Oh my God, I had the most amazing meal here! First of all, I was so excited by the fact that it was tapas, which I did not know prior to going. There was three of us and we must've gotten at least half of the menu to share, but so worth it. Some of my favorites: the ravioli, barbecue chicken pizza, and the dessert chocolate spring rolls!! But seriously, everything we had was so good and we were So satisfied at the end. We also had some really delicious cocktails. We had a couple different service throughout the night, and they were all super friendly and great. We were there pretty late in the evening, and the vibe of the place was great too. There's a DJ playing some cool music and the place is crowded with people, but in a good way

This is a newer restaurant in Covent Garden and the inside decor is beautiful and modern, and the dishes are an interesting mix of Italian-Peruvian fusion. If you go with more adventurous eaters that all like to share small plates of food, then this is a decent bet. We went with a party of 3, which was a good amount of people, since the dishes are on the smaller side. And by small size, some of the dishes looked like they were made for a dollhouse or a child's food play set, because to share it would mean one bite each. Maybe Americans just eat more than people in London, but order accordingly -- I felt like we had to order a lot to be full. This is a nice place to come if you want to come on a date, or a nice evening out with friends who don't mind spending a little extra money, or you're traveling for work and can expense your meal. Tacos (£4-5 for 2 tacos) - There are 5 different variations on the tacos: salmon, tuna, scallop, spicy chicken and a vegetable one. The tacos are tiny and look like they could be for a toddler (if a toddler could eat raw fish). Don't assume 2 people can split a taco because they are small. They were good, but slightly pricey for the size. My favorite out of the bunch was the spicy chicken, followed by the salmon and/or tuna. Arancini (£8) - You can't go wrong with deep fried balls of risotto. I liked these a lot and would get them again. Burrata (£8) - Was pretty standard burrata, but nothing particularly mind-blowing. Good, but I don't know if I would get this again if I came back. Wild Mushroom & Ricotta Ravioli with Sage Butter (£7) - When they say ravioli on the menu, they should just say that there are 2 raviolis. With 3 people, this was a bit hard to share. I guess I thought maybe there would 3 or 4 ravioli, but I was wrong. It tasted fine, but I didn't think this was anything special. Seared Scallop Salad with Rocoto Dressing (£10) - 3 scallops on a bed of spinach and a rocoto dressing. The rocoto is pretty spicy, so beware if you have an aversion to spicy food. I didn't find the scallops to be particularly special. Salmon Skewers (£9) - Two small skewers of salmon with a sauce. I thought this was okay. Chocolate Caliente (£6) - Little spring rolls filled with warm chocolate and served with coconut ice cream and a passionfruit sauce. This is one of the best desserts I've had in a long time, I wish I hadn't needed to share it with 2 other people. The spring rolls were warm and the chocolate inside was delicious, and I love anything with passionfruit. It was the perfect mix of sweet and slightly sour (from the passionfruit) flavors, with lots of different textures. Would undoubtedly get this again and would highly recommend it. Overall, a good concept of different fusion flavors but this just fell flat for me. Other than the tacos (which was so tiny), arancini, and the chocolate caliente dessert, the other dishes were just okay to me and the dishes didn't seem to warrant the price they were charging. I'd come back here again for a dessert and a drink, but think I'd choose other places above this one in London.

We had such a nice meal at Monmouth today. Sitting outside in the street enjoying wonderful Sharing plates and a bottle of wine. We tried the tacos and the peppers (omg), margarita pizza so delicious. Service by the staff and especially our good friend Peter, was outstanding. Highly recommend if you're in Covent Garden area.

I didn't think it would be anything special. Why? Because it seems like everyone these days is following a trend--modern interiors, small plates, artisan food. And you know what they say about trendy: it's one step away from tacky. From the outside, I saw the modern interiors. But the moment we stepped inside, I realized those trendy characteristics were actually quite different up close. Also, our waiter was amazing. He gave us exceptional service all night. He explained the items on the menu without that irritating know-it-all tone. I told him I was a vegetarian and without skipping a beat, he said, "Oh great, we have wonderful vegetarian options." HALT. Can I tell you how refreshing it is to hear that? Incredibly so. After asking him for a few recommendations and thoroughly examining the interior of the restaurant, we got to the main event: our food. Jeez. Oh man. Just remembering how delightful that was--give me a second. Okay, I'm good now. To eat, we ordered: One mushroom ricotta ravioli - me Vegetable tacos - me Spinach and chicken risotto with sage butter - him Masala skewers of chicken - him Avocado corn and blackberry salad - me Bruschetta with three different kinds of cheese - us Shrimp ceviche - him For the rest of my review you can check out this post: http://thehonestshruth.com/stories/monmouth-kitchen-in-covent-garden/

