and tells him to wait. in a whisper: "Leah....hey..." points at me. "I need a carry out" Leah: "Hold on." After a while, it's obvious the customer is wrong and she doesn't need to stop her conversation, so I tell him I'll be fine, STRUGGLE AGAIN to grab a basket, and handle it from there. Leah and the other girl had their hands on their hips and looked really enthusiastic to be at work. I'm really glad I didn't interrupt her conversation, I wouldn't want to have burdened her by asking her to do her job. I shop at Target because I absolutely hate Wal-Mart, their ethics, their customer service, everything.
