We got lucky as a table for 4 opened up so we were seated quickly. Great service with staff taking orders and explaining food and wine list. Share most dishes as some have allergies. They were very accommodating. See the pictures for a description. Iberico was a hit! Prawns nice size. Potato was loaded! Beans were great. Just a little tough. Great olives e cheese plater. I highly recommend this place.
This location is just on the edge of Borough market. The interior is cozy with table seating as well as high tops. Food: Peppers, ham croquettes, squid ink rice, and patatas bravas were decent. Shrimp was delicious. Steak was sinewy and hard to slice even with a sharp steak knife. Cost: £92 for three of us. Service: Friendly and efficient.

The weight staff was fabulous and the food was delicious. Salad was a little bland and I had a white sangria which was nothing to write home about. The olives were amazing and so was the chorizo (only a touch spicy). Overall I would say this place is a great find and I would definitely go back again.
Tapas Brindisa is hard to miss, it stands boldly on the corner of the street and is usually buzzing with people. That made me and a friend wonder in to try what the hype was about. The service was good given how busy the place was. The food quality was ok and so was the sangria. We ordered a mix of tapas from seafood to veggie sides. The food loses a star for me given the quality you would expect from Spanish tapa food and the ambiance loss the other star since it was so crowded you can barely get through the spaces to the restrooms and the poor staff struggles to get by with all the food and drinks.
After enjoying so many wonderful tapa's in Spain , Spanish Tapas served in a London square right off the market area sounded exciting but unfortunately the Tapa's we tried were hit or miss. We started with a cocktail & some basic cava. First up , the padron peppers and they were rockstar! Then we order the rest of our items and they all come out together at once in about 5 minutes. Only saw the waitress once more after that, because they brought one incorrect dish. The fresh tomato salad with roasted hazelnuts was possibly one of the best I have had but the bread ( pan) & the truffle mushroom rice (risotto) were blah, boring and dry. The fried goat cheese with supposedly an egg & drizzled with honey was nice. Overall only a 50/50 experience.
Brindisa is a lively and authentic tapas restaurant located in the heart of Borough Market. My friend and I arrived on a Thursday evening and waited for around an hour. They don't take reservations here, so be prepared for a queue during peak hours. Of all the dishes we ordered, I enjoyed the black rice the most. Its texture was superbly smooth, complemented by the crunchiness of the fried squid. A close second were the Padrón peppers, simply grilled with just a dash of sea salt.
All the foods here we tried was amazing. The pork dish was so tender and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful in giving some suggestions. I would skip the sausage on toast (way too salty) and skip the bruschetta (nothing special). Go for the pork steak in bacon and the chicken with mushrooms. Those 2 dishes were phenomenal.
I happened upon this lovely restaurant on the edge of Borough Market. I was feeling for an indoor, seated service place. The tapas selections were wide ranging. I recently spent time with vegetarians on this business trip and was aware of the multiple selections the menu offered. As a ardent carnivore, it also has items for me. The dishess came out fast and fresh. My favorites wwere the huevos Rotos Con Sobrasada and the croquettes de jamon.

This place was actually really good. We went to the Burroughs market but pretty much everything was very close so we decided to stop here.Croquetas were OK and so much the tortillas Española. The ribeye was the star with the chimichurri sauce, absolutely divine. The only thing that turned me off was the way it was being a little snippy. When I ask if you can take it to Gurl since it was a lot of meat for both of us to finish, je said they don't do Takeaway, which is kind of funny because it says on the sign take away either way just because of that I don't think I'll ever come back here. read more
Lovely, bustling place! We walked in on a Friday night without reservations and managed to get a table. The staff are so hard-working and the food comes out quickly. We tried the Mussels in Cider, the Tortilla Española, and the Monte Enebro-- "Raphael Baez's award-winning fried goat's cheese, orange blossom honey, beetroot crisps". All were delicious! This place seemed like a mix of locals and tourists. They also have a lovely patio for people-watching! If you come during the day, you can also check out the Brindisa shop down the street, where you can take home some nice meats and Spanish snacks. read more