Our experience at Monmouth was AMAZING and I am pleased this gem was near our apartment during our stay in Covent Garden. The creativity and quality of this restaurant blew us away. The menu is a mix of Italian options and Peruvian options- which sounded weird but ended up working out! They suggest trying a variety of items, and having 3 or so per person, so for our group of three we ordered 9 items! We enjoyed everything so much we ended up ordering two desserts to complete the meal. All are reviewed below! Burratta- fresh and creamy, this was delicious. I was surprised at how large the burratta portion was, but it was delicious. Just to beware, this doesn't come with anything it is just the cheese- but it stands on its own, its that delicious. Avocado & Corn Salad- fresh and full of flavor. The corn is the perfect texture, which is due to how fresh it is! The avocado is smooth and the blackberry dressing that this is tossed in, is perfect. I was afraid it was going to be too sweet but the flavor was excellent. Honestly- this is probably one of my favorite fruit dressings I've had because of the flavor and it wasn't too sugary. Trio of Bruschetta- The three pieces of bruschetta were tasty- the bread wasn't as crispy as I would have wanted, they need to toast it a bit longer. Toppings were great, one is classic with tomato, one has eggplant, one is spinach and cheese- we each tried them and thought they were tasty- but not our favorite! White Ragu Arrancini- four portions are served with this arrancini. Fried and filled with rich goodness, these are tasty! They are pretty creamy, so four is enough to each have one serving! Salmon & Jalapeno Taco- These tacos are TINY but jammed packed with flavor. The tacos are served in servings of two and can be a bite, or two! The salmon is mixed in with avocado and jalapeño and the flavor is perfect. Spicy for sure, but in the best way- the flavor of each element was present and really so good. Not going to fill you up, but definitely worth a try! Salmon Ceviche- deamed the FAVORITE dish of our meal. The salmon ceviche was impressive. The salmon was perfect and so fresh, its hard to explain the creamy texture of the salmon and the salsa on top, but together- perfection. This was one of the favorite items of the meal, and of our entire trip through England. Chicken Risotto- creamy and tasty! This is a great dish, it is rich and filling so a great addition to a larger grouping. It is so creamy and smooth and cooked perfectly. Small chunks of chicken are spread throughout and the texture of the dish is smooth. Good choice! Pasta with Tomato & Chili- this was probably our least favorite dish of the order, the fresh sauce was a bit bland, maybe a hint of salt or pepper. You could tell it was so fresh so a slight tweak would have made this another success. It wasn't bad- just didn't live up to the other spectacular options. Beef Tenderloin- thinly sliced, perfectly cooked and topped with a SPICY sauce. This is spicy- so it isn't for everyone but if you like perfectly cooked beef- order this dish. Pear Sensacion- named our favorite dessert of the trip- this was simple yet so tasty. The serving is tiny- but having ordered two desserts, we had two bites of each. The pear dessert had a fresh ice cream on top of a part tart and pistachio crumble- which is the best way I can describe the treat, but honestly GET THIS! Chocolate Spring Rolls with Passion Fruit Ice Cream- the light flaky spring rolls are filled with melted gooey chocolate- beware if you are wearing white or use caution- it tends to get everywhere when you take that first bite. The ice cream was tart and delicious! The vibe is trendy, the service was the BEST we have had during our entire stay in England and I would recommend trying this fantastic and unique restaurant when in London. A note- it can get pricey, but it is worth the splurge!

This restaurant is located in a neat area. I love the bar and they offer tasty drinks, I recommend the margarita. Only three stars because although the food was good, it wasn't amazing. We had several dishes to review but I'm only going to tell you our favorite which is the BBQ chicken flatbread and I was not a fan of the avocado and corn salad. If you cannot handle spicy foods you will not be able to enjoy many of the Peruvian dishes on the right side of the menu. The tacos are miniature but big in flavor.

