I was walking down Esmeralda and stumbled upon this gem, of course none other by one of the most renowned chefs in Peruvian cuisine, Gaston Acurio. The ambiance was amazing, the service, the lomo saltado was perfect, the papa rellenas reminded me of my grandmothers, and the dessert was TO DIE FOR. Highly recommend this restaurant as a way to dive into Peruvian cuisine...you won't regret it. Also, bring cash to tip, they don't let you add tip to the total of your bill with a credit card.

Our sommelier Javier was answered all our questions about Argentinian wines, and patient since both my husband and I were semi new to wines, also it didn't help that my husband was a bit tipsy from being at a brewery before we went for the tasting. The pours for the tasting was more than expected and not sure if it's because it was only two of us but we got a second pour for each type of wine. I ended up tipsy since my husband didn't drink the second pour. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and we bought a bottle recommended by Javier, that we will open for a special occasion soon.
