I really enjoy the Kyle Costco, never too busy, easy to find parking and they have gas! Popped in for my usual items and found this kettle right on time as the current one is on the fritz. Being a loyal HEB fan, I had out of trying Costco. However, there is a discount on water softeners available if you go through them, and it justifies the cost of membership. That being said, I was impressed with their wide selection, overall organization, and cleanliness. I liked Sam's in the past, but Costco is the warehouse store of choice. I will still get my groceries from HEB, but we will be going here for their unique items and bulk buys I can't get elsewhere. read more

First time to visit this Costco. It is fairly new and has a good layout. Most Costco's are set up about the same way. This is a large Costco, not one of those small ones that doesn't have everything. And of course, after getting what you need and walking all over the store, looking at the wares you can stop for $1.50 hotdog and then chase it with a cup of ice cream. It's not a Costco trip unless it ends with an ice cream cup. read more

The store was very clean and organized and the employees were very friendly. This store had about the same selection as the Costco I frequent. Overall, great value for what I was looking for. Outstanding Service from Nate at Costco! I want to give huge recognition to Nate from Costco for providing some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. He spent hours digging into why my 2% Executive Member rewards hadn't been calculating correctly. After carefully reviewing my account, he discovered that since the beginning of my membership, none of my 2% rewards were being counted. Instead of brushing it off, Nate took the time to contact multiple departments and stay on top of the issue until it was fully resolved. This is my favorite club to visit nowadays. We can walk into Costco without reason and easily spend an hour and 200 unplanned dollars. They sell all of their items in bulk, which is especially great for paper products, cleaning supplies, and of course groceries. You never know what you'll find each visit! We even purchased some beautiful plants this last visit. All employees have been kind and their cafe is incredibly cheap. read more

Im a frequent shopper for Costco and am content they opened another and in Kyle outside of austin. They tend to have things organized, clean and the service is always friendly. I normally get lunch especially if with my little guy and mom. They love to get the hot dog/drink special they have for $1.50 and the huge slice of pepperoni pizza my grand baby was eyeing. The food always tastes fresh and they're pretty quick with getting your order done. The bathrooms are always clean and there are always carts waiting for you when you come in. I need to try the other items they have on the menu and all the items are priced well. read more

Good selection but similar to Sam's club in San Marcos' selections. I was hoping that there would be more Asian snack selections like other Costco locations I have been to in San Antonio. The value is there but I was hoping for a more diverse and new selection. It may be because they cater to certain demographic locations. The service was good and they tend to drive people with smaller volumes to the self-check out lines. They did end up opening more lanes when they see an increase in lines. They have their iconic rotisserie chicken at the back and the large Costco pizza at the food court. The true value is with the food court. I definitely will be coming back. The service A-, overall value of a good deal B+, and selection C-. Hopefully they improve their value by bringing in more diverse items like other Costco locations. read more

Typical Costco location, kept clean and usually well stocked but this store rarely has employees on the floor keeping things tidy and helping members find things in the store especially during peak hours. Also, the door 'greeters' at this location are the most hostile than any other Costco I've visited. I've been to locations in Brooklyn, Rural and suburban New Jersey, Austin and San Antonio and I've never felt uncomfortable or anxious entering a store. Today specifically Becky working the door decided to scream at me and then follow me through the electronics section while trying to enter the store (after scanning my membership card) because while I have a photo on my card it didn't show up on her screen. That kind of behavior is completely uncalled for let alone unprofessional. I'm a paying member and you'd think they'd treat you kindly. This location needs to do better. read more

I can now check off "go to Costco" off my bucket list. That's right ladies and gentlemen it took me till now to grace the gates of heaven that lead into Costo. Considering the one here in Kyle opened in 2023 it only took me like 15 months to check it out; more if you count my living in other states which I never went to either. First up, the parking is plentiful on a Saturday during lunch and it wasn't too packed. In fact, my girlfriend who had the card, commented on how slow it was. Finally, it's in a great section of town and I felt safe in terms of area and fellow customers. In full disclosure, I'm a divorced father whose kids live back in Kansas City so it really doesn't make sense for me to frequent the establishment. It's not like I need 5 gallons of beans and 3 tons of frozen chicken for just me. Now, of course checking the place out I was sure to sample all the free goodies and I was pleasantly surprised with what they offered. The chicken Tikka Masala was extremely good, so much so I put on a disguise like inspector gadget and went back twice. The Mango coconut chicken over rice was ok. The beef jerky sample I got was outstanding. I'm not going to go through all the samples but rest assured almost all of them were worth the money to buy the normal item. The isles are wide and I saw everything I would need there if I had a large family while the prices seemed on point. I didn't like the selection of produce as it was small so I would buy that as a compliment to main items on a grocery store list. They do have bulk meats which I was half tempted to purchase as I can think of one thousand recipes for brisket. I will add that I did get some "almond Florentine" cookies (in the south they're called lace cookies) and I enjoyed them as they're recipe was pretty close. The other store-bought cookies were kind of dry, but that seems standard for cookies at any grocery store. The cherry pastries were flaky, complimenting the cherry filling. The trail mix my girlfriend got was equally good and the price was on par with Walmart although buying so much I'd get bored of eating it. Now as most know, Costco is well known for their hot dogs however I didn't try them as I had lunch plans. The checkout line was fast and interesting as an employee actually scanned everything. The lines do move quickly which is a huge plus. Overall, the experience was a good one. Costco is one of those places where is almost a niche store for those who prefer to buy in bulk. That doesn't match my style of living however it doesn't deter from the speed, safety, quality and availability of many products this Costco offered especially to a large family. I would suggest checking it out if it's your thing as I don't believe you'll be disappointed. read more

