The ambiance was great. The servers were very attentive. The appetizers were amazing. We enjoyed the Baby squid and Oyster Rockefeller. I also enjoyed the fish of the day. My guest stated that the lamb was ok. While they opened at 7:30 and we had a reservation at 9, they ran out of the ribeye. If you're seeking a steak meal, I'd recommend securing a reservation for 7:30 or 8. Yes, I would recommend to anyone visiting BA.

I was also in Buenos Aires for a birthday vacation. We stayed at the Palace Duhau and when they were informed that it was my birthday, they recommended me Crizia. From the moment we came in to the moment we left we were treated like VIPS. The oysters were out of this world fresh and tasty. I'm glad I got those. I opted out for the crispy rice paella and am still trying to figure out how they did that. If you cook you know what I mean. In a paella you usually get socarrat at the bottom of the pan, but this rice was all crispy rice.. mind blown. I will crack this case eventually. I'm already planning to go back in April

Crizia was a pleasant surprise. I was with a group of friends who decided to go to this restaurant because the other restaurant didn't have availability. We were seated without a reservation which was a plus for 3 hungry people. The menu offered a delightful variety of options that caught our attention to the point that one friend decided on the Chef's Table while my other friend and I decided to share about 7 plates. Both of our tabs came out to the same amount just about. Our server Nicole was kind and attentive. Our sommelier Lucas was eager and friendly as well. I would definitely visit again. The food was extremely tasty.

A restaurant dedicated to seafood and all the seafood are from the local different regions of Argentina to make sure farm to table all ingredients are fresh. I had the tasting menu, not cheap but pretty worthy, plenty of food to make sure you are fed. They gave you a little map and explain where the seafood is from on each course. The food to my taste are a little blend but they are fresh. There's wine pairing but I didn't get. If you don't want the tasting menu there's a regular menu you can choose from. The service was good but maybe too attentive. I ate early at 7pm and I was the only one, and everyone was staring at me while I was eating. It made me a little uncomfortable with 5 or 6 people staring. The decor is nice, high ceiling pretty dark place but with spotlight on your table, so you can see what you are eating. Reservation is a must, it gets busy after 8pm

Crizia was by far the best dining experience me and my friend had in Buenos Aires. We spent a total of 10 days traveling South America and Crizia stole the show, hands down. We liked it so much we decided to go back the following night. I never do that. Especially when I'm trying to discover the best restaurants in a new city. I never want to eat in the same place twice. The only reason we didn't go back for a third night was because they were closed on Sunday. The first night we had the sturgeon (Uruguayan caviar) and oysters Rockefeller for apps. For main plates, we went with the rabbit and suckling pig, both of which were insanely good in their own special way. For dessert we opted for the creme brûlée and three different scoops of ice cream: white chocolate, Dulce de leche and mixed berries. I've studied in France and I can honestly say this creme brûlée was in my top 5, despite the awkward presentation in a large bowl. The second night we got raw oysters. I got the ribeye and my friend got the suckling pig again. We split the soufflé for dessert and it was executed to perfection. Never an easy feat. The service here was also the best we had during our 10 day trip. These people are so far ahead of their competition in terms of ambiance, quality of food and customer service, it's not even a competition. It's the little things that make a difference, such as the three different kinds of rock salt labeled in hand writing and not even letting us fill our own water glasses that make you feel like you're getting your money's worth here. Meanwhile, at other restaurants, we had to fight to get our order taken and for the bill. Every business that serves food in this city ought to go to Crizia and learn from the best.

Atmosphere, presentation, and service: 5/5 The atmosphere was wow when we walked in. Dark, modern, fancy, stylish, but still comfortable. It made me feel like a VIP. The service was very attentive in refilling our drinks and were very helpful (e.g. offering a sommelier if we wanted to speak to one). They were a bit slower when grabbing our check but they were very busy at that time. The food was presented beautifully and we really appreciated the free little foods that came between each course - the free tiny desserts (chocolate and macarons) were delicious. Appetizers: 5/5 The raw oysters come with a delicious elderflower acid and were very fresh and tasty. The Crizia oysters were very rich and had crispy breadcrumbs. The shrimp on toast was very good - the shrimp tasted so fresh and the brioche was crispy and sweet. Mains: 2/5 We were disappointed with our main courses which we shared: lamb, hake (catch of the day), and scallop pasta. The best was the scallop pasta. It had only three scallops (although we had 4 people) but the pasta sauce was creamy and good. It was something I would expect of a good pasta place and it was solid but not amazing. The lamb was ok but not super tender and the mashed potatoes on both the lamb and fish were super dense and tasted almost like a paste. The fish was also not very juicy or tender. The presentation of the food was beautiful but the actual portions were not very big and the food wasn't very hearty. It was a little disappointing since we were so impressed with the appetizers.

