Greeted by this girl and she was rude and racist.

Before coming to London we did some research on places to go for night life and this was one of the places that was recommended. When we first got here we were told we needed reservations but if we came after 9pm they would be open to the public. So we left and came back around 930-10pm. When you first walk in there's a hostess table and once you pass them there was a line to go through security/ metal detectors. Then you take the elevators to the top where the bar is located. The hostesses there were so rude, racist, and condescending. Upon waking in one looked at my friend up and down and said what she had on wasn't appropriate because she didn't look "nice" enough and just letting us know but she will still get in. In line with us there were people wearing tennis shoes and workout tights and jeans! I noticed that she only said those things to people of color. While in line We asked a simple question of where the trash can was and got an eye roll with a correction of "it's called rubbish" from the other hostess. Being that I'm from LA and my sister lives in NYC I've seen my fair share of rooftops and swanky bars and this HA! Is NOT one of those places. The way the hostess treated people was as if they was such and exclusive and amazing joint. The floors were dirty and the decor was subpar. You can't even go outside on the balcony and enjoy the view it was roped off. Trust me when I say you won't be impressed with this place. I won't be coming back nor will I recommend this place to anyone I know that's visiting.

I miss this place so much. Whenever I think of London, Sky Garden definitely pops into mind. Definitely book a table in advance. You can't really just grab a table day of. The drinks always change but they are always good. They also have some light snacks available to order but there are two restaurants here you can book (in advance) that serve better, full courses. The views are incredible and the vibe, music, ambiance, etc are just my favorite. I always have a good time here and you will too!

Pretty awesome bar. Great views, great drinks, but with sub par service. Took about 10 minutes before we were greeted which is a no bueno in my book. I'm not sure if that's how things are done here, but it took a little too long. Still, this is an amazing place and you should make reservations in in advance to avoid the line and all that jazz. You can wait in line, and it might be worth it, but try to avoid it. Still, one of the most beautiful bars I've been to, and I've been to a few in my day. Also, live music! Can't go wrong with live music!

This place has probably one of the best views of London! I am so glad we were able to come here on our short trip to London. We were looking for places with a view of London and luckily, we were able to find this spot. Making a reservation was very easy online so I highly recommend making one before coming here. We arrived at 9am and it was a great time because by 10am, there was a line that wrapped around the building outside. The view here is pretty and they allow you to walk around the Sky Bar. You don't have to order anything here but we opted to grab some pastries to start off our morning. Their green tea here is REALLY good and hey, they use real tea leaves! :) Carrot cake was smooth and I enjoyed the consistency of it. Spend as much time as you want here and it's easy to grab a seat because not many people were there at 9am. I recommend to go early in the morning or probably later at night to avoid lines and crowds!

What a gorgeous space. Views of London - especially the London Bridge lit up at night - so you truly feel like you're on top of the world. My group only had some drinks but I'd be back just to have another "Jar of Passion," a mixture of cachaça, brown sugar, lime, passion fruit and pineapple juices. So delicious!

What a fantastic location! I came here for brunch with a friend, and we had gorgeous views of the City, including the Gherkin and the Tower Bridge. London had underwent a "heatwave" all week, and I arrived at the bar much hotter than I would have liked. But the garden is air conditioned, and the vast open space quickly cools you off. Brunch items include a wide range of pastries, fruits, and oatmeal. My friend ordered a lemonade and I tried a cocktail, which was made with cassis and cotton candy. While dinner reservations are hard to come by, I recommend brunch here for memorable views of London!

Visiting Sky Garden is a great free way to see all of London from above. Make sure you book your ticket on the Sky Garden website in advance and be prepared to walk through a metal detector before entering the garden. Sky Pod Bar is a great deal for drinks considering the view that comes with your purchase. Cocktails and wines may be in the £10-£16 range and bears are available for £6-£7. Although you are not allowed to bring drinks to the outside viewing area, there is plenty of seating indoors which allows you to see the 360 view of London. This is a beautiful spot for a date night if you would like to dress it up and the bar has entry without reservations after 9 pm. I highly recommend going if you are in the London area!

Drinks: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Decor & Style: 5/5 The drink selection is ok, and the beer selection is poor. Service is not great, not bad. I'm rating it 5 stars just for the view. You can't find a better bar view than this in London! When it gets late the crowd seems to get pretty young, FYI. There are plenty of great rooftop bars in London, however this one has the 360 view of the entire city! There is a very long line to get in the evening however, after 10 or 11 (i forget) there is no line at all!

We came here at night and the view was incredible! Nothing beats it really. The drinks were excellent and the snacks were great too. We really enjoyed walking around. The staff were extremely nice. It was very cold that night and they offered us heated blankets.

Wow what a view up here! Amazing panoramic views of London and best of all, entry is free. You have to make a reservation online if you want to come up here and you'll be able to choose a 1.5 hour time slot. We got 2.15 on a Tuesday, which happened to be a gorgeous sunny day with blue skies! Someone told me the Shard costs £30 to go up so this is definitely a better place to come. When you arrive you put your bags through an airport security style scanner and then you go up in the lift... The Sky Garden is basically the UK's highest garden. The actual garden itself isn't that impressive but it has that warm, humid, greenhouse feel. You don't really come here for the garden though, you come for the views of The Shard, Tower Bridge, The Gherkin...as far as the eye can see. The bar itself has a good selection of cocktails as well as wines, beers, champagne and prosecco. They also do light snacks like sandwiches and pastries. We ordered cocktails...my friend had the Chelsea Garden, while I had a cocktail of gin, chambord, soda and berries...can't remember the name now! The cocktails have really nice garnishes and were very refreshing. There was quite a queue at the bar but the bartenders are fairly speedy considering how much attention they put into making the drinks. It was quite busy but there were lots of tables so you just have to wait for someone to leave. If you walk up the stairs of the garden there are actually a couple of wooden stools so you could sit up there out of everyone's way and admire the views. I've been to a fair few attractions in London but this was my favourite, definitely worth it if you can pick a nice sunny day!