This place is abuzz and when you step in, it is obvious why. The wafting aromas tease you with delight. We waited 30-40 minutes for a table and were famished which explains why fewer photos. No one in our party wanted to wait. read more

The food and service were superb!! Must try the Iberico pork. We stumbled upon this little gem when walking through the Borough Market, and we were all blown away by the quality and taste of every dish! read more

The concept as well as the taste and portions of the food was ideal! This place gets packed and the reason is obvious. Food comes out pretty quick; Just as fast as it get to the table it is gone. Flavor couldn't be any better and they have a good menu full of options. read more

Brindisa is a causal authentic tapas restaurant by the Borough Market. There is a bar in the back and tables are quite to one another, the atmosphere is rather warm and lively. Great for a group gathering, but if you are into intimate conversation. Here might not be the place because your " neighbors" 2.5 inches away can definitely hear the details hahaa :) They don't take reservation here, so be prepare for a queue during peak hours. I would say an hour is quite common. I highly suggested to get drinks from the back bar before your name gets called up and chill ! If you don't have the time and mood for it, this is probably not the place. Every time we ate here, it has always been a great meal. Our usual orders including the Galician style shrimp, Squid Ink Risotto, Sea bass, tomato salad, and the most traditional tapas such as Patatas Bravas and croquetas de jamon. We also tried the meat dishes, but I would say the seafood dishes are more in my taste preference Service is hit or miss here, perhaps it's a busy fast paced causal restaurant. Overall, we love to come by after going to Borough Farmer's Market. Brindisa is definitely the best choice for tapas in Southwark/ Bankside. I always have a good time here whether I came with family or friends or a date. read more

In London for the day, I couldn't resist the temptation to try out Tapas Brindisa in Borough. A late call to arms to London Yelpers got me a great dining partner in the lovely Tirthankar D (Tapas is always better shared, right?) and we met up for a quick lunch on Thursday. It is not possible to make a reservation here so I made sure I arrived on the dot of 12 and it was easy to secure a table. The restaurant did fill up fast though so I would definitely recommend getting here early. A glass of Tempranillo, served in a tumbler not a wine glass, was a nice starter while I browsed the menu that is split in to many sections - picoteo (small bar snacks), tapas plates, charcuteria, cheese, bread and house specialties. We decided to choose four dishes to split between the two of us - Spanish tortilla, smoked chorizo on toast, grilled lamb cutlets and pan fried hake. The Spanish tortilla was traditional in style, being large in size and full of potato and onions. It was a great accompaniment to the rest of the dishes. The smoked chorizo was served on toast with roasted red peppers and rocket - a delicious dish, but then I am a huge fan of chorizo. The lamb cutlets were very full of flavour and cooked perfectly for me, but maybe a little pink for some people. They were served with a homemade portion of aioli (garlic mayonnaise). My only complaint would be that they were a little on the fatty side. The hake was served with potatoes, onions, fried garlic and paprika. The fish was white and fresh but I feel that if you are going to serve fish with the skin on, it should always be crispy, not flaccid and a little slimy!! The service was definitely more focused on efficiency than friendliness, a far cry from tapas bars in Spain, and even my local haunts in Brighton. I would have preferred a more authentic feel to the service, but I guess this is the price you pay when you come to a restaurant whose main focus appears to be getting customers through the door. I would definitely come back though, there are numerous dishes that I still want to try, and the beauty is that you can stock up on ingredients from their nearby delicatessen in Borough Market and try to recreate the magic at home! read more

This is a great place which serves up some delicious Spanish Tapas. The staff tend to be very upbeat and entertaining and definitely add to the appeal of the restaurant. I would say that this is the type of place which is great if you want to pop on for food after work or a trip to Borough Market as it gets very hectic and noisy and perhaps not for those who are after a quiet meal. The tapas menu is good with lots of options - I went along with a couple of friends and ordered a range of different dishes which works well if there is a group. Despite the place being busy we only waited 20 minutes for the food and it was lovely. Brindisa also has a stall on Borough Market at the back of the restaurant which offers a good range of authentic Spanish ingredients such as tuna loin - yes, it is rather expensive but the food is worth it. read more