Another great find in the craziness of piccadilly circus area. I was attended too perfectly, and the food was exceptional. Still remembering their signature lamb dish, stellar. Their food has some spice which is just the right amount, but be prepared a little.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The service was attentive and the food was fresh and flavorful. Definitely recommend the sliced beef tenderloin anticucho, chicken tacos, chicken anticucho, and the burrata. The Pera Sensacion dessert was delightful.

I came this lunch time during 12pm,god everything are so delicious. But everything are so tiny 味道好吃的不得了。however I sitll love it! I will say it's about almost 100persent of taste. 90persent about presentation! We love Italian food. 唯一缺点是老是爆需要提前预定位置!what can I say..good stuff need wait ......

FRIES WITH TRUFFLE CHEESE The fries weren't as crispy as I would've liked, but the soft bite similar to mashed potatoes was pretty good. The cheese itself really carried the rich flavors of the truffle without overwhelming your tastebuds. Such a decadent cheese. SALT AND PEPPER SQUID The squid meat itself wasn't over cooked which is easy to do and makes it feel like you're chewing on a tire. Not the case here. The squid was fried perfectly, nice and crispy first bite. The garlic aioli complimented the batter they used to fry the squid in, very tasty. PEKING DUCK LETTUCE WRAPS These lettuce wraps were the perfect two bites sized appetizers. Such a flavorful and well cooked duck. The cucumber salad and lettuce helped bring the intensity of flavors down so that you could enjoy every bite. There's a full bar, but service is a little slow and congested. Staff are really nice and friendly. The dart games are so involved where each player can have their selfie taken and name displayed on the board. You can compete as teams or against each other depending on your chosen game. At the end, there is a final game stats to show who won and a group photo to conclude all the fun. A fantastic way to test out your dart skills and have fun with your loved ones!

And it was loud. I guess technically it was a darts place and so there was a lot of excitement near the dartboard area. The bar staff were all buzzing about shaking their shakers and pouring drinks. It was a great vibe - apropos for a Friday night. Ok we got the little bit lychee drink (subbed vodka for gin) which was excellent with what looked like a dark dahlia floating on top. I wanted to try a British beer and got the magic rock saucery session pale ale (saying its name is like a built in sobriety test). The ale was definitely IPA but with a really clean finish. And because I'm a pig, ordered the fries with truffle cheese. Wow that was so so good! Shoestring fries with a heavy drizzle of truffle melted cheese. I can't really complain about the super loud music since it probably suited the main clientele and was really good (club versions of many 80s songs). So it looks like a really fun joint for the young locals with some older folks who maybe stumbled in like we did. Really nice bartenders and front staff. Thanks for not giving us a BS line to keep us out like the other place.

Came here for pre-theater anniversary dinner with my wife. The ambiance was somewhere between that of a trendy club and nice bar. There was a mad scientist vibe with the lights being industrial vibe and some metal decor. The music was thumpy and loud enough to remind you it was there. It made me feel a bit out-of-place as somebody well past my 20s, but also a bit cool or being there. You really come here for the drinks. We got the pipe dream, smokey old fashioned, honeypot picante, and one other I can't remember the name of, but which came in a flower pot. The pipe dream and smokey old fashioned were likely the best. Overall the drinks were more visually appealing than traditionally good and the visually appealing ones tended to have ingredients that weren't as top shelf and/or they were just too sweet. Not bad, but disappointing for what we'd hope. The food was the opposite. I had low expectations and the food wasn't amazing, but was better than average. We got the bao buns, crispy duck pancakes, panko halloumi, katsu curry, and hot honey pork tacos. They arranged for it all to come out in time for us to make our theater show, which was nice. The bao buns and pork tacos were probably the best. Neither blew me away, but both were solid. The katsu curry and halloumi were standard of what you might expect. The crispy duck pancakes was maybe as advertised, but it would have been nice to have some moistness or substance to the dug vs. it basically being crunchy salty bits of something. Overall, this wasn't a bad meal, but it wasn't quite what I was hoping for either. We may be back, but we'll probably try other things first.
