We were recommended this place by the hotel staff. I would say you need to check this place out. I'm not sure how many speakeasies Buenos Aires has, but if this is the only one, you should put it on your list of places to visit. I will say, the music can get loud. But once you're in there for a while, you will zone out the music. Thank you to our waiter, Walder! The restaurant was very packed and Walder was very attentive to every table. He also let me practice my Spanish with him. We got the prawns, grilled squid, and the mushroom empanada. All were great, but my favorite were the prawns. As for drinks, I first got the Yamanas, but requested a different drink as that was not for me. I then got the Spuma de Campari and that was my drink for the night.

I'd say 3.5 stars! The ambience is lovely, though the music is too loud. Our friend recommended this place because of the drinks and a hot bartender. We didn't see the one she mentioned but we had a few people who helped us get our drinks. I had the Venezuelan which was sweet and tasty but barely had any alcohol. I'm pretty much an alcohol detector and barely felt any after drinking the whole thing. Usually I would be as red as a cherry and I didn't even get rosy. It was more of a mocktail than a cocktail and it was pretty pricey for how weak it is. The bf got a old fashioned which he enjoyed. I love that it's under a florist shop and that the bartenders can provide recommendations based on your preferences. If we're in the area we might give it a go again to try a few more.

I found this 'hidden bar' on Yelp and it happened to be close to my hotel and endorsed by the hotel clerk. She said to go into the flower shop. Apple Maps had an accurate location and we found it easily. The hostess said that she had a table free with a time limit as we had no reservation. The bar is downstairs. It's a cool vibe, dimly lit and music not so loud as to impede conversation. The menu is via UPC code. I had a Nigerian drink which tasted like melon and was not overly sweet. I could see through the bottom of the glass through two perfectly clear ice cubes. Hubby had a Korean drink which came in a heavy iron cup. We had three apps- escabeche atlantico (cold seafood), crab and shrimp empanada (yum) and shrimp scampi (beans with 4 shrimp and not what I expected). The pistachio crème brûlée was delicious. Wait staff were friendly. Tips must be in cash. Enjoyed this unusual place!

A speakeasy underneath the flower shop that has been named one of the top 50 bars in the world for many years. We came here without any reservations, but the hostess was able to fit us in at the bar. The service at the bar was a bit slow as the bartender was busy chatting away. The drink menu was very creative, with tons of great options. I enjoyed my drink - Gentedeleste. I wish it were a bit boozier tho.

The bar is located under a flower shop and is laid out as a skinny rectangle. The vibes and music were cool, but overall the cocktails left something to be desired. They had a decent variety of food items considering the main focus of the bar is on their creative craft cocktails. The empanadas were delicious and the fish was tasty, but it was served whole and was not deboned very well, making it a nuisance to eat. +Instagram: @MiamiCheatDays for more recommendations

This is a speakeasy under the flower shop. It's a world Top 50 bar (#30 as of the 2023 list) so you'll likely need a reservation to get in. That said, it's worth a visit, but the taste won't appeal to everyone. Floreria Atlántico's current menu (as of Feb 2024) highlights the history of native peoples. That theme is in every cocktail. Ingredients like soil, tobacco leaves, cocoa leaves, stones, and even "water from the Atlantic ocean" are featured in the cocktails. It's a bold menu with a lot to say. However, their bold vision is not matched by great execution. Each drink tastes...different. Not different as in an exciting new flavor. Different here means tastes you didn't think you'd have to explain to your friends - like how wood and popcorn taste in the same cocktail. Most of the cocktails have earthy sometimes bitter undertones. It's a unique palette that's presented on the menu, but major props to Atlántico for sticking to their vision and showcasing something truly new. It may not be for me but it is important. They're making cultural awareness statements through their beverages which 99.99% of bars will never do. On another note, if you ask for a drink off menu you MUST verify the price. The prices of drinks on their menu are dirt cheap, but even classic cocktails cost three times more. Ask before you commit.

Number 2 in World's 50 Best? ...ehhh I'm not sure about that. I don't think it would even rank top 10 out of all the bars I've been to in my short life. Granted, I did not try the food so my review is based solely on the drinks. Floreria is a speakeasy located in the basement of an unassuming flower shop. Reservations are available online but I've had no issues coming in person for a quick drink at the bar. Some of the hostesses speak Spanish only, despite the popularity of this bar with foreigners. My most recent visit was Friday night at around 23:00 It was VERY busy. The basement was packed and it was difficult to move around. However, the DJ was doing a great job and people are generally very polite. I managed to snag a spot at the bar after waiting for a group of girls to leave. My group ordered four drinks via a QR code we scanned for an English menu. I am not the biggest fan of the decor or interior. There is nothing special about it and the bar is uncomfortably narrow. The rustic paintings on the wall and the bartenders wearing striped t-shirts give Floreria a "pirate pub" vibe. But the music and drinks say otherwise so I think there is some confusion with the theming here. There must have been a language barrier because the bartenders weren't very nice and the service was pretty terrible. The drinks were pretty well made, the alcohol taste was mixed expertly. However, I think some of the descriptions were a bit....fluffy. "Water from the Atlantic Ocean" ? Ehhh. I heard that the food is actually quite good. If I ever give this place another chance, I will have to try the dinner menu.

Comes no surprise that one of the worlds top 50 bar (last I checked it's at #5) did not fail to impress. Tucked in the ritzy Buenos Aires neighbor hood of Recoleta, floreria Atlantico exudes an almost speakeasy like vibes you'd expect in NYC or other prohibition era type bars. Tucked in the basement of a flower shop (and boy was the flower shop gorgeous!), The host opens a large blast shield like door to lead to this cavernous space which is the bar. Intimate, sexy, classy - you name it. This place has such a vibe and I can see why both local Argentines and tourists flock to this place. Definitely get a spot at the bar, where you can first hand experience Argentine hospitality as well as see the master bartender make your drinks. Menus are both in Spanish and English. Drinks themselves - you have about twenty options of cocktails along with various glasses of wine, spirits, and beers. I got the Colonia lujan and my gf got the Pigue. Drinks range from 700-1000 argentinian pesos, which is about $7-10 USD on the official bank rate as of this review (Argentine inflation and exchange is crazy). My Colonia lujan was made with sake and almost gave me makgeoli (Korean rice wine) vibes! Super delectable and interesting, with hints of floral aroma and served in a almost Japanese esque wooden cup. Drink wasn't too sweet, yet it was super smooth to have. My girlfriend's Pigue was also pretty unique. Has a definite stronger herbal taste to it if you're feeling up for it. Honestly, this place is super cool and I'll be sure to come back here whenever I'm back in BA! (Pro tip: exchange your dollars either at western Union or meet one of the Cambio guys on the street to give you a blue market rate, effectively doubling the pesos you get per dollar, making each drink effectively $3-5 USD!!!) Our last night in Buenos Aires was made special with a cocktail at Floreria Atlantico. Fascinating and unusual drink menu! Didn't try the food but it looked good. We tried the lovely house gin on the rocks! Picked up a bottle at the florist shop on the way out!

Lavendar drink. Very good.

This place is fantastic. I was told to come here by one of my colleagues. It is located in a great part of town. You enter into a small floral shop and there is a side door that leads downstairs to the bar. There is a long bar and tables to the side. Great atmosphere. The servers and bartenders were all very nice and friendly. My son ordered a pork steak and it was really tasty. It gets really crowded and can take a while to get a table. You have ti out your name on a list to get a table but you can grab any available seats at the bar. Definitely worth visiting.
