    Patio with restaurants
    Erika V.

We were looking for a cute place for some wine and little bites and found this place, super unexpected. We were walking down R. Garrett and saw people going into like a little tunnel that took you into this patio with 4 restaurants. On the back, we found this tapas place and sat for some wine. We got a white wine from the house, good and refreshing, and ordered some Goatcheese Puffy Pastries (this were hot and delicious! Perfect blend of crunchy and cheese) and Bruschettas which were delicious too! The ambience was so nice and the service was really good too. Prices were affordable overall.

We found this place while walking around Lisbon. Everything we tried was great! The white sangria was amazing! Must be the cinnamon sticks and rosemary. The chicken wings are small but they are tasty. We also liked the shrimp dish. The Camembert cheese was very good - you can eat the rind which was soft. We accidentally ordered way too many potatoes dishes. The potato skins are just French fries cut with the skin. Overall, a great meal and drinks.

Tapas n friends is great! I think the menu is plentiful enough to cater to all. After 2 weeks in Europe we were missing some American food and we def felt we had found some of those flavors here. We sat inside, while the bulk od people sat outside, so I did think we were forgotten a few times when asking for water. But the food came quick and we enjoyed it all. The drinks were taste as well and the bartender even took a pic for us at the end. I would def visit here again and recommend this place to others. Very cutesy vibe and street art is decorated throughout.

This was one of our chillest meals. Tapas n' Friends was such a cute restaurant, you can sit outside with blankets if you choose, sip on wine, smell the orange blossoms, eat some delicious tapas, even the place settings were cute to me. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly, she answered all of our questions and even joked around with us, it was just so comfortable and inviting. We really loved the food and vibe at Tapas n' Friends. I would recommend it to anyone, even if you just stop by for a drink and a snack while walking around!

BBQ Ribs, cheeses, truffled potatoes + mozzarella + tomato

Randomly stumbled upon this place and we were SO glad we did. There are so many options, but I doubt you could go wrong with any. We got bread, olives, cheeses, smoked ham + sliced meats, truffled mashed potatoes, mozzarella + tomato bruschetta, bbq ribs, and the best: traditional roasted chorizo (which they light on fire next to your table). That chorizo was so good. The staff was so pleasant, and the building is beautiful. We sat in the back on the patio, and the vibes and atmosphere were lovely. Food + drinks came out quickly and we had a wonderful time. So glad we found this place! Have recommended it to others and will continue to do so! Will be returning ASAP.

Food was delicious. My favorite was the croquettes and the potatoes / fries. The service was very helpful and the menu came with pictures of everything which I thought was amazing! It's a small but nice place with a good atmosphere inside!

This place is absolutely fantastic! We were seated outdoors which has a nice quaint atmosphere under an orange tree with lamps. our server was very nice and took lovely photos my family and me when asked. We ordered white sangria which was nice and refreshing. It had passionfruit, honey, and cinnamon which hit the spot after a day of walking and sighseeing. For tapas we decided on garlic shrimp, octopus salad, fish cakes, chorizo, bruschetta, and shishito peppers. The garlic shrimp was our favorite! It was tender and flavorful and the sauce was just perfect. The octopus salad was had a nice citrusy dressing and accented with onions and bell peppers. Fish cakes had a mild flavor and was quite filling. Chorizo was savory and they flambee it in front of you which gave it a nice char. Bruschetta was another one of my favorites! The senna cheese was buttery and complimented the smoky ham and the bread was perfectly soft. The peppers were not too hot and grilling it brought out the flavors well. We ordered pasteles for dessert and it came with port! The pastry was so flaky and the filling was custardy with the right amount of sweetness. The port had cherry undertones and paired well the tart. A nice end to an impressive meal.

Garlic mushrooms, patatas bravas, fried cudderfish, and spritz

The food was great and the location was nice being in the city center. The potatoes were delicious as were the mushrooms. The only complaints would be that service was fairly slow (mid day Wednesday in May) and the loud noise coming from the shop next door making customized aprons (kinda sounds like drilling the whole time). While the port and custard dessert were delicious, I got too full and tried to cancel the dessert option (you have to order everything at once), but they wouldn't let me. Would visit again.

Best stuffed mushrooms ever. Small portobello mushrooms with finely ground sausage and a perfectly cooked qual egg on top. Prawns and olives were good too. The meatballs were hard as rocks but delicious.

