Ceviche, tiny martini glass, not a regular sized martini glass. 5 small shrimp and two chips ...$12

Nice atmosphere, but the restaurant lacks acoustics . The noise from the small group of people at the bar carried thru the restaurant making it difficult to communicate at our table which was about 40 feet away... The food is very tasty, but the portions are small,.. miniature portions , prices are average to high

We were taken to Tanka by my cousin who lives in the area. It is a small, beautifully decorated restaurant with a variety of Asian dishes, as well as sushi, and a very nice bar area. The service was excellent except for the fact that all 4 of our entrees came out separately with almost 10 minutes in between. So the 1st person served was almost finished before the last person was served. The last meal out was the clay pot and it was boiling hot - literally still bubbling and way too hot to eat. Issues with the kitchen aside, all of our food was absolutely delicious. My Thai Curry chicken had the perfect ratio of chicken to vegetables and the Mongolian beef was tender and flavorful. I have now found my go to place for Asian when I'm in Miami.

Tanka is hidden away by the boats off of bayshore in an off beat indoor strip mall sort of set up. When we walked in nobody else was inside so we got our food pretty quickly. We had the dumplings, miso soup, and noodles as well as fried rice and 2 drinks, not sure what the names were. The noodles were ok I asked for it to be spicy with additional chili oil on the side but the best part of the meal to me was the miso soup, so rich and comforting. Good option for a quick Asian spot.

Stopped in to give it a try since staying at the Doubletree hotel. I really enjoyed this place. Very clean place with cool decor. The menu is very diverse. Service was top notch. Food was excellent.

We were in the area after attending Luminosa, and it was getting late at night, and Tanka was open late. Our group was promptly seated, and we ordered a few appetizers to share: Crab Rangoon, Pan Fried Pork Buns, Salt & Pepper Calamari. For Entrées House, Special Fried Rice, Plantain Roll, Mongolian Beef, Orange Beef, plain Noodles for the children. All the food was excellent. Service was good. The ambiance is very nice.

Had a great time at Tanka. Came in while on a work trip staying at a nearby hotel. The food was amazing. I'm a sucker for crispy rice and this one did not disappoint. The dragon roll was also great. I think the ceviche was missing a little something, but still good. Did not expect the brownie to be a whole slice of cake, but I was not upset by that. Would suggest to anyone in the area or staying nearby.

Place is delicious and affordable! Everything is hot and fresh. Staff is pretty good. You know this place is going to be amazing when there are a ton of Asian people eating there! It didn't disappoint at all. The drink was delicious and something I had never had. The food was fresh, done perfectly and presentation was beautiful. My poke bowl was $19 and I couldn't finish it. I don't recall the other prices, and let me tell you, doesn't matter because you get a lot for you money. Happy hour is all day M- Th and I believe up until 6:00pm F-Sun. Drinks are half price. So the old fashioned way as $10. What a deal! If you don't want delicious food at great prices and leave full, then this is definitely the place for you.

The Service was Amazing! The bartender who is an Artist was Amazing. He was kind, knowledgeable of the menu and made delicious drinks. I had 4 of the purple drink and came back to my hotel room dancing and then went to sleep. My dinner companion had tried a variety of drinks. We had the bogo happy hour special. The food was delicious, we had the Tanka roll, Mongolian Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice. Everything was good.

Cowboy roll

Enjoyed the service, location, drinks, food, and wait time. It was super dark, that's probably only the old down side. We tried the pork bow puns, cowboy roll, Mongolian beef, Miami and coconut drink. Super tasty and fast service.

Overpriced and not fresh. $140 for pre made dumplings and a wet soggy duck. Like I was eating a towel. Depressing atmosphere and place.

