I had a very disappointing experience with a manager on duty named Priscilla. When I spoke with Priscilla, who claimed to be a manager, she was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. She told me she couldn't hold the piece in a sarcastic tone, and when I asked for her district manager's name and she responded by saying, "You can Google it." This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your brand. I ask that this situation be addressed, and that Priscilla receive additional training on professionalism and client service. A manager should represent the company with respect and class, not sarcasm and disregard. * Update: After going in today and speaking with Mabel and Sara--who had helped me previously--I received the level of customer service that should always be expected. What a miserable and embarrassing experience at TJ Maxx in Sunset Valley, Austin…read more I tried to return defective luggage within their 30-day return period, only to be told that it had to be in "sellable condition." How exactly am I supposed to discover a defect without using the luggage? Apparently, their idea of a return policy is that you buy something, never use it, and bring it back in perfect condition. Otherwise, you're told to deal with the manufacturer. When I expressed my frustration and raised my voice, the situation became even worse. Management accused me of being a habitual customer who constantly returns merchandise. Completely false! I haven't returned anything to this store in at least 10 years. They eventually accepted the return, but not before turning a simple transaction into a humiliating confrontation. The management was rude, the staff unfriendly, and the entire experience was unnecessarily stressful. Ironically, they're much more enthusiastic about pushing their store credit card than helping customers with defective products. I've rarely felt so unwelcome as a customer. A truly miserable shopping experience, and one I won't forget.