We found this place by chance when my sister and I lost our way in Lisbon one gorgeous day in October 2019. Hungry and tired, we chose this restaurant just outside Lisbon Catedral or Sé de Lisboa. Thoroughly enjoyed our selection except the fried morcela. Somehow there was an aftertaste I wasn't fond of. We were delighted with the fiery presentation of the traditional roasted chorizo. The sweetness of the roasted eggplant cannelloni paired perfectly with the cheesy mozzarella. For our sobremesa (dessert) we had lemon custard. Sorry I forgot to take a photo. It was just the right sweetness and tartness to wrap up our late, late lunch. Ate breve Portugal (See you soon Portugal)

Delicious lunch, stumbled across this and it didn't disappoint. Highly recommend the Mini burgers

Good food, nice interior, burgers were delicious, meatballs also fab, little honey and nut pastries were a winner also. Highly recommend

The codfish dumpling fusion was a pleasant surprise, creamy on the inside and a nice chewy gyoza wrapper. The octopus rice was good too. A decent amount of octopus with rice in a smoked bell pepper sauce. I was disappointed by the seafood pasta soup though. I liked the mussels, but the shrimp and the clams weren't the freshest. The clams were a little mushy. It had a nice seafood stock flavor, but definitely could have used more salt and seasoning. We had mixed service from one of the female servers.

It's rotisserie chicken doused with a spicy hot sauce so what's not to like? I knew it was a Portuguese-originated dish, so I looked for a place famous for it. Here on a Sunday evening, there was quite a queue extending up the cobblestone alley, so I realized this must be the place. Although it was at least thirty people deep, it didn't take more than twenty minutes for Jamie W and me to secure a table upstairs. It was a homestyle dining room set-up that hovered between cozy and crowded depending on the fluctuating volume level. Interestingly all the servers were male, and while ours was the most junior, he consciously followed the behavior of his veteran brethren. There was no question about our main course, the 13,5€ Frango Assado No Espeto (Roast Chicken on the Spit) (Photo 7). It was tender and succulent enough albeit a bit under seasoned, all the more reason to pour a liberal dose of the piri piri sauce (Photo 8). Our sides were simple but shareable, the 3,2€ Batata Fritta (French Fries) (Photo 9) and the 4,3€ Salada Mista (Mixed Salad) (Photo 10). Both were fine, though we really wanted to try their Cream Spinach. They were already out of it in the kitchen. We were quite satisfied nonetheless, and their service pretty much worked like clockwork. Jamie and I agreed we'd definitely come back if the passion for poultry strikes us on a return trip to Lisbon. In the meanwhile, I'll just do a run to Costco, buy a rotisserie chicken, and dream of Portugal. A small line of one or two groups at a time formed throughout the night. We were seated outside and there was a street performer with an acoustic guitar - def added some great vibes to the night. It was a chilly December night but the heater provided *just enough* warmth. We ordered the codfish cakes which were alright - nothing too special. Since it was a little cold out, I also ordered the chicken broth. It was bland, but good in its own way. There was some rice and chicken bits in it that tasted really good. The rotisserie chicken that they are known for was EXTREMELY salty. We were a group of 6 and ordered 2.5 rotisserie chicken (so 5 pieces) but this was actually way too much. It's a little better (but still salty) if you don't eat the skin, but that's the best part given how crispy it was! I tried to drown out the saltiness by using the piri piri sauce and it helped a little bit... but biting into the chicken meant biting into the undissolved salt bits. Given how salty it was, we could not finish it at all and left behind 3 pieces. Service itself was meh. They made sure to inform us that the tip was not included in the bill.

I'm going to recommend to our travel coordinator to add this restaurant to the Google map recommendations list because more people need to go to this place - they need more tables, more space, because I'm convinced this is such a hidden gem that should be exposed to the masses to enjoy! We visited several wineries and this restaurant had the best wine - bar none! The fish, a fish I hadn't tried before, was deliciously seasoned, falls apart with the fork, the creamy rice was just divine. I normally will never eat little cherry/grape tomatoes - ever - but the perfect bite of fish, creamy rice, and a tomato was... perfection. The menu is deeply curated; flavors - textures - wines that make sense. You can tell Frederico what you normally like and he 100% knows what wines he has that you will love. The tomato, orange, ham, salad, was absolutely balanced and delicious.