Loved this place Crizia in Palermo. Service was top notch food was amazing and value was great. The place is so welcoming. Keep in mind glass main door might be locked, just ring door bell. You can take a look at menu just outside too. But I do recommend going in and giving it a try. It will not be cheap but by all means compared to other restaurants in Buenos Aires u loved what I got and my friend did too and we were perfectly happy with the total we paid. We arrived at 9pm and it was empty. By the time we left it was full at midnight. The bar has great drinks too. All staff works together and tables are apart enough. Ambiance is great with nice oyster bar and a chimney in place. I can imagine in summer this place is great too as it has a great street view. I'll be back every chance I get. Todo de la a a la z fue excelencia sabor servicio valor creatividad y puro goce diversión y degustar cada plato y bebida.

Here, the menu is focused on just freshwater fish. Among ten appetizers and nine main courses, all are freshwater fish, with the exception of one vegetarian and one meat dish in each category. As of our visit, the freshwater fish on offer were pacú, dorado, boga, and surubí. Three of us went for delicious deep-fried surubí empanadas! And served with hot sauce on the side on request. 45 pesos apiece. You get little complimentary ramekins of pickled white butter beans, and they were so good, we ordered up a full appetizer order of them. A bit steep at 180 pesos for the small sized bowl that we got - for that price, this bowl ought to be full! Stick with the free ones. A good ceviche - the flavors were all there, though surprisingly, given the fish choices, the one they use for the ceviche is the boga, which has a kind of chewy texture to it naturally. I think we all would have liked it more if made with surubí, a classic of littoral cuisine up along the Paraná river. It did need a little more heat, even with the requested "make it picante" - so we added some of the hot sauce from the empanadas. 350 pesos. Two of our number ordered up the grilled pacú, our waiter swiftly returned to let us know that the only pacú in house were huge, and the kitchen recommended just one order of a big fillet to share. Good choice, and they gave us a price discounted to somewhere between one and two orders. Perfectly cooked, rich, and served with a choice of sides - french fries, mashed potato, grilled vegetables; plus rice. 370 pesos regularly, we got the double version for 600. Our waiter highly recommended his personal favorite, the grilled dorado with leek cream sauce. Excellent! Even with the grilled head staring at us. But that turned out to be a plus, because of course, there's that delicate cheek meat that's so good... 450 pesos One of the group, of course, had to be contrary, and ordered the ribeye steak. Cooked just the way he ordered it. The accompaniments a little odd - a sort of fruity wine sauce, and a very bizarre mix of mashed potatoes and smoked eggplant that didn't work texturally or flavorwise. 370 pesos The one other disappointment, the "grilled vegetables" which turned out to be just a few strips of grilled vegetables laid atop a bowl of undressed arugula. If that's what you're offering, let us know that, because that's not a "side of grilled vegetables", at least not in our book. They were tasty, just too few of them, and the salad was like an afterthought. All in all, love the space, great service, it's a delight to have a place for freshwater fish in town again. And, for the most part, great food. For all the above food, plus three rounds of fresh brewed iced tea, and tip, we spent 2400 pesos, 600 apiece.

A distinguished and very fine seafood restaurant in Palermo Hollywood…read more Expensive. That is your problem. Not theirs. Reservations only. Don't count on talking your way in at the door. This is true even if the restaurant will be 2/3 empty all night. This is because, more than any other restaurant I have encountered ... The house is absolutely positively averse to food waste. They want to know EXACTLY how many people are coming every night. They buy just enough food To serve exactly X dishes to customers - a number known in advance, And throw away exactly Y dishes - the dishes that customers did not order. They know exactly what X and Y will be every night. When my wife and I were the first people in the restaurant, And we both ordered Salmon with Miso - we found there was just one copy of that dish that would be served that night. My wife got the one copy. From both a business standpoint and the point of view of managing quality in the kitchen, this policy makes total sense. Other restaurants don't do this or don't have to do it ... But I see what Chipper is trying to accomplish. * * * Everything we had at Chipper was utterly superlative. My wife's one dish of Salmon with Miso was dramatically good. However, I got a house staple ... The pasta with seafood sauce. This is a dish for which they are known, So they make a lot of this one. The seafood pasta would easily justify the reputation of the establishment. It is an utterly satisfying wonderful dish. The only other place I have had seafood pasta this good Was in an Argentine diaspora restaurant in Leme in Rio de Janeiro. I have thought about that dish for years. Chipper's stands in fine company with that legendary Rio de Janeiro bowl of pasta. * * * Desserts may be wonderful at Chipper. But keep in mind, Chipper is a few doors away from Alchemy. Alchemy is one of the finest if not the finest ice cream shops in Buenos Aires. Never never never never never never turn down a chance to get ice cream at Alchemy. So we did the morally right thing. But for appetizers and main courses, You are not going to beat Chipper if you like fish. Yeah, you have to make administrative arrangements to get into the place. But you have to make administrative arrangements to fly to Buenos Aires in the first place. * * * Both sets of complex administrative arrangements are worth it.

They have a particularly nice clam chowder, very easy to recommend. In fact, i recommend it. Try sitting on the patio in winter with a bowl of their soup. So worth it. Only real downside i can see is the price; it's not a cheap place to eat. I think it's worth the price, but i'm accustomed to paying San Francisco prices.
