One bridesmaid suggested I drive down to her alteration place in San Marcos, Special Occasions. I called beforehand to verify their hours and said I would be coming in that weekend to try it on for a quote. The bride ended up coming with me because she had a few things to alter as well. The dress was way too big on me and too long. I was provided a very acceptable price and received friendly service. It was around thanksgiving and I was in no rush, so it was about 2 weeks before I could get back down there on a weekend. It was well worth the travel. I tried it on before I paid for it and noticed it was still a bit big in the waist, so she said she will fix it immediately if my friend and I wanted to grab lunch nearby. She stayed open past their closing time and called me back in about an hour. I didn't try it on again, I trusted her! And the dress fit me like a glove. I've worn it to 2 weddings now and even throughout washes everything stayed taught. Highly recommend this place.

They were sitting on top of the cashier counter talking and gossiping the whole time we were in the store. You also choose specific design details for your shirt, trousers, or jacket. She arrives at your home later with the goods. I have a friend who looks like a model and is on the "call" list for By George For Men and Stag. He loves to look sharp and that can be very spendy. He now has several custom shirts, trousers, and even a jacket from J. Hilburn that make him look like a million bucks without breaking the bank. Once they have your measurements in the system, friends and family have a very easy job buying you the perfectly fitted shirt or trousers... and my dad even admitted that it is not anything at all like the clothing at a men's store, made for the masses. After checking out, I was given a swag bag that had some cute pieces in there and I left with a cookie lol. I love and miss San Marcos so much!
