    Awful Waffle Fries

We watched a playoff football game here and it was really busy. We were able to snag a table during happy hour. The waitresses were spread pretty thin but she was still able to help us out quickly when we flagged her down. We order off the happy hour menu. The awful fries were delicious but definitely way too spicy once we got to the peppers. So we ordered the loaded fries to try to balance everything out. Fries were what you would expect, good but nothing crazy. Drinks were pretty good and a good place to watch the game

Just had burgers and some drinks. This bar is at the bottom of our building. First night here, tired and hungry and ordered the funguy burger and loaded fries. The burger was very good but the bun overpowered the burger. Brioche bun which is my favorite bun but way too big. The burger itself was good but not enough of their sauce. Loaded fired were good but soggy. Drinks were good and generous pours. All in all good but very pricey but expected at the hotel.

The drinks here are amazing. They were fast with service and have a few drinks that are off the menu. I really enjoyed my drink. The band playing was enjoyable as well.

The Tapa Bar is such a great place to have a drink and/or grab a quick bite to eat any time of the day. This little bar is located o the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort just past the check in (almost centered in the resort). They offer both bar and table seating, depending what mood or company you have. It is very lively, since it's located next to one of the resorts small pool, but also has live entertainment every evening. This is kid friendly, so long as they sit at the available tables. It is a full bar offering a variety of local beers and traditional domestic and imports. While away from home, I have to try those beers that are local to the area and not available near home. The bartenders can mix up anything you ask for, or you may choose from their unique cocktails. David is one of the Tapa Bar bartenders that works here (but you can also find him filling in at other bars within the resort). He is very friendly and, when not too busy, will spike up a conversation with you. I can't end the review without talking about their food. They offer a small menu of food and appetizers. I tried their burger and fries. Although it was simple, it had great flavor. Be aware of the birds that perch around the area. They seem to always be watching. If you leave your food unattended, they will know and swoop in! When they say "Please Don't Feed The Birds" they mean it.

Finally got to take my daughter here to this resort with her bestie and besties mom! We went every night and enjoyed the live music so much. Their eagle fries are amazing and the drinks are pretty good too! The women serving were all wonderful!!

Great experience here while on vacation. Got the loaded fries and they were good. Definitely bar food but that's not a bad thing. It is a large portion and flavorful. Service was a little slow and our waiter was a little too interested in the tv. The dining is outdoors and the weather was excellent. For a quick bite out then on your list.

Came here 9:00sh pm, listening to their live music and to grab a beer and pupu's. Nice menu with a variety for all. Shared a pizza and Buffalo wings. Food is meh, tastes liked everything came out of the freezer. Service was nice, band was great. Fun just to hang out with friends and cousins. A chill place!

Great to unwind after a full day on tour. Great food and superb frozen daiquiris, mine was made with passion fruit. The place is as centrally located in the Hilton Village as it could be. Great as a rendezvous point with friends. Yes, it's not cheap. Drinks are about 15.00. But that's the going price in a luxury resort. if I had wanted Walmart pricing, I wouldn't have gone on vacation. As it is, we very much enjoyed it.

Showed up for Happy Hour (3-5pm) Labor Day weekend, but was informed that the Happy Hour specials were not being offered during the union strike. My server was super nice and got my drinks quickly despite the circumstances. Hilton had to pivot quickly for food service with CJ's and Round Table pizza serving their menus. Was able to get a table by the pool. The pina colada was refreshing, and the Mai Tai was strong. Even though service was a little slow, everyone was friendly and professional. Would definitely come back when things go back to normal and visit at night during live music. This was the place to be on hotel premises. Thanks for the afternoon cocktails after a long hula festival weekend.

This is a good bar to start when at the Hilton Hawaii Village. It's right under the Tapa Tower and pool. It's a nice big outside bar area with a stage. it's seat yourself. You will be greeted promptly by one of the waitstaff. The service is friendly and pretty fast. We had a few drinks and shared a cheese pizza. Serving size was good for the pizza that both of us could easily share. The food is good for resort pool food. Plan accordingly for resort prices. Lots of folks in pool gear and that works with the ambience. Overall a good experience and recommended while visiting/staying HHV.

