Located beneath Tower Bridge around the corner from the Engine Rooms and gift shop lies the Vault 1892. It's a splendid, tunnel-shaped bar that offers plenty of pints and cocktails while enjoying ground-level views of the River Thames. The view of the River Thames at the ground level is lovely and a nice contrast from being high from the skyway on top of Tower Bridge. We enjoyed spritzes and Pimm's Cup as we looked out to the west on the Thames. It is quite breezy if you are sitting by the windows and door that can theoretically go outside but it is generally closed off for patrons so no one falls into the water. Unless you intend to go down to the Engine Rooms, you may not know that Vault exists but if you have that planned, it is easy to find and access. It's certainly a treasured spot to check out if you have it on your radar. read more

Great pub right under Tower Bridge. It was a bucket list visit for us, and I'm glad we were able to visit. It has a loo, which was very convenient. Since it was late and the wind was blowing we were not able to go onto the deck / balcony but the views were nonetheless spectacular. read more

Fun speakeasy type pub under the base of the Tower Bridge to have a pint or two, and bite to eat. Full bar and a nice selection of beers to choose from. It's a small space with limited seating but has a chill vibe and friendly bartenders along with a view of the Thames River. Interesting pictures hang on the walls to check out. We dropped in to relax a bit after walking over the bridge taking some pictures of it. A few Camden Hells lagers hit the spot and we were back on our way. read more

I just happened to stumble upon this bar, hidden under the bridge.. with a small bar and limited seats inside. Cute small bathroom, duck your head in walkway. But they do have a patio with more seating outside just past the doorway with amazing views of the tower bridge! You can watch boats sail by , warm breeze going by too. I had a London pale ale light refreshing. Fish m chips were crispy and fulfilling. Great place to hangout at, especially if the weather is good. read more

Fun place to stop for a drink! Located right under the Tower Bridge. Super neat but also super tiny inside. There are only a couple of tables up river the windows overlooking the river so don't expect you will have the perfect view. Service was fast and drinks were good. We didn't eat but people all around us had food and it all actually looked pretty good. read more

We heard this was a cool little spot, so we came in, no reservations. The tables at the window were reserved, but the tables close to the door were available. They also have a patio off to the side right by the water. You order at the bar and then they bring you the food. Don't be in a hurry, because the experience and food were totally worth it. Just relax and enjoy your beverage. We had the fish and chips and the salad. So good! We will def be back! read more

A small pub close to the Tower Bridge. I didn't see it last time when I was in London. Saw it on Facebook this time. Fish and chips were $19 pounds. Kind of expensive for one small piece of fish. A lot of beer selection. Not too many seats indoor but they do have outdoor seating. Try to get there before noon so you'll have better chance to get a table inside. After walking around for a bit we wanted to take a break & grab some drinks, food something easy. Hubby found this place, gotta love the name we came in & we're seated right away. Drinks we got New castle & Abbot beers, both good nice tall glass. Also tried the Chicken Caesar wrap, it was very good, nice taste w some fries nice & crispy. The place is not very big inside but it has some nice views of the water right under the bridge. it was a nice day so the views were nice & clear. This was more of a self serve type of place u order at the bar, pay & they would bring the food to our table. Price wise not bad, we enjoyed our drinks & after recharging our legs we were off to the next location. read more

Small and expensive with amazing views of Tower Bridge. The crew is very friendly and carries big smiles at all times. Beware of extremely hot water in the bathrooms that will melt your hands. The locks don't work but you'll manage. Food is OK and the amazing view of the iconic Tower Bridge on a beautiful day will counter the high cost of food. This is a cute little bar right under the Tower Bridge - literally! You can sit inside and almost feel like you're on the water, watching boats and the occasional swan drift by. It makes for a pleasant place to grab a pint and linger. They have outside seating too if the weather is good. We only ordered one food item to snack on - the fried calamari. It was pretty good though unexpected...they were four huge rings, like onion rings, not the smaller rings I'm used to. But still, tasty, and nice and hot and fresh from the fryer. We only stayed for one drink. It's a long, narrow bar with windows that open out onto the Thames and some outside space. The decor is pretty cold - lots of cheap light pine furniture and exposed brick. The redeeming feature is that there are tables at the back which are next to floor - ceiling windows, affording some brilliant views of the river. The bar staff were disorganised, the margaritas were hideous (way too sweet) and although it was busy, there wasn't a great atmosphere. There's only so much a fab view will make up for! read more

