    Mango Sunrise and Lychee Sunset

Came to Mai Tai's to experience their Happy Hour They have $10 specialty drinks and half off appetizers. Open seating when we arrived and sat on a comfy couch in their open air restaurant. Really able to get into the vacation vibe here. Our server came by right away and brought us table service ware. Came back in a few minutes to take our drink order. Delivered our drinks and took our food order. So efficient and friendly to boot! You can see the servers working their butts off and not wasting effort or standing around. She came by at least half a dozen times to ask how things are going. We ordered... Lilikoi Mojito Original Mai Tai Fried Calamari Smashed burger sliders Mango Sunrise Lychee Sunset Happy hour drinks are not strong but super tasty and refreshing! Cheers to the bartenders! Loved the Lilikoi Mojito and the original Mai Tai was spot on. Pupus menu is half off so everything is a super good value. We had the Smashed beef sliders and the Fried Calamari and fries. Smash Burgers were good. Brioche buns with tomato and onion sauce melted cheese and lettuce. The calamari was excellent. Lightly breaded and fried to a light golden brown crust. Served with a cocktail and siracha mayo dipping sauce which was my favorite. Surprisingly the fries were fantastic. Around 4:00 the live music started and we did not know what to expect. Hoping it wasn't going to be loud obnoxious music. Happily it was solo artist singing local folk music which was very pleasing and comforting. Raised the ambiance dramatically and appreciated Glad we chose to come here for a relaxing afternoon.

First time here, open seating. We originally got there and sat. We waited for a long time for a server to come, although it was really busy she walked by us about four times and never stopped to to see how we were doing or if we want to order some drinks. The service was a little bit slow at first, some chairs and a table opened up closer to the bar so we moved, and she finally stopped by our table. We went at happy hour so it was 50% off the appetizer list and some of the drinks were only $10 We ordered a round of drink drinks and pour appetizers, buffalo chicken sandwiches , calamari and smashed burgers were great , the pepperoni pizza was not good. No flavor and just very greasy. But for 50% off the appetizers, it wasn't bad. Very noisy and crowded.

Went to happy hour with friends and it was OK. The pupus were 50% off, which was a good deal. I found a sliders to be decent. The problem, however, was the beer. It wasn't very cold and a little flat. My first choice was a blue moon, which wasn't very cold and it was flat. The second was a long board, but which was a little colder, but not as cold was other places. At least it wasn't flat. Service was fine, but not the 20, 22 and 25%. They have on their charge machine. Moore 15 to 18%.

After dinner, my girlfriend, her cousins, and I went to Mai Tais. They have security at the front to check IDs and give you a stamp. When you enter, you just pick your own table and sit down and the waitress came to us right away and asked what kind of drinks we wanted before we really got a chance to look at the menu. Shortly after another waitress asked us again and we barely looked at the menu. So I felt a little rushed (it's a Monday and it wasn't as busy). The drinks were like $13 a drink so not bad. I ordered the mango chili blended drink and the others got the lychee sunset and mango sunrise. All the drinks were good. My drink was sour and then had that nice kick to it, all which I liked. I would order the same thing again when I go back. The ambiance was nice. They have live music playing, which I enjoy. They also have small TVs at the bar area playing sports. So I'm sure during football season or basketball season, it's a go to spot to watch the games. Overall had a good time.

Had a large group event at Mai Tai's Grill & Bar on a Monday during happy hour (4:00pm-7:00pm). It's located on the 4th floor of the Ala Moana Center, open air style next to a California Pizza Kitchen. Happy hour included $10.00 USD specialty drinks, $2.00 off beer pints and 50% off 6 food options. Live music was enjoyable (musician did two sets) and there's plenty of TV's showing hockey and football. Favourite HH drink was the lychee sunset, but tried several others. The HH food wasn't particularly memorable. Took bites of the chicken quesadilla ($10.00 USD), French fries ($6.00 USD), edamame ($6.00 USD), garlic shrimp ($12.00 USD), chips & salsa ($5.50 USD) and pepperoni pizza ($7.50 USD).

Mai Tai's never disappoints with fabulous food and service. This time we took our son who loved their chicken sandwich with fries and Tamarin kept his Coke Zero filled before his last sips emptied the glass. That is some good waitressing there. My husband had a cheese burger with fries which he just loved and a margarita. I had the buffalo wings that were hellah fat and juicy which filled me up pretty good and the beer was good too. I love that it has lounge seating and we can watch whatever games are on or have some serious chit-chatting. We haven't been to Mai Tai's during live music yet hopefully soon. Thank you Mai Tai's hiring servers like Tamarin and serving up some good food.

Mai Tai's is an outdoors sports bar located in the Ala Moana mall. There's plenty of group seating, and it's a great casual spot to stop by when visiting Oahu. My family and I came here for happy hour and to watch the sunset - the ambiance was great for relaxing. The food was a bit pricey for happy hour but was good for sharing. The drinks were pretty, sweet, and flavorful. Our waitress was also super nice and brought out food quickly and checked in on us often. I'd recommend this place for a group looking to wind down after a long vacation day!

I came here once with my girlfriend and once with my boyfriend separate occasions. They serve some good drinks and appetizers here. There was live music the day I came with my boyfriend. They have happy hour every day which is good. Our waitress was really nice and checked up on us if we needed anymore drinks. Before you step in, there's security checking id if you look young lol There's a bar area and a lounge are where you can sit and watch the flat screen television. I definitely recommend this bar if you want to drink. Good drinks and service.

The moody speakeasy vibe was cool and our server was friendly, but the problem is nothing on the menu is very appealing or affordable. I decided to gamble on the 3 taco flight. Mexican food in Hawaii is always a gamble, but these were the worst tacos I've ever had in my life. They were comically small and, unfortunately, quite disgusting. Especially the tortilla, which was made from ulu and tasted like oily construction paper. The presentation was pretty underwhelming as well and did not include any salsa or hot sauce. When asked, the server offered Tabasco. Really?! But the real crime was the $27 price tag. We're all used to Hawaii prices, but come on. How can you charge NINE DOLLARS per tiny taco with a straight face? The drinks I had were ok, but nothing super memorable. Loved the vibe and I could see this place really popping off if they overhauled the menu. Until then, it's a pass for me.

To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick. The tomato soup was fresh, bright, and made for dipping you didn't want to stop. We were welcomed with a table that had our name on it, a small touch that goes a long way.