Came here to watch the sunset. Pretty view and probably a nice experience for a date, but overall thought the drinks were bad/overpriced and was annoyed that there was a pavilion but despite good weather, no one was allowed outside. Why have a pavilion if you're not going to allow guests to use it? Also the windows are relatively dirty so while views are indeed great from up there, I just kept thinking they needed someone to wipe the glass. Definitely won't be back but I guess it wasn't a horrible first and only tourist experience. I did like that they overlay subtle decals identifying key monuments/architecture (eg bridges, buildings etc) on the various windows.

The five is for the view only. Visited in November. It wasn't particularly chilly but it was cold there - they warn you about that on their website. I only had water but was informed that the beer is ever so slightly overpriced. If you're a tourist you have to visit here to see the amazing views!!

The view , which is really why we are here

This review will be very similar to the review of The Sky Garden. This is due to the bar being an integral but separate part of the garden and the only way to get to the bar (unless you work in the building) is to get tickets to the Sky Garden. Lets Start with the really Good. The view is amazing, far better than top of the Shard, tickets are free and when you are up there you can sip really nice cocktails from the bar as London feels ever so serene below you. They don't let too many in at a time so the place is quiet. There is basic food from the the bar which is nice and well priced. A typical (and beautiful) Panini is about £4.50 and a gin and champagne cocktail about £11. If you remember you're playing for the view and ambience the price really isn't bad. Now for the Bad. The staff are still ironing out the service. I had to wait quite some time for a small order which I had to later get from the bar as I think they were too rushed off their feet. They also seemed to have quite a bit of teething trouble with the payments systems taking about 10 minutes to actually pay. The final thing was that it was really cold, and I mean really cold, cold enough for the servers to wear jumpers and for us to feel that it was too cold for us to stay. Now the (albeit brief) Ugly. The only way of getting to the bar is through a an online free reservation which has now been booked out for three months. Failing that you either have to work there or have a reservation in one of the two restaurants (in which case I doubt youd be going to the bar) Unfortunately the website and booking process is an utter shambles. The tickets are also named and they said you needed ID to enter. They didn't enforce this at the door but when I emailed they were adamant that the people on the ticket had to be the people entering. Added to that when demand for tickets goes down you will have to book three days in advance which for better or worse makes a trip require some planning. I think that once they iron out all the problems this place is easily one of the most mind blowing places in London though mostly for the Sky Garden. Currently they need to get the service right and turn up the temperature. After that this place would be a perfect place a Saturday afternoon drink gazing over the city.

The views are incredible,…read morethe space itself is striking, and on paper it promises that perfect London mix of skyline, late-night energy, and elevated comfort food. Unfortunately, our experience was soured before it even had a chance to begin. My girlfriend and I walked in excited, completely amicable, simply hoping to head upstairs for a bite and drinks. We were greeted by the doorman with an immediate, dismissive "Are you good?" -- not in a welcoming or helpful tone, but in a way that felt skeptical and unnecessarily confrontational. There was no warmth, no "welcome in," no attempt at hospitality. It immediately set an uncomfortable tone. He then proceeded to call upstairs as though he were doing us some sort of favor just by allowing us to go up. The entire interaction felt transactional and judgmental rather than gracious. First impressions matter, especially at a place that positions itself as a premium dining destination. Hospitality begins at the door, not at the table. When we finally made it upstairs, the room was filled with visibly drunk, rowdy groups -- which only made the earlier attitude feel even more misplaced. If that environment is acceptable (and profitable), then two polite guests looking for drinks and food shouldn't be met with suspicion at the entrance. By that point, the damage was done. The initial interaction had already rubbed us the wrong way, and the energy upstairs didn't help. We ultimately decided to leave before even sitting at our table. That's how strongly the first impression impacted us. It's difficult to justify staying somewhere when you don't feel genuinely welcomed from the outset. Duck & Waffle has the potential to be memorable for all the right reasons. But someone representing the brand at the very front needs to understand that hospitality isn't optional -- it's foundational. A simple, respectful welcome would have changed everything. I hope management takes this seriously, because no guest should feel judged or dismissed before they even step inside.

We had a party of 13 so I understand there would be somewhat of a wait and that the whole Dining experience might take a while. We dined on a Tuesday night and the place was quite busy! It took at least 30 minutes from sitting down to get our drinks and another 10 on top of that for them to bring out some bottles of water. It seemed like our server was training someone new. They could have been more efficient, but it took a long time for them both to go around the table and enter in our orders. We were at a work after hours function so we all ordered from the 3 courses for 45 quid option. All of the starters sounded good, but I was slightly disappointed in the drunken dumplings as there were only 2, but the presentation was cool with them pouring the broth into the bowl at the table. I wish I had ordered the cheddar and shrimp toasties as they looked quite good! This place has awesome & fun cocktails, hence the Alchemist name. I didn't realize this at first so ordered a Mai Tai which was not nearly as exciting as some of what my colleagues ordered. Second time around I ordered the red zombie which came out smoking with a test tube vial of absinthe to add in! Definitely cool, but also a bit strong. I had the ribeye steak for my main. It was delicious! The cauliflower and potatoes very good too. Had the next level chocolate brownie for dessert. My only thought is it could have used a bigger scoop of ice cream compared to the size of the brownie but it was delicious! So good, in fact, that I had to finish every last crumb.