The view was fantastic and the fish and chips were great. I thought this would be a fairly pricey tourist trap but it turned out to be one of our better meals on our trip. They had a nice patio outside with a fantastic view. I thought we would end up with an expensive and tiny plate of fish and chips but they were really good. The price was about 11 pounds which I thought was high but it was a huge piece of fish and nice and buttery and crispy. Their hummus was only ok in my opinion but I haven't found a good humus plate outside the middle east yet. As a tip, you order inside and they will bring the food to your table outside. read more

An absolutely wonderful place for lunch after touring the Tower Bridge. It is conveniently located right outside the last part of the tour - "the Boiler Rooms". On a beautiful day it is amazing to sit outside and enjoy their fabulous Fish & Chips and an ice cold beer. You sit along the river Thames and have a spectacular view of the Tower Bridge. We took the entire family and the waitress/bartender was amazing to my little ones. She made them their own special drink as my 2 year old really wanted some of my wife's alcoholic drink! :-) We ate fish and chips at several places during our stay and this was hands down the best. Also got their chicken pizza for the kids and they loved it. Definitely four stars for location, ambiance, service, taste, and value! read more

Was it the best food and drinks we had on our 10 day holiday in the U.K.? No. But as an American tourist it was really cool to have a view from under the Tower Bridge. For the novelty sake of it alone I would recommend visiting for a beer or two when in the area. read more

We came here after touring the Tower of London and crossing the Tower Bridge. We just stumbled across it so decided to come in for a cool brew. I have to say they had a very good selection of beer. I was very pleased with my two selections. I did not try any of the food items but they did look like they would be good also. Of of the best reasons to come here though is the view of the Thames. Literally a hole in the wall or in this case some space under the Tower Bridge it was a nice little stop for a cold beer and some onion rings which were done in an English style beer ? Batter that was tasty with the ranch aside. The fish and chips were tasty and I found the sweet potato soup excellent. After touring the Tower Bridge we grabbed a quick snack here. Because we were in such a hurry to go, I didn't get the chance to take pictures or write notes. I do not remember being shocked by bad service or prices at all. I do wish I had been able to give a better review, but I just didn't have time to take it all in. The window seats overlooking the Thames are really the stars of the shows here, you are practically on the river. Service was good and efficient and my rather sloppy (due to guacamole, so I'm not complaining) club sandwich was very tasty although I was starving so perhaps was more inclined to enjoy than usual. Bangers and mash looked really good too though. At around £8 for a main it's not a place you'd come for lunch everyday but great for a catch up with a friend or if your visit to Tower Bridge has made you hungry. read more

My food goal in visiting London was simply to find a great plate of fish and chips. Unfortunately, I tried a few and they weren't good at all. My fiancee and I stopped in here for lunch after visiting the Tower of London and we were very pleasantly surprised. My fish and chips were absolutely fantastic and I was so happy to finally taste a good plate of them. My fiancee got fajitas and she loved them as well. We got a cider and a local beer as well, both of which were very good. Pair the yummy food with the fact that you get a great view of the Thames and that you're eating underneath Tower Bridge and you have the recipe for a pretty great meal. The novelty of this pub is it's location, under Tower Bridge with florr to ceiling windows. Otherwise it's a nice but fairly standard bar. Staff are helpful. I was fortuante to get there early evening on a quiet day. It made for a very relaxing venue for a glass of wine. read more

I have been stoping by this palce for almost a decade when passing through London for a pint of Leffe and some fish & chips. One of my world wide favorites! However this time they were out of 3 of their 9 draft beers including Leffe. Maybe new ownership/management planning problem around and operations. This is a very small place under the bridge. My family and I stopped here for a snack - plates of meats and cheeses, along with a couple of beers - and it really hit the spot. The location is nice, the view at night is awesome(but oy when you're having your pint outside). But that's pretty much it. I find the prices way to high for the low carbonated beer that they serve. Also - if you are sitting close to the windows by the entrance - you really must be tiny and skinny, because it's almost impossible to take a seat without having to move the table. Everyone is taking pictures of the handle for the Czech lager called 'Kozel' - maybe this is the attraction over there. That's not a bad thing, just found it curious. The bartender seemed nice, but he didn't do much at all, so the impression there is just general. What I didn't like most and that's why they get the 3 stars (I would rather say two and a half, but they get 3 because of the lovely view & the cute Halloween decoration) is thay there is no ashtray outside. I had to walk like 15-20m just to throw my bud in the closest bin. This could be a healthy reminder that smoking is not cool and tolerated, but still - if one is too lazy to walk to the bin and outside there are 10, not 2 people smoking.. You can imagine what it would be. To sum up - they have a lot to improve, just need to invest some money and imagination. read more
