Disastrous. What a waste of an hour. I ordered online and paid, and when I went to pick up our dinner they just kept saying they didn't see the order on their phone. I showed them the order in full and even showed them the credit card charge on my bank app, but they kept saying they didn't have it on their phone, and rather than just making the order they wanted me to start over and pay again, then they took my phone away and called somebody else and spoke in Chinese for a very long time as I waited, and then came back and once again could only keep repeating that they didn't have the order on their phone. No matter how many times they looked at my order confirmation and receipt, they just kept going in circles, so having wasted a total of an hour and with a hungry family still waiting at home, I just gave up and went to another restaurant and started over. read more

Just ordered from Mike's via Postmates after craving honey chicken and fried rice for the past few weeks in quarantine. I am really picky about food - especially with Chinese after a bad experience at another restaurant finding a roach in my dish. After carefully looking over few nearby options, checking reviews on Google and Yelp - reading health inspection notes, etc. I decided to give this place a try. Wow, I'm sure glad I did. The honey chicken was yummy and the combo came with big chunks of deep-fried chicken tossed in honey garlic sauce (cooked perfectly on the inside and breading was slightly crispy on the outside) and I selected special fried rice as the side. The combo also came with an egg roll and wonton soup, even though it wasn't specified on the menu for the combo. Overall, this was a delicious meal at a really great price. My mother raised me right - if you have nothing good to say, silence is golden. Then someone mentioned Mike's China Beach. I admit I was skeptical at first. I mean - Mike? - but whatever. So I looked it up on Yelp and read some of the reviews. Skepticism slowly shifted to intrigue. I went to the website. And laughed. There's not a hint of flash, no Miami music pumping in the background, not even photos of food. Honestly, I find there's something ultimately charming in such a no-frills website. And this one is a winner. Bottom line, they're not trying to be anything but what they are. I admire that. It speaks of confidence. I picked up the phone and dialed. I sighed with delight when the guy who answered brought me back to Brooklyn. He talked fast, got the order right on the first try and hung up. Delivery was promised in 45 minutes. Happily anticipating digging in, CFD arrived in 20 minutes. A total treat! Barely 5 minutes later, I was scarfing it down like a frat boy in a beer haze. It looked amazing. It tasted awesome.
