We found this place on Yelp. We walked in and ordered the standard beer and wine. However, after watching the bartender mix up a drink for someone else we had to get in on it. I told him I liked makers and he made me some kind of amazing awesome old fashioned. The guy was better than most bartenders in premium spots in the US. The ambiance in the spot is amazing. Very chill, but not overrun with tourists (until you all read this). Highly recommend that everyone stops by.

Good food, ambiance and service. Been here twice and have had a good experience both times. The chicken wings and ribs are good!

Located on the top floor (rooftop) of the Tango de Mayo Hotel--it's views can't be beat! Happy Hour…read morehas some solid 2 for 1 deals (at time of writing this, NOV 7, 2018--a variety of cocktails were priced for HH as 2 for $200ARS aka two for about $6USD). But also note HH is not daily, only Wednesday thru Saturdays. We didn't try any of the small plates offered, but they do apparently have food/munchies. The vibe is casual-chic (if that is in fact a thing, and not something I just made up lol) ie in no way pretentious and very much come as you are, but also has the vibe and music of a more trendy spot. But, also, again know that it's on the roof of a hotel, so there's not only a decent mix of younger locals, but also (what seems to be) older/foreign guests of the hotel. The servers/bartenders are attentive and friendly, and my boyfriend and I have enjoyed 2 (each) of the very best Aperol Spritz's we've ever had anywhere in the world (we can't decide if the the bartender is using a different ratio, or a special Prosecco or what, but they are TASTY!) all for a grand total of $400ARS aka 12 bucks US (what one single Spritz might cost me in my hometown of Philadelphia). All in all the Happy Hour (or just the view) if you're in the area is worth checking out!

Top views and unbeatable atmosphere. Friendly staff and good variety of drinks and food. Definitely…read moreworth to spend an evening!

The places were loud and the music was not cohesive to the ambiance. We luckily found the Harrison Speakeasy and we had such a wonderful time. It's open late and really gives the speakeasy vibes that so many "speakeasies" are lacking these days. The music was great. The DJ was very impressive and played a nice array of music. Seamlessly mixing old and new salsa and more. The drinks - we finally had some good drinks here! I was so happy after the previous bars we had been to. The only downside here was that we got there and were having such a good time, then it closed and we were left wanting more. It was such a nice time and I really appreciated the opportunity to visit during our trip!

It was a bit funny seeing another country's interpretation of "American culture" but I think Harrison nailed it - from the New York newspaper menus to the classy interior to the expertly made cocktails. I could not decide on the cocktail menu, so the bartender asked me what my preferences were. She whipped up a mint banana drink and it was SO AMAZINGLY GOOD. Like one of the best cocktails of my life. AND it was only $6!! (Granted, all the cocktails in Buenos Aires are $6 USD) During my visit to Buenos Aires I also tried two of the "world's top 50" bars: Tres Monos and Floreria Atlantico. Honestly, I think Harrison has them both beat in terms of ambiance and beverage. Wonderful experience and I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

The tea did its job, warmed me up, settled things down. But sitting there watching plates fly by, especially their famous burger, I couldn't help but feel like I missed out. Guess I'll have to come back when I'm at full strength and give it the fair shot it deserves. Some meals aren't meant to be judged halfway.

ATMOSPHERE: Located just off the lobby, it's a small space with lounges, high tops and bar seating. It' s not a dance club by any means. The crowd was younger-local and the vibe felt like an upscale social event, making for easy conversation with not too loud DJ music. Decor is warm and contemporary. MENU: Bar-style apps, charcuterie, sandwiches, burgers, salads, pizzas, desserts. While we didn't eat, my spouse and I were looking for a night cap. Because we were guests of the hotel, we didn't have to pay a cover charge. Being that it was a Saturday night, the place was filled but not overly crowded, meaning no seats were available but no one was standing around either. We were told we'd get a spot ASAP but instead of waiting, we decided to walk across the street to the row of restaurants that are under the freeway overpass. Personally, I like to explore the city and not just stay in the hotel anyway. As expected while walking by the place on a Sunday night, it was completely empty! Oh well. OVERALL: Maybe next time we'll get to experience the food and drinks. So, it's a 3-star for now.
