Hands down! Best Carne Asada Burrito I ever had. Carne Asada is juicy and well seasoned and so is the rice and beans. I love the flour tortilla. Great customer service from the staff and plenty of parking. It's Cash Only! Great place to stop if you're at the Hueneme Beach or Pier. You can dine in or order to go. I definitely recommend give them a try.

I've been coming here for over 10 years and this is my favorite burrito shop of all time. I usually get the Carne Asada burrito, with little beans and little rice-- just because I want to indulge in the salty taste of the steak. The burrito is not-at-all fat in diameter like a muscle builder's biceps, but instead long and fairly skinny that's packed with a spiked flavor. The party inside the burrito contains: soft (yet firm) refried beans, fluff of bright orange spanish rice, freckeled with cilantro and onions, and chopped beef swimming in a salty house sauce that I still -till this day- do not know the true secrets of. The tortilla seems like it's house made that's fluffy and soft like a 4-ply tissue paper, and has been sitting idly and warming up for the day to be eaten. I've had my fareshare of burritos across the west coast, ranging from Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Venice, East LA, Long Beach, and San Diego. I dream about this place and nothing compares to its phenomenal taste, soft texture, salty punch, and it's simple package. It's not to be compared with Chiptole, Freebirds!, or custom burritos from Wholefoods as size is not this restaurants priority, but instead, they honor the taste of pure authentic Mexican cuisine stapled with pride and no-bullshit attitude. These guys are the real MVP, and I highly recommend them. They get 5 stars for quality, price, and consistent anthenticity for as long as I can remember.

To go quesadilla half pollo and half asada. Meat is tender and juicy. Complimentary chips and salsa

Don't head over here for the ambience, go for the succulent asada, the spicy burritos and the friendly folks at the counter.

With that being said, I wanted to try it out. This was about 2 years ago prior to this visit I had today at this location. I jotted the note down after overhearing him talking about it while watching Netflix. When arriving, the environment outside is run down, old fashioned and in the scary graffiti, homeless surrounding. Parking is difficult to find, but we got lucky me and a colleague. The place is on a road side where parking it located a few streets between about 100 feet away. The surrounding had graffiti and loitering which was unpleasant and I would imagine it is worse at night, be careful here! Inside, a wonderful aroma excites you as you enter the restaurant. Booths all around and hard uncomfortable seats. A lot of people came here today on Sunday afternoon. Customer service was excellent, the guy at the front was very chill, polite and acted as if I was his homie, buddy or good friend. This is what I like. I ordered the birria of course, a meat drenched in a bunch of flavors for days to keep the meat juicy, tender and moist. The variations ordered were three tacos plate with birria, onions cilantro and a consome that was massive. This meal was $17. The other order was a four piece birria quesadilla that was absolutely delightful, succulent and had a delicious hunger craving aroma and flavor that any starving or hungry person would die for! This plate was $14. The tacos did come with beans and rice. Between the two dishes the birria quesadilla was my favorite however, the tacos tasted better. The tortilla of the tacos was fresh and made with love. The value was regular, something I expected compared to taco trucks and side vendors of Mexican food. This place is extraordinary. I felt guilty after consumption because it was fatty, juicy and everything you would want in a pleasurable meal, but it was heavy on the calories and filling. It was a messy meal, I added salsas, more seasoning from the condiments bar. There were so many different sauces and fillings like lemon etc. to balance the flavors of the birria. The console incuded was an added kick that I loved. Definitely one of the best if not the best birria I ever had and I highly recommend this place if you like Mexican cuisine at its finest. An absolute hidden treasure that you need to try! I'll come back after a month of consistent cardio and strength training to burn enough fat and make room for another appetite that soothes my brain cells.

Place isn't too big inside and it was packed when we went on a Saturday afternoon. I was for sure going to get the nachos and tacos but wanted more. Jesus was kind enough to recommend the grilled cheese and burrito. Both were great recs and delish! I mean I thought about the grilled cheese and burrito days after. The horchata was creamy and you could tell it was made in house. This place is delish, no notes.

I went there for lunch on a weekday, and I was pretty pleased with the service and food. The woman at the counter did speak English so that's always feels more comfortable, especially if you have any special requests. They have an open kitchen where they assemble orders, and the cook was rather friendly. I ordered a roasted pork burrito (I can't remember the name, but it's not carnitas). The meat was tender and tasted like it was slow cooked. The tortilla is not anything special, but all the fillings (rice, beans) were good. There is larger rice than beans ratio, but they give plenty of meat protein. I have been here several times in the past. I remember totally ratchet seating areas, where there were large holes in the floor. There seems to be some updates and the seating area is cleaned up (but I've only done takeout). They now also accept credit cards. For a low cost burrito, this is satisfying. Most burritos are ~ 10.

It was only a dollar on each (5 ) of our bills but they should have told us. Many Mexican restaurants provide them as a complimentary appetizer, so it would have been nice if the server had let us know beforehand. The biggest issue, however, was the service. One person in our party never received his meal. We had to ask about it, and we were simply told, "It's coming," with no explanation or apology. We ended up waiting so we could all eat together, so my soup was cold and I ended up not eating it and had to take it home. When the bill came, I asked what had happened. I was hoping the server would apologize or at least explain the delay. Instead, she didn't really answer my question. Only after I commented that they must have forgotten it, server said his meal had burned and the kitchen had to remake it. It would have been much better if she had communicated that to us from the beginning instead of leaving us wondering what was going on. Throughout the meal, the server rarely checked on our table to see if we needed anything or if everything was okay. Given the long delay and lack of communication, I also think it would have been a nice gesture to either comp the delayed meal or at least remove the charge for the chips and salsa. And normally we would tip less but she added the tip to the bill Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable dinner with friends turned into a frustrating experience because of the lack of communication and customer service.