I'll start with a positive: I actually really liked the anime-themed decor. It's unique, fun, and definitely adds personality to the space. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The customer service wasn't great. It felt inattentive and unwelcoming, which immediately set the tone for the meal. We ordered two servings of crab rangoon, and I was honestly shocked at both the price and the quality. To put it simply it was the worst crab rangoon I've ever had. They tasted like they were deep-fried in old oil, with that heavy, stale aftertaste. They didn't seem fresh at all more like something pulled from a freezer and quickly dropped into the fryer. When I opened them up, there was barely any filling besides cream cheese. I couldn't find any actual crab inside, which was really disappointing, especially considering how much they charged for them. I was genuinely sad about how much money we spent on those two orders, only to be completely let down. I love supporting unique, themed spots and the anime vibe really had potential but unfortunately, the food quality and service just didn't meet expectations. I hope they improve because the concept itself is cute.

My go to for take out really delivers. This Chinese…read morerestaurant is near my home and I frequently see it, but had never tried it until I noticed that the place I usually go for Chinese food was not on any of my delivery apps. Consequently, when I decided it was a night for takeout and eating in front of the television, I figured why not. Canton Lee has a nice menu with all of the usual Chinese American choices. They have both lunch and combination dinner specials, which are very reasonably priced. But what really struck me was did they list all of my favorite dishes for takeout and they are well priced as well. My mother, a blessed memory, and still the love of Chinese food and me, and she would never start a meal without three distinct things. Wonton soup, spareribs (on the bone, of course), and egg roll. I ordered these items and they're not just tasted great but they were so good thst they even were able to bring back. Great memories (Sidenote: Dad loved pork strips and yatke mein soup which I rarely find these days.). Moving onto the main dishes, I ordered the Dragon and Phoenix, which is a mixture of sautéed shrimp and orange chicken. Their iteration is not spicy like I prefer, but it's really good. I love that. The chicken is still crispy even for takeout and is always nice, moist chicken breast. Maybe next time I will ask if they make it spicy. The second Dish that I ordered is Assorted Wonton which is beef, chicken and shrimp. Sautéed in a garlic sauce with pork wontons. The vegetables mixed in are extremely fresh and the sauce is delicious. I like this dish a lot although the wontons are these flat things that are a little bit strange to me and I would prefer the more robust ones I have had at other restaurants. The young chow fried rice is a huge hit for me as it is not only delicious but a huge quantity is packed into the container. Mixed into the rice, our combination of meat, chicken, and seafood, making this a perfect side dish or even main dish. There are many things in the menu I'd like to try but have not gotten around to yet. Regrettably I forgot to take pictures, but will add them at some point. I cannot comment on the ambience. as I have not been to the restaurant. What I can say, however is the both times that I have ordered the food was delivered quicker than expected. It arrives hot. Perhaps the only complaint that I have and it is not a very big one is that when I do the takeout order I check off the box to include utensils and plates, but neither time were they included. Again, not a big deal, but they should not offer that if they're not going to do it. So overall, I'm rating this specifically as a takeout restaurant as this is the only experience I have with them and as far as that goes, they are at the top of my list.

My wife is a fan of honey chicken, and the reviews that I read online spoke highly of it. This dish did not disappoint at all. Lightly breaded unlike so many Chinese restaurants where you have to dig for the chicken through a very starchy coating. This was delicious moist chicken breast with a light and tasty breading. The honey sauce was in a separate container, which was nice as the food arrived. Still crispy and delicious. We all enjoyed this dish immensely. The second dish we ordered was called Four Seasons, presumably for the four proteins which were chicken, pork, shrimp, and beef. The shrimp was described as Jumbo shrimp but calling them jumbo would be a stretch and the fact that they were difficult to even find in the dish as I think there were only two or three total. The beef and chicken were cooked reasonably, but the pork must've been cooked a while before the dish and was so tough and difficult to chew that I gave up and threw it out. The vegetables were overcut as well and were soggy and essentially tasteless. Exact opposite of the honey chicken this is a dish that I could never recommend. Lastly was the shrimp fried rice. There were a fair amount of shrimp although they didn't seem to be well distributed to the rice and all seem to be near the top of the container. That may have been coincidence. The rice itself was a bit salty otherwise had virtually no flavor. It was very disappointing. Overall, the delivery was quick and the honey chicken was superb. The rest of the meal was not memorable and there are too many places with better overall food for me too risk another disappointment by ordering from there again. Although I might just order some honey chicken and skip the rest.