Do not get any car service done here. I bought a set of all 4 new tires and when they installed them and gave me my car back, the rims were all scratched up, indented, and filthy. I brought it up immediately and the tire service manager just told me to file a claim. I filed one and after over a month of following up, their legal team finally informed me they could not take any responsibility due to the nature of the indents/scratches, and there's no way it could have been done by Costco. Unbelievable. They're just going to sell me a damaged product and say it's not their fault and there's nothing at all they can do?? Extremely disappointed in the customer service management on this and I feel very slighted. read more

I have to say a Costco goes this store is pretty nice. The store is clean, well stocked and has an interesting assortment of wines. The only thing I didn't find was a selection of cheeses on one tray. I love options when I'm pairing my wines and I don't want to have to buy 5 or 6 cheeses to get my variety. Costco should probably pay attention to the one overwhelmed employee that was checking customers out. As you can imagine the self check out line was very long. I visit CostCo at least twice a week. I love this CostCo because it's so close to my house in Kyle. The deals are great, and the value of the selections is exactly what I'm looking for. The employees are always so helpful. The only downside is that management continuously moves products around, making each visit difficult to find what I'm looking for. Overall, I enjoy visiting CostCo. I also enjoy the wide spaces in the parking lot. There's enough space where I don't worry about cars next to me hitting my car with their car doors. Head the store been here pre-2020, I would have been here more often. But my San Marcos to Austin daily road trips are behind me so now it's just the occasional spur of the moment need That brings me to this Costco. I've shopped around a little here but have yet to make any significant in store purchases, mostly because it's the middle of summer and this was not my final destination. Did run into one of my favorite cashiers from the South Austin store who has relocated since it's closer to home for him. If you can ever get in Reuben's line it's a treat. He's one of the most polite and hardest working employees they have. South Austin will miss him While I didn't notice the front door inquisition that our first reviewer complained about, you have to remember that membership is required to enter Costco. If you're not prepared to show, they can tell you not to go. It's their rules, not yours. A great shout out for having gas pumps at this location. Great Costco with some interesting perks compared to others in the area! This location is really close to work, which makes for a convenient trek, especially with the gas station at this location. The gas station opens early, I wanna say around 6a. This location also seems to have a lot of items in stock as compared to some other locations. read more

We have been Costco members for a few years, driving into Austin. I am so glad there is one in Kyle now. We have been several times now and really like shopping here. Employees are friendly, courteous and the store is always clean and well stocked. Love all the free food samples they give out as you shop. They not only have food but clothes. Shoes,and seasonal items at well as electronics. Buying meats in larger quantum's and then repacking them for the freezer when we get home has saved us a lot of money and less time having to shop for food weekly. I recommend them. Costco is great everything from the food court to self check out. Of course the legendary $1.50 hotdog and drink is the best deal ever, but the chicken bake, pizza, and ice cream are great. We buy allot of items there coffee, wine, vitamins and many other items all at a great price. Parking can get crowded but plan on that it seems Costco is always busy. Food court was incredibly slow. Guy at counter was rude and didn't explain to us that we have to let pizza window we want "extra stuff" aka our entire order. Explaining something very simple could've done the job but he wanted to be condescending about it then went to the back to hide when I called him out on his attitude. Won't be coming back. read more

Just like most Costcos, this one has great products and decent prices. However, the layout of this particular Costco is the worst I've seen, and I've been to dozens of Costcos around the country. Specifically I'm talking about the checkout situation. All other stores give the customers enough room to maneuver between the snacks and the checkout lines. Not here. First, the snacks are parallel to the registers, so there is no open space. Second, the snacks are placed so closely to the registers that only about 3-4 carts can fit, which makes it nearly impossible to get to a shorter line because you're always coming in from the side. I can't imagine someone from corporate signed off on this layout. You'd think by now they have realized the problem and would adjust. It's very frustrating. Also, the people who check the receipts at the door take at least 3x longer than folks at other stores. Not sure if that's just them needing experience but it's odd. read more

We love Costco for many reasons and every room in our house has something from Costco. Their Kirkland Signature brand is quality at an affordable price. A few of our favorite Kirkland items: Jeans, wine, bagels, shampoo & Conditioner, olive oil, trash bags, nuts of any kind, frozen veggies, cheese, butter, dog food, dog beds, cases of water, frozen lasagna... and that's just a few. Seriously, if you haven't tried a pair of Kirkland jeans, buy a pair! They fit like Levi's for half the price. Also love the food court. Large pepperoni or cheese pizza for $10, a hot dog and drink for $1.50!! Their pizza is our favorite. When my kids have friends over they often ask if we're having Costco pizza for dinner.. hint-hint. I am a bit disappointed they removed the churro from their menu and really hoping it has a comeback. Their seasonal section is a must visit every trip and we've learned to grab it while it's there because those items move quick. This Costco has always been clean and well stocked when we go. Like most Costco's they have friendly staff members, clean bathrooms and get those long lines moving pretty quickly. read more

