Bravas tapas was perhaps one of the best meals I've had in my entire life, and I do not say that lightly. We stumbled in on a whim, just looking for a good place to grab a bite to eat for dinner, and found a restaurant where everything was incredible. You cannot go wrong. The Patas bravas was really good, though simple. It was presented in a really cool way, with a dipping sauce on the side. The spinach croquettes were so tasty and cheesy. The yellowtail sashimi was really refreshing. The braised short rib was INCREDIBLE- so tender and flavorful. With great onion rings. The best thing we ate, by far, was the grilled octopus. It was perfectly tender and crispy at the same time. It had such good flavor and such a good sauce. It was one of the best things I've ever eaten. The waiter was really great, we were in between a few items and he actually decided to surprise us and picked some items for us. The aperol spritz was also really tasty and well balanced! We arrived at Bravas Tapas for our 5:30 PM reservation on a particularly hot day. The location by the docks is undeniably charming, but the indoor dining space was uncomfortably warm. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't have full air conditioning--only a few lucky seats are positioned near the AC unit. We even brought portable fans, which ended up being necessary as the sun set directly into the restaurant's glass frontage, heating things up quickly. We ordered a broad selection of tapas: octopus, the salmon-wrapped sweet potato crisp, fennel salad, pork belly, spinach balls, and the bravas potatoes. The food was hit and miss. The pork belly was the highlight--flavorful and tender with a sweet glaze. However, other dishes fell flat. The fennel salad surprisingly came with canned pineapple, the spinach balls tasted like they were made with frozen spinach, and the bravas potatoes were essentially frozen fries--not what you'd expect from a place with this kind of setting and pricing. Service started out fine but slowed down significantly over the course of the meal. A couple of our dishes were forgotten entirely, and the heat made the wait feel even longer. Overall, Bravas Tapas had its moments, but between the uneven food quality, heat, and spotty service, it left us more frustrated than satisfied. The restaurant sits in front of a pier where small boats were docked. We were seated right away and given menus. We ordered oysters, roasted potatoes, pork belly, and short ribs. The oysters were very fresh. The roasted potatoes dipped in the sauce was savory and delicious. The pork belly melted in your mouth. The short rib was tender and filling. So glad I stumbled upon this place solo! I had a night in London to explore by myself, and was looking for somewhere to sit down enjoy a drink and some good food, and Bravas Tapas exceeded my expectations! I sat at the bar which gives you a great view of the port with all the docked boats. To drink, I had the espresso martini- and this was made to perfection! To eat, I asked for recommendations since all of it looked so good, and they told me to not miss on the Fresh Salmon 'Rulada'. I also ordered the Croquetas and Morcillas de Burgos Sliders. All of this was so good- but that Salmon dish was out of this world! The texture with the creamy sauce and the crunchy sweet potato, and the flavors pairing together so nicely.. I'm moving to the area and am on a mission to find some of my favorite foods. Tapas seemed like a good place to start. I came on Sunday evening and was sat right away. I had the cheese plate, pork belly, patatas bravas and sangria. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the cheese plate (£13). In the US we'd get like 2 pieces of cheese for that price. Imagine my determination to visit this restaurant when a friend all the way back home in NYC told me about it. "It's my favorite restaurant in the world and you must eat there!" Alright, I made it happen. I stopped by on a Monday night to discover an adorable little nautical restaurant by the docks, filled with an older, professional, buzzing crowd. Despite the popularity, it was pretty easy to grab a table. I shared six dishes: Spanish croquettes, which I found to be so creamy and tasty and had the best green sauce, the prawns, which were meh to me because they were so deeply fried, the lamb chops, which were two pieces of very well cooked meat, the shishito peppers, which were a big portion, but overly salted, the beef short rib, which was absolutely friggin' out-of-this-world, and the Malaguena salad, which was super simple, yet different and refreshing. If I were to choose three to recommend, it'd be the beef, the mango salad, and the lamb chops. Service was your standard professional wait staff. They were quick and attentive. The quality of the food and the chic ambiance make this a great restaurant. The prices are reasonable, too. I just wish some of the dishes had more of a special something to them, but everything was good and I don't think this will disappoint if you're looking for a trendy tapas meal. read more

