No one was there to accept them. The dock area was a complete disaster area, strewn with dumped stuff & downed signs. You couldn't even get to the door at the top of the ramp. A woman inside finally came out & mumbled something about everyone going on break at the same time before she helped take the boxes. I thought this might just be a one time issue with the dock. However, I was by there again a couple of days later & the dock was still an accident waiting to happen. It's an admirable concept but too bad it's not better managed. After looking at some reviews, I do agree, majority of the clothes are leaning more towards the younger audience, but it makes sense because it is located in a college town. The clothes I see in Dallas are more diverse, but leaning more towards the mature side. So, the clothes they have do depend on the location of the Uptown. For this particular location, I think they're pretty good on having clothes that are trendy and up-to-date for college students. The most recent visit I had was very pleasant. They were doing an event for an anniversary and I was welcomed with a coupon at the door which was nice! I ended up a few things including a pair of Aerie Crossover Flowy Shorts for such an amazing price that I couldn't even find looking through Depop and Poshmark. After checking out, I was given a swag bag that had some cute pieces in there and I left with a cookie lol. I love and miss San Marcos so much! This place is also one of the reasons why I enjoy coming back. I remember thrifting in SanMo wasn't always the best specifically for me, but I think this place is guaranteed to have the items you're looking for. They have a large bric brac and household section so be sure to hit that first as I found so many great additions for our home from vases, glassware, a desk monitor stand, and even picture frames. We are greeted every time we walk in and when we head out. This Goodwill location is worth just a few hops away from South Austin.
