Really enjoyed our breakfast here today. My wife daughter and grandson were joined by my daughter's best friend. It was our first but not our last visit to this nice addition to the neighborhood. Very nice decor with photos of the local area on the walls. Very attentive and friendly service. Our drinks were quickly delivered and refilled often. The coffee drinkers enjoyed their delicious La Colombe. The owner came out to personally check on us and our server was very nice and interacted with everyone at the table and made us feel at home. My grandson enjoyed his milk in s kids cup and was kept busy with crayons and paper to draw on. They also had a borrowing library with kids and adult books. The food was excellent. I really enjoyed my The tank which was served in a skillet. Three eggs potato hash, peppers,onions,sausage,bacon and cheddar was a great way to start my day. Whoaaaaa!! I just hit breakfast gold! This place rocks! Located in a sweet spot for me with easy access from Delaware and Philly, T&L might be one of my every weekend spots. Starting off, the coffee is fresh, rich and hot, which is important when you drink it black. Totally over ordered (like I usually do when I try a place for the first time). I had "The Tank" which is a hash consisting of eggs, potato, tomatoes, peppers, onions, sausage, and bacon. All in a cast iron skillet. I truly don't know how they managed to bring all this together without being greasy..... But they did!!! My eggs were a perfect over medium. The breakfast tacos were visually appealing and tasted terrific. Eggs, cheese, tomato, bacon, guacamole...Melt in your mouth FINALLY....I had to try that soufflé apple pancake (Even though that is anti everything about my diet).... Tank and Libby's is the best modern breakfast spot in this area of Delco. Prices are about on par with a lot of other local restaurants, and the menu options are fresh and fun. I feel like there's always 10 different things I want to order from their menu. When you go, no matter what you order, make sure you order a side of breakfast potatoes. (I always deconstruct my meals) my friend even got Togo for her husband who was working around the corner. He even said the burger was delish! I have already raved about Tank and Libby's food and service today but, I would like to a side note. At the bottom of the menu is Libby's Chicken Noodle soup. It is described as "House-made chicken broth, vegetable confetti, braised chicken and essence of honey." We bought a quart just to see what it tasted like. OMG! Since I was a child I have been enjoying chicken soup. I thought I knew how to prepare it as well. Wrong! I took my family to this restaurant today and I may say it was the worst experience I've had in a long time. Not only was my waiter Jean incompetent , unprofessional and rude, she also failed to follow instructions and communicate effectively. Apparently there was an issue with the waffle maker, and instead of her letting me know, she let my 8 year old wait 30 minutes for his food. At 10 minutes I intervened and asked what was the wait for and she said she didn't know. I asked the runner what was going on and he told me there was an issue with he waffle maker and apologized multiple times. Then not only did my food come out wrong, it came out cold which was extremely off putting. I let my waiter know what was going on and she was not empathetic nor remorseful, instead became defensive. I then went to talk to the manager. He seemed inexperienced and too showed no remorse for the services displayed. When I got the check, I advise that the shrimp and grits should have been removed because they were cold and Jean decided to argue with me about the food. I asked to speak to her manager again and she replied " he doesn't want to talk to you!" I immediately snapped and told her about herself. The manager then came over as I started to walk out and apologized for his employees behavior and took off the cold shrimp and grits. I still ended up paying $85 and don't think I should have paid that because of the blatant disrespect and unprofessionalism. I will never return to this establishment. The food is too costly for the service to be piss poor. What a disappointment read more

Just had a wonderful brunch at Tank & Libby's. She had the Chicken and Waffles, sweet and spicy with bacon bits in the waffles, chicken fried to perfection, with sweet and spicy syrup. I will start out with saying the food was delicious. I ordered the old bay Benedict, which was crab cake, spinach and egg. I substituted the fruit (upcharge $2.00). The fruit was banana, 3 blueberries and three grapes, very disappointing. We were a party of 10, and everyone agreed food was delicious. Good service also. They are thick like a slice of cake the service mostly has been great except for one particular waitress/cashier...all I'll say is, if you place a phone order, please add up everything to make sure they're no additional charges . Great quaint place for breakfast or brunch in the Springfield/Delco neighborhood. The place was nicely busy on a Thursday for lunch, good crowd but was still able to get a table immediately. The service was great, and the food was delicious -- not much more you can ask from a local restaurant with great values that you want to support. The menu looked very appetizing and we wanted to try a few things as first timers. We ordered the green toast platter, french toast, coffee crumb cake, chicken noodle soup, and BLTA with french fries -- all great. Came back again and the spicy interrupting chicken is my favorite. Updating my previous review to say: this morning I had their biscuits, which are the best biscuits I've had in PA. I grew up in North Carolina and accepted when moving up here that the closest thing to a decent biscuit would be more like a crumbly scone. Back again to try other menu options. So far, only Italian hot sausage sandwich and Piggy have impressed me. I tried the CRABBY PATTY today. Was supposed to be lump crab - NOT. Mostly filler and it seems that the crab used was shredded. Definitely not lump crap. Too much filler and seasoning in the crab cake. Not impressed. My friend got the Piggy. And I took one home. We love this sandwich. Server suggested getting the Chicken bruschetta wrap. So, we will try that next time. Hope the owners read the reviews and hopefully make some changes. This is one place where I feel safe to go and have breakfast or lunch. They set up outdoor dining under a beautiful tent as well as separated the tables inside so they're much more than 6 feet apart!
