    mushroom appetizer

tanta was an incredible experience! everything we ordered was very delicious. the mushroom appetizer was creamy but not too heavy. the mushrooms were perfect and very fresh tasting! the ceviche was also amazing and light. the crunchy corn bits were a perfect pairing. the 3 entrees we got were all delicious, but the prawn risotto was my favorite. the lomo saltado is a classic peruvian dish and it was delectable as expected. the stir fried wok noodles were flavored with the same saltado seasoning so it tasted similar, but it was with the most amazing crispy chicken. the interior is very nice and cute. we waited for a bit at the bar but were seated in around 15 minutes with no reservation. the service is standard but note that not many servers spoke english. overall, the food was really incredible but i would say a tiny bit on the salty side. nevertheless, i would still definitely recommend tanta and i wish i could go back! this is a must-visit if you're in BA!

Pricey but yummy! We got the lomo saltada and it was delicious for the appetizer we went with the dumplings and they were also delightful and fresh. Very nice restaurant in a nice building with great service, a little slow but still good.

My brother was also traveling in the region at the same time so we decided to overlap for a few days in Buenos Aires. He suggested this place for dinner as he's had great meals at other restaurants by Gaston Acurio. And indeed, it was an excellent meal! The cocktails were excellent and everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommended!

My husband and I went on a date here and we were so happy we did! We were able to be seated right away. The inside of the building is very tranquil and modern. The food came out very quickly and was delicious. We went last week and I've been thinking about it ever since! We are actually going to go back again tonight, it was THAT good. The waitress was extremely attentive and we had a wonderful experience here!

YUM for the seafood! Buenos Aires is heavy on the meat, lots of red meat everywhere. We were looking for something a little lighter and the seafood on the menu here is perfect. We started out with a few Aperol Spritz's, delicious. The shrimp risotto and ceviche were SO GOOD. The ceviche had a kick to it so not for anyone who doesn't like spicy. All really good!

Really delicious Peruvian food. The restaurant is casual but modern. Started with a shrimp causa. Its nice and flavorful. Topped with a what it tasted like a mayo/ketchup sauce. Not my kind of sauce but it was good. I the had the arroz tanta. Incredibly flavorful but a little dry. It had chicken, shrimp and chorizo. And then portion is really generous. You can never go wrong in a restauran by Gaston Acurio.

Wow what can I say, I found a gem in Argentina. I was in my hotel room looking for a full meal during my visit to Buenos Aires. I found my meal at Tanta Argentina by Garçon Acurio, which is a Peruvian restaurant. We sat outside which the weather was great. We strayed with an appetizer, Tequenos de Lomo Salteado, which where shredded beef in a spring roll. They were tender and delicious!! Our main entree was El Pollo de La Infancia, 1/2 chicken in its own juices, rice and peas and a rustic salad, OMG. The abundance of food flavor and originality was delicious. Chicken was covered in a gravy we couldn't get enough. The Rustic Salad was actually potato salad with Beets, unbelievable. The manager assisted us in placing our order as we did not speak Portuguese/Spanish thank God and he didn't stir us wrong. I found out they also have a restaurant in Chicago and Miami so if you can't get to Argentina check them out in the US.

    Egg rolls with meat? Excellent

Honestly, was one of the best prepared dinners I had in Buenos Aires, but the service was terrible. D-bag waiter with hoop nose ring tried to pay as little attention to us as possible. Table next to us sat down after us, was receiving there apps when waiter finally was taking our order. They didn't have ceviche (they were out); how does a Peruvian restaurant run out of ceviche?! That being said, the lomo saltado was one the best I've had, and there are a lot of Peruvian restaurants in LA. It equaled the best I've had in Lima. We also had the fish with lentils, surprisingly good. Table next to us ordered something that looked like egg rolls, so we just asked for the same thing, they had a meat filling that was great. We had finished our meal, bus boy had clearEd our table and we were planning on ordering desert. That's when waiter when into social mode with his boys... got to the point where I didn't mind trying to wave him down (I never do this in the U.S.). He seemed to look right at us, and just ignored us more. Food 4.5 Waiter (with hoop nose ring) 0.5 Busboy 4.0 Overall, 2.0, mush higher if you don't have to deal with hoop-nose guy

Went for lunch by myself and was told there weren't any available, there were plenty. I was sat st the bar, which meant a small counter attached to a dark grey wall and chipped glass top. This was located right next to the food preparation. I have never been at a worse seating. I cannot believe and Archetect could design something so horrible and the owner allow people to hit at such an inhospitable location. I ordered lomo saltado. The meat was very tender but lacked flavor. You cannot charge the tip to your credit card. Very disappointing.

Beautiful classy room. Ceviche was gray. Felt food was good but expensive and over rated.

We were directed to our table for the wine tasting by friendly staff, it was nice because it was just my husband and I. Our sommelier Javier was answered all our questions about Argentinian wines, and patient since both my husband and I were semi new to wines, also it didn't help that my husband was a bit tipsy from being at a brewery before we went for the tasting. The pours for the tasting was more than expected and not sure if it's because it was only two of us but we got a second pour for each type of wine. I ended up tipsy since my husband didn't drink the second pour. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and we bought a bottle recommended by Javier, that we will open for a special occasion soon. Will definitely come back for a romantic dinner next time we're in town, because this restaurant would be a perfect place to have a date, loved the setting, and the numerous types of wines.

If you're wanting the traditional 'parrilla' experience, keep looking. I loved it though! The service is fantastic. It seemed we had our very own person who looked after us. We started with a foie gras that was out off this world! I couldn't put my finger on a certain taste, until I tried a little dab of the sprinklings on the top. I thought it was shaved truffles, but it was actually a bittersweet chocolate! Never had that combination before, but it totally worked!! The salad was a little random for a Cesar, but we were fairly warned. The steak ( only one on the menu I believe) was outstanding! Evidently, you don't need to dine at a noisy brightly lit parrilla to get a good steak! Ask to see their wine "cellar"! We enjoyed every minute and every bite!

I saw reviews online that the portions were large so I asked for a smaller plate but perhaps it was too little. However, with the spinach on the side and bread starter I was pretty full. The spinach was shockingly really good, it also had a slight Smokey flavor that I can't quite place. There were a lot of tourists here, I heard a lot of English speaking guests which was nice thought because the staff here spoke English very well. The service was very good and quick. There are outlets all to charge your devices. Bonus! The staff was very kind in helping me figure out how to exchange USD to Argentinian pesos. I used this cash to get a SUBE card a few blocks down at the lottery store.