As folks from the US we don't typically have all of the add on they did -- made a world of difference. We found Bravas Tapas here on Yelp. This was out first meal in London and it was exceptional. My son, the chef, was very impressed withe the sauces, the presentation and the nice variety on the menu. The variety of Spanish wines by the glass were also nicely curated. The staff was friendly and professional. It was a nice area to stroll around after our meal. This place was a Yelp find and I loved it! All of the food is tapas style which was great because we got to try most of the menu! We had most of the items on the vegetarian menu and I also ordered the salmon. We ordered the tomato bruschetta, mushroom bisque, patatas, spinach croquettas, salmon, and blistered peppers. We really loved everything except the peppers - they were made well but need some flavor, at least salt. The service was superb from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. They even gave us a cute candle lit table. Just so you know, the restaurant is located on the dock, so if you take an Uber you won't be able to get dropped off right in front. Spinach Croquettes - yes, definitely must try this! Comes with three stuffed with spinach. Very unique and delicious flavor! Prime Rib with onion rings - I would pass on this dish. Meat was soft and juicy but flavorless. Sliders - These were good! Cheese board - didn't love the fig and berries that come with the board, but cheeses and jam were good. They really don't explain the cheeses. Just dropped the board at our tackle and left. Even when we asked what was what, the waiter said he didn't know. To get there is a bit of one, due to the St. Katherine Dock quays with the lovely boats, yet it's definitive place with striking signage. There is outside dining, but chilly nights are challenging in the quay. The menu is rich with excitement for your tastebuds, and regardless of whatever else you order, get the BRAVA paprika'd potatoes with a wonder- filled tomato dip. A jug of sangria will do well for the evening. The octopus is tender and perfectly grilled, while the lamb chops are heavenly (tender, off the bone with a hint of Morocco spice'd air). I sampled three dishes at this establishment for dinner, along with a glass of Spanish white wine. The dishes--patatas bravas; grilled padrón chiles; gambas al ajillo--were all very good indeed, though the prawns took quite some time to be served. I especially like the way they serve the potatoes, with a side dish of romesco sauce and a whipped aioli in the centre. The evening would have been a thorough delight were it not so stuffy and hot inside the restaurant (without a booking, and as a solo diner, I was not afforded a seat outside). Went here for a midweek dinner and place was quite crowded. Sat at the bar as I was solo and there were not any tables. Ordered a glass of Puerta Vieja Rioja which I quite enjoyed. Next up was the food; I got a bunch of Tapas which were hit or miss though mostly hit. First up was jar of pickles and olives. Very good. Also pan con tomate which was good. Star of the show was the short ribs. Anchovies were nice. Only issues were bread could have been better and the salmon dish was a bit overwhelmed by the aioli and was quite salty. Had a really great dinner at Bravas Tapas last week. We had a reservation for early evening, and our party was seated immediately upon arriving at the restaurant. We ordered several tapas, including the blue cheese croquettes, blistered padron peppers, brava potatoes, the pan con tomate, a spicy shrimp dish, the lamb chops, beef carpaccio and the galician beef short rib. The croquettes were my least favorite; blue cheese in certain forms is definitely an acquired taste. My most favorite dish were the lamb chops. They were cooked perfectly, and extremely flavorful. Now, what really put this meal over the edge for me was the dessert. Since we were a party of four, we opted to try each dessert offered on the menu that night. Get the Torrija!!! The caramelized brioche pudding with passion fruit sorbet!! The other two desserts were really really good, an almond-like cake with a cherry sorbet and fresh mascerated strawberries with white chocolate that came in a pretty jug like bowl, but back to the brioche pudding. It was amazing! Just the right balance of textures and flavors. Absolutely heavenly and one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. read more

Great TAPAS place with a nice twist to every dish, more like a Michelin star tapas to me... I've tried a couple of their signature dishes and was pleasantly surprised, with extra points to the unique salmon rolls (crunchy filling on truffle spice), spicy yellowtail sashimi (which was a special), as well as the standard dishes (potato's, fried spinach balls, and fresh anchovies). We didn't have reservations and the place gets busy! Its almost chaotic busy with the servers and the close seating. We were seated at a small table near the bar but that suited us just fine. We ordered 5 tapas for 2 people and it was more than enough food. My favorites were the Bravas potatoes (they provide the potatoes separate from the sauce so you dip your own). The sauce was so good. I wish I could take the sauce home (yes, that good). Also highly enjoyed the Porkbelly and the Short Rib with crispy onion. Very flavorful and tasty. This place is nestled in the harbor area adjacent to the Tower of London and London Bridge! The area alone is great to walk at night and enjoy the cityscape. We came here on a Saturday night and did not have a reservation. The only available area was the bar and it did not disappoint. The waitress quickly brought us menus and took our order. Started off with a pint of Estrella Dam from their draft and it complimented our order of Patatas Bravas-My wife enjoyed her Sangria! We ordered the Roasted Chiles with a hint of salt-very simple but tasty (not spicy at all). The fish fillet was tender on a bed of roasted tomatoes and it complimented our tomato bread.