I don't like pâté (my wife) but I'm now a fan. The grilled octopus was heavenly, like a steak, but more delicate. Our final main was the seafood Paella. Amazing. Tip: scrape that disk to get the burned bits of rice on the side. It really brings out the flavor. Service-wise - our server was amazing. Always there, but never intrusive. Located in Waikiki along Lewers Street near Kuhio Ave. It's on the first floor sharing the same building with Oyster Hale and Genius Lounge. They don't have any affiliation with any parking garages, you're on your own. The inside is surprisingly big and spacious with bar and outdoor seatings, and high ceilings in the main dining room. The main theme is Spanish Tapas with mostly small or bite size dishes with a few paella and main entrees. Everything sounded good! "Pinchos" dishes is really just one bite. The Smoked Salmon was nothing special. It ate like a normal salmon with cream cheese. The other flavors such as dill, pink peppercorn, and orange did not come out. The Buñuelos Butterfish Fritter were good. Light, airy, doughy! nicely fried and seasoned. Didn't really taste much butterfish. The Tapas were a generous amount! The Shrimp Ajillo was flavorful with paprika and garlic. Shrimp was cooked well. The spice didn't come out from the dried chili peppers. The best was the Housemade Baguette! Warm, soft inside, crunchy outside. Better than at Vietnamese restaurants! Unfortunately, the dish and sauce was too salty--even for a person who likes more taste. The Octopus Ala Gallega was very good. Nicely grilled octopus to tender with a nice charred taste. Just needed some salt. Potatoes were good. Chimichurri sauce was flavorful. Generous amount of olive oil. The Uni & Crab Pasta was all right. I've had better. The spaghetti was a touch too Al dente. The flavor was very one note with the rich cream sauce and uni. There wasn't the sweetness from the crab. The cherry tomato was just there to be there for a bite. Would have been nice to get some acidity and sweetness throughout the dish. The Seafood Paella was very basic. Very disappointed with zero char on the rice. What's the point of the pan? It definitely needed higher heat. Everything ate like it was covered and simmered on low heat until the seafood was cooked. Very simple. The Ube Basque Cheesecake was good. Not too sweet, not too much Ube flavor with a light custard-like interior. Overall, this was a decent meal. All the dishes were beautifully presented, but needed some seasoning adjustments. Don't think I'll order the same dishes next time. The service was excellent. Very friendly, information, and attentive server. Comfortable dining area. Unfortunate it has no parking affiliation. I'll definitely comeback for their Housemade Baguette!

I've never had any of their "real" food outside of the charcuterie, so that just gives me a reason to come back some time and try. The Gouda added this rich, slightly smoky creaminess that made it feel a little more elevated than your standard burger. Every bite was messy in the best way, and the bun held up like a champ. The fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and impossible to stop eating. You know they're good when you keep reaching for "just one more" and suddenly they're gone. We also got the fried calamari and it was perfectly golden and tender, not rubbery at all. Light, crispy coating and super snackable -- especially dipped in the sauce. But the sleeper hit? The smoked ahi with lavosh. So flavorful and fresh, with that smoky richness balanced by the crisp lavosh. It felt light but still packed with taste -- a perfect contrast to the heavier fried stuff. Honestly, everything hit. Great mix of indulgent and fresh, and I'd order this exact combo again without hesitation.

We stopped in during their happy hour from 3-5 PM, and it immediately stood out as an ideal after-work pau hana or easy date-night spot. The space is relaxed and inviting, with a calm, tucked-away feel that makes you forget you're inside a hotel. The happy hour menu is impressively priced, with starters beginning at just $6, yet everything feels thoughtfully prepared and elevated. Highlights included the toasted bread with sun-dried tomato pistou -- warm, crisp toast paired with a deeply savory, herbaceous spread that's simple but incredibly satisfying. The mini poke bowl was fresh and well-balanced, showcasing clean flavors and quality fish without being overly heavy. The fish tacos delivered exactly what you want: crispy island fish, bright flavors, and a great balance of texture. We also tried the fish and chips, featuring lightly fried island fish, hot fries, and a creamy house remoulade that tied the dish together beautifully. The standout for us was the empanadas -- flaky, crisp pastry filled with tender braised beef and potato, finished with a bold aji rojo sauce that added just the right amount of depth and gentle heat. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, and the overall vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. Whether you're looking for a low-key happy hour, a casual date spot, or a place to unwind after work, this is a hidden gem worth seeking out. Pro tip: Arrive early for happy hour -- once more people discover this spot, it won't stay quiet for long.
