This Goodwill store is always a hit for me! I never walk out of here empty handed as I end up finding great stuff from furniture all the way to one-of-a-kind clothes. All areas are organized and items are always marked. They have a large bric brac and household section so be sure to hit that first as I found so many great additions for our home from vases, glassware, a desk monitor stand, and even picture frames. There is plenty of space in the parking lot and super close to the national chain store next door where you could easily walk to if. needed. Staff is friendly and kind as well. We are greeted every time we walk in and when we head out. This Goodwill location is worth just a few hops away from South Austin. It will be worth your time to go out of the city to find some cool, cheap, and unique thrift finds. read more

Had to knock off a star unfortunately. The bathrooms are wreck and show clear signs of neglect. The sales floor is strewn with torn cartons and remnants of other items. The cashier staff continues to be friendly and efficient. Perhaps it is a lack of staffing causing these other issues. read more

Guessing most complaints are about pricing. Many of of the prices at this and ALL Goodwills are almost as if you're buying new at TJ Maxx. Goodwill prices suck. Look at the pillow section and you'll see bed pillows for $19 EACH. I needed some old comforters, so I bought some old worn ones, that because of their condition, should've been one dollar but they were $6 each. Upon taking them home, I found one was ripped and shredded, which didn't matter for my purposes, but I imaged how a person who actually needs them would feel. I'm guessing that, over the past decade, some new (and dumb) board was appointed so as to maximize profits instead of helping poorer people. I'm all about prioritizing profits, but not when your mission statement is charity to the poor. Goodwills nationwide have these ridiculous prices, so maybe they should reconfigure their board. read more

This is a nice Goodwill Store. It is clean, well lit, and the staff is courteous and friendly. I observed staff at this store actively cleaning and dusting during my visit. However Goodwill overall, has slowly increased prices and added brand new items such that you may not be getting as good of a deal as you think you are. Used to be everything in the store was a deal but not so much anymore. You can still usually find some bargains but you just have to look harder. read more

My wife and I have been regular customers of the Kyle Goodwill for years. Yesterday if I had been ask who was the number one employee in the store I would have said "Brian Sullivan". This morning I found out he was fired because of being "Wrote Up". I have never seen him get upset or talked down to any employee or customer. Ask any customer of the store and I can assure you they will agree. Most days he would report to work around noon and would often go out of his way to thank someone for shopping in his store or just say "Hello". He was simply a credit to Goodwill and the store in Kyle. A couple days ago he ask about a customer that he had not recently seen. I told him about the health problem the customer was having and he told me he would be praying for him. I do not know who made the decision to fire him and I do not plan to ask because the employees were told to not ask questions or talk about the firing. Needless to say he will be missed and the person who made this decision was simply Wrong. read more

Wow. This is pretty nice for a Goodwill. It was my first time in this store. Only three stars because the lady working in the back came out and I asked her where the pots and pans were located. She rolled her eyes and vaguely pointed, saying over there. The checkout lady was very kind and personable. read more

I was thrilled to hear that this area now has a goodwill. This location is quite large, well organized, and clean. I know that each district has their own system for pricing and I think the Central Texas Goodwill's are out of their minds with pricing. First, I found items that are still being sold in store at Walmart and target for a mark up in this store. They had a blanket from Walmart that retails for $2.99 and had it marked more than triple the price here. When compared to goodwills in other parts of the country the thrill of the hunt is dead here. It's nice to shop in the goodwill stores that have a set price for items. For example $2.49 for all children's clothing with the exception of a select few items. This store has very used play condition clothing marked higher than new clothing. You may get lucky and find a hidden treasure here for a bargain. But it's really not worth my time for the most part. read more