I was invited here for business lunch so I had nothing to lose and we could check out what these guys had to offer. The potatoes and the fried ham and cheese were average. The filet steak was definitely a step in the right direction and really tasty but my favourite order was the sea bass. THAT was very good and I enjoyed it a lot! read more

Service was a little weird not sure if it's because we were foreigners or what. We went for breakfast which apparently is rare since they are most known for their lunch. However got the mushroom egg scrambled with toast which was cooked well lacked a little salt (American taste buds) but none the less cooked well Also got the potatoes and meat which reminded me of corn beef. And last but not least the pancakes....not a fan of the pancakes at all. Wouldnt recommend them at all, has no real flavor, and one big mushy mess. read more

Well.... we came to this place highly recommended by friends on November 17, 2018. For some reason, they only had about five items available on the menu. We chose the Patatas Bravas and the Tortilla Espanola. I don't know what was going on with the kitchen, so we just made the most of it. Borough Market was insanely packed, so we decided it would be faster to eat here where at least we would have a table. The potatoes were nothing special at all. Very bland roasted potatoes with a bland sauce that tasted like straight mayonnaise. I've had an insanely good version of this dish in Portland, OR at Tasty N Sons/Tasty N Alder, so I know what it *can* taste like. This had no spice or flavor at all. On the other hand, their tortilla espanola was incredible. A truly special and delicious entree. Guess we caught them on a bad day. Sad about that... read more

I don't know how I can accurately describe this restaurant without my mouth beginning to water. I came here on a weekday morning before the Borough Market opened to kill some time. We were there for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours just hanging out and enjoying the food. It's a tapas/breakfast establishment and I got breakfast and an americano. My eggs were cooked to perfection and the chorizo was outrageous. It wasn't too spicy but had a good enough kick to it. I remember eating the chorizo and thinking to myself how this is what a chorizo should taste like. Definitely one of the better tapas restaurants I've been to, if you are in the area and want to check out a new different place, I would absolutely suggest you come here. Only pitfall was that the service wasn't all that great. read more

I'm lucky enough to be able to get to Brindisa in about 15 minutes from my bolt hole in South London and its always a pleasure when someone suggests it for lunch or dinner (not a great place for solitary dinning in my opinion as it's a little too hectic). The no booking policy works well but means that given its position on the corner of the market and the fact that its very well known you need to get there early on a Saturday or linger about outside because the bar area is always full. In fact I'm beginning to think I might actually prefer eating in the bar area this summer - there are a couple of settings in the window which are quite quiet if you fancy something more intimate and the high stools by the door are nice and cool and give you a good view of all the action. Wherever you manage to get seated it's going to be cosy. Anyway yesterday was a light lunch to get us in the mood for a wander along the Thames and some retail therapy. B ordered up the clams with bacon and capers, the secreto iberico pork, tomato bread and a couple of glasses of the house white. Everything was excellent but the pork was just sublime - really well seasoned, full of flavour and cooked with a very skilful touch. The menu here is really well thought out and there is hardly a dish I would not think about ordering. I think the key is to order food to suit the mood and take it from there - I often see people over ordering so I'd advise taking it easy and order a couple of courses at a time as you won't be rushed to vacate your space. The punters are what you might expect in Borough Market. Plenty of foodie locals and tourists with an interesting smattering of randoms. The breakfast menu at the weekend looks great but you need to get there before 11am - I live in hope!! read more

Went there on a Saturday morning, 10:00am, by chance visiting Borough Market, spotted a free table and in. Turned out is is really a nice place, excellent breakfast, english with a spanish touch - e.g. Chorizo instead of breakfast sausage and manchego for the scrambled eggs. The coffe is a delight and made it in my best coffee list: Hernandez & Wells, Monmouth and Jamie's Recipease. Service is very friendly, no rush even though the place was packed. read more
