After two flights to get to Miami for a cruise, we asked around for a place to go grab something to eat and someone in the hotel recommended a sports bar located within walking distance. This was great since we really didn't want to first about finding anything fancy, we just wanted something low-key to grab a burger or something. I wasn't anticipating the sports bar look like this. It was beautiful, I had chandeliers all over the place, nice boots and tables. I would never categorize it as a sports bar. Had they not had a few large TV screens televising different games going on that day. The waitress was super friendly, and we both ordered burgers from the menu which were about $20. We also ordered fries which cost a little extra if you want them flavored with Parmesan or truffle. Both were very good. Never really realized how good Tap 42 is until recently. Absolutely loved the salmon zen bowl and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. I have to be careful because the egg rolls are addicting and I don't want to over indulge until I start hating them lol very casual atmosphere but can still be nice if you decide to get dresssy. Tap 42 in Midtown has been my birthday brunch location the last 2 years! My friends & I reserve one of the tables on the screened patio to enjoy the breeze, the fellow partiers and the beats - ranging from reggaeton, classic hip hop & even salsa. The DJ even played my 'anthem' #iykyk for my liquid courage encouraged :) rendition. Our service was pretty timely, and the hostess helpful in accommodating some last minute changes in reservations. We enjoyed their $25 unlimited brunch mimosas, along with various items from their menu. My order was their yummy hangover burger "a caballo" (with the fried egg), as well as sampling some of my friends' dishes such as chicken wings, and even salad bites. My family and I came to tap 42 to celebrate my cousin's college graduation. When making the reservations, it was very easy and the hosts were very accommodating. Once majority of our party arrived, we were able to be seated. When you have a large party, tap 42 midtown can offer outdoor patio seating or a back area that has 2 long tables to accommodate over 10+ people. Our waiters for the evening were very nice, accommodating, and efficient. They handled our large party very well and gave great suggestions. We ordered the guacamole and chips, chicken lettuce wraps, and calamari. Everything tasted amazing, especially the calamari. Thick long pieces of calamari fried to a nice crisp paired with a sweet chili sauce on the side was perfect. Also, their drinks are crafted very nicely. We ordered the lychee martini which had the perfect blend of sweetness and alcohol to where it wasn't overpowering. Also during brunch hours, tap 42 has a DJ that kept the vibes up and create a nice atmosphere for everyone.