I reviewed a Goodwill once; the one in Lakeway. Joked that one year old BMW's were $4.99 and there was bottle service while you shopped. Prices between my local GW and even a posh neighborhood like Lakeway are quite similar. Last week I also bought a patio set (table, 4 chairs) for $40 at a local GW. Then I focus on the Kyle Goodwill. Yes, huge..I'm sure the rent is more than some stores I've been too. BUT, they have a billion stores. International company with a non profit status. They don't pay employees that much. A good percentage of labor is free...community service. I've embarrassed a few friends working off DWI's there lol. SO, why is a glass table with two chairs (less than I bought) $199.00 at your store? Holes in the grill of a cheap ass mass produced Kenwood Subwoofer...$49. DCM speakers post Ann Arbor ownership, $100 (crappy). Y'all stop believing eBay buy it now prices and look at completed listings. I asked the manager why the prices were so high...no explanation. This is the best and largest Goodwill that I have ever been to. Organization is their key point here. There is lots of parking even though this Goodwill is kind of hidden towards the back of the large shopping center. There are tons and tons of books to choose from. There are separate smaller racks to the side that have clothing that are arranged by color, style, and occasion. They even have accessories like shoes and purchases on these racks to complete the look. We spent a long time at this Goodwill because of how massive the size of this one was. What I ended up purchasing: - Gray Banana Republic Sweater $8 - Levi Jeans $8 - Blue V-Neck T-Shirt $2 Overall, would definitely return to this Goodwill in the future. Take all my money. read more

Don't even bother wasting your money at Goodwill. The prices are absolutely ridiculous, and they won't give you your money back even if the electronic they sold you doesn't work. They are so well organized. Friendly employees. If u need the help they are there. Shopping on Tuesdays is a great bargain specially if u r a Senior. We watch those prices they are really low. Clean all the way to the bathrooms. I will say if u are looking for great deals doesn't matter how old u r u r sure to walk out with a bargain of a lifetime. Kids have a good selection of many toys. Man's pants and shirts are terrific. And above all their Cloths are very clean and fresh smelling. Love thus place , we recommend it to everyone. read more

I have mixed feelings about Goodwill in general, but yet I find myself coming to this store quite often. Yes, there are plenty of brand new items which can be overpriced, however if you look hard enough at the used items you can find yourself a really good bargain. This store is gigantic and out of all the goodwills that are in Austin, I found this one to be much more organized. The restrooms AND fitting rooms could definitely use some TLC though. Make sure to wear socks in the fitting rooms. They also do have really cool items in their auctions. My brother purchased a working original playstation and just loves it. I recommend you take a peek inside and dont forget to check out the auctions, they go live every Saturday for bidding. read more

Terrible! New building but everything is insanely overpriced! Ex: Brand new sheet set for $32 at Goodwill looked the same exact sheet set up on Amazon and they were $19.99, heavily worn jacket $30, heavily worn work boots $25, etc.. Nothing worth their sky high prices. read more

This kyle tx location is not worth a Tuesday trip. Their is a family of 5 who are there from open to close who wait for every bin to bully other shoppers in getting what they want first. Customer shopping has dropped significantly. Management has been alerted and so has upper management. Nothing has changed. read more

a brand new *not a old remodeled building * a newly built large building with plenty of parking situated directly off a major city highway. i was impressed athough it seemed to be lacking in the quantity of items found in some of the established stores ,the potential was there to install more racks/shelves and display cabinets and the staff were all well trained in customer relations ..found myself a few items i could not leave with out so out came the C/C. goodwill has always been one of my favorite places to shop., you can find many items there that are , made in the good old usa not something you can find in most of the major box stores . glad we have a goodwill in this fast growing town . no need to go to austin or san marcos anymore i can shop locally which has always been my goal. ill be back read more

Gary needs a lesson in customer service. I went to return an overpriced lamp that ended up not working after bulb replacement. Lance was awesome and friendly. He had to call for Gary to come press some buttons on the register. Gary didn't want to come and do it just yet so he asked Lance to ask me if I had any shopping to do. I have plans to go to the movies so I said I didn't have any shopping to do at the moment. Gary comes to the register very upset that he had to do his job. It take him about 5 seconds to push the necessary buttons. He proceeds to tell Lance to next time MAKE people do some shopping. Um no. My apologizes that you had to walk 20 feet, push some buttons and do your job. My bad. I love this Goodwill normally. I mean the prices are too high but I still go and look for those hidden gems. Gary needs some customer service skills and maybe a recap of what his job duties are. It's Gary's fault the other 2 stars are missing in my review. read more
