Tres Monos as of 2024, is no 7 on the worlds 50 best bars list. This is a gross exaggeration of their offerings and I'm beginning to doubt the sanity of the folks behind the world's 50 best rankings (More on this later) . The service was phenomenal, right from getting our table to getting our orders in, they made us feel welcome. We went with everything the staff recommended only to be super underwhelmed. As I understand it, given that tres monos changes up their menu often, the rankings are based off drinks that are not on the menu anymore. They make their own in house sake and whiskey. We got to taste their sake drink which was unremarkable. Their pizza drink was a very sweet gin with a caprese salad of mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes and basil leaf on a pick for garnish. It didn't translate. Same with their dark chocolate, tahini drink, although this was better than the pizza drink. I blame a lot of our experience on our high expectations. I blame the world's 50 best rankings folks for setting them that high. I cannot recommend, unfortunately. Unless, their next menu revamp will be the one that will change my mind.

Tres Monos is currently the world's #11 best bar as of the 2023 list. It's not. That's a very overrated position, but that doesn't mean they aren't a great bar! Tres Monos serves cocktails and basic bar food. I didn't try the food, but I tried plenty of drinks off their summer menu. They're all good choices. Each drink has a fun balance of flavor and is presented very simply. None of them shouted amazing, but they were all at least notable. For example, Tres Monos has their own sakes and whiskey which are a great cocktail additive. Their whiskey drinks are top notch. Prices are pretty much all $6 a drink which is a steal. You'll find bartenders vibing with the music and enjoying their time. The energy is infectious so sit at the bar if you can! I wouldn't call them a world's best bar for flavor, but they are a wonderful choice for fun. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Reservations are highly encouraged unless you go early (before 6pm).

Great bar! The alcohol doesn't even taste like alcohol. Fun menu, creative drinks and fun atmosphere. If you are visiting Buenos Aires this is a must go to place! Great ice cream and food around too. Service is attentive and kind.

Incredible cocktails in a fun atmosphere. The service is top notch and the prices are very very low to have drinks at one of the top bars in the world. I always make sure we stop here for drinks when in BA..

We were drawn to Tres Monos after discovering its well-deserved ranking as the #27 best bar in the world on the prestigious 50 Best list, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. This trendy establishment boasts vibrant neon lights and captivating graffiti, creating a cool ambiance. The drinks were delicious. the service provided was great. Tres Monos is a must-visit destination for any bar enthusiast.

Interesting bar with a very urban feel. Inside the walls are filled with graffiti, including their 3 monkey logo. One large booth looked like it was melted plaster from ceiling to floor. It was interesting to look at. Very chill vibe, as others noted. The wait staff is nice and explains all the drinks, some with great English skills. I have to say that from all the bars in Buenos Aires (and we went to many), this one had the best drinks. Fresco y batata was interesting and you definitely tasted the potato, quite unique! El Magic was also a great take on an espresso martini. The flavor was delicious. Definitely a must stop when in the city

The places were loud and the music was not cohesive to the ambiance. We luckily found the Harrison Speakeasy and we had such a wonderful time. It's open late and really gives the speakeasy vibes that so many "speakeasies" are lacking these days. The music was great. The DJ was very impressive and played a nice array of music. Seamlessly mixing old and new salsa and more. The drinks - we finally had some good drinks here! I was so happy after the previous bars we had been to. The only downside here was that we got there and were having such a good time, then it closed and we were left wanting more. It was such a nice time and I really appreciated the opportunity to visit during our trip!

The Harrison is a New York prohibition themed speakeasy tucked behind the Nicky NY sushi. To enter,…read moreyou must walk through the restaurant and a server will take you behind the wine cellar and a "Time Machine". It was a bit funny seeing another country's interpretation of "American culture" but I think Harrison nailed it - from the New York newspaper menus to the classy interior to the expertly made cocktails. I could not decide on the cocktail menu, so the bartender asked me what my preferences were. She whipped up a mint banana drink and it was SO AMAZINGLY GOOD. Like one of the best cocktails of my life. AND it was only $6!! (Granted, all the cocktails in Buenos Aires are $6 USD) During my visit to Buenos Aires I also tried two of the "world's top 50" bars: Tres Monos and Floreria Atlantico. Honestly, I think Harrison has them both beat in terms of ambiance and beverage. Wonderful experience and I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town.