The newly opened Costco location in Kyle Texas is just as fabulous as you can imagine. Tons of amazing produce with a pharmacy and optical center inside the building. The electronics are always the best value and I even got a pair of $100 Costa glasses that are regular $200 in the optical department. Staff is always really helpful and quick to get through the checkout lines. Everyone seems really happy and hard-working and it's definitely a blessing that the families in Kyle get to take home these deals now! read more

The people are nice, the store is clean and organized. I also love the food court. I'm always looking forward to their pizza and sweets. I love Costco & tell everyone to go for glasses. I am new to Kyle location. Yesterday afternoon,Pulled number right behind a man. A lady was looking at frames. 3 men working. I asked one how I knew ladies from men's, he told me sunglasses divide them. He then helped the lady that was looking at frames. Then he helped the man in front of me. Then the party begin behind the counter. No numbers ever called. One tall guy behind counter walked away. Other 2 kept on with chatting. Holding a couple frames, I kept waiting. Finally, I walked up to counter & put down the number I pulled. The guy said, thank you. What, really?I turned back around and said I stood waiting for you to help me or call my number & you both did nothing. The same one helped the 2 in front of me, other one did nothing. He asked if I still wanted help. Told him I would go to Selma Costco. He said I thought you were with someone. I used to feeling relaxed to go to Costco until I went to this location. The employees are talking to each other all the time and never pay attention to the customers going in. I was holding my membership card to show them and they didn't realize my presence until I've already walked a few steps away. They asked me to show my card and I had to take out my card and show them again without even a " thank you". On top of that, it took them several tries to count the groceries. They just don't trust the customers and neither themselves to perform a counting. It usually took way too long for them to count something less than 10 items. One time, the employee who scanned my grocery made a mistake on scanning and missed one item, I had to wait for 10 mins for someone to rescan so that I can get out of the door. I understand the store policy on counting items but if you can't be competent at your job, why should I have to waist my time on your liabilities? Now I just have to count my items after I pay! read more

Had a great experience at the Kyle Costco. I had been on the hunt for a very specific TV, and they happened to have ONE remaining, which was their floor model. It was the only one left in Austin as far as I could tell. The manager Tommy worked with me on the price (which was great to begin with, but a little out of my budget). Prob not the norm but because it had been on the floor for a while he said he had some wiggle room. Then I got there and Kimmy and Steve and their team packed it up for me and helped load it, and were so, SO friendly, helpful and patient. The team made my TV dreams come true! AND...it's covered by a FIVE year warranty, which I didn't know until I got there. Thank you guys!! read more

Love Costco more than anything they have great quality clothing and so much fun stuff and food and books and everyone loves a little sample or two! Costco is a hard place to work it's very busy and I give all people that work for Costco major kuddos! My favorite thing is the discounts once you become a member-which is not bad being that you can bring a friend or family member and it's only about $65 for the whole year for a basic membership. They also have really good deals for small or large businesses as far as their membership card goes there are options for everything including Credit Cards and deals depending on how many people join or if it's a whole family. I'd you have not been to Costco I would go. The sales are well worth the $65 and then food that is hot there is sooo good!!! They have the chicken bake they have the super big beef delicious hot dog and unlimited drink refills with your drink of choice and did I mention with unlimited refills for under $2! Chicken bake is my favorite and I love me some churros and frozen yogurt and the pizza is also amazing. To be honest I love the Costcos in the valley because they have the food section outside and lots of seating in the shade to the side of the Costco. This wouldn't work here because of the soda machine and the lack of human decency and people not liking when others are smiling or just nice upbeat friendly fun people . I mean if you are happy here in the bay someone wants to take it but in the valley u can miss me it too hott to be mad in the valley being 110 degrees for 3 months. But I'll tell you this... the frozen yogurt the churros and the chicken bake are my favorites at Costco and soo affordable. Costco is my go-to place for groceries now. It's cheaper than HEB, if you can store the bulk purchases. I was surprised at the bargains, which will make up for the membership cost soon. Although it's sometimes crowded, it's not nearly as much as HEB, and the lines go fast. read more

Store itself looked clean, only reason I'm giving 1 star is cause of an employee by the name of Nancy. Don't go here if you're a POC because you will get treated differently, at least by this employee. She didn't ask for the 3 groups of people going in the store for their membership cards, but as soon as I walked in she stopped me and insisted multiple times and very loudly that I take out my card. I know it's customary in Costco's, as it was like that at my last one as well (we are new to the area). The only difference is she didn't ask the people in front of me who were not POC. She said that she did, my husband and I took the extra step to ask the gentleman in front of us if they asked for his card and he said no. We left like 2 minutes after entering due to the icky feeling we got from that.
