When you find a good Doc of any specialty- you keep them as long as you possibly can. Dr. Le is example of that kind of Provider. She's down to earth, knowledgeable and takes the time and effort to adequately explain your benefits,vision questions and make professional suggestions. The doctor, Tam Le, was very nice and professional. She was able to laugh, and made the appointment easy and quick. My real issue comes from the assistant who was at the front desk. I had buyers remorse on the glasses I had purchased, and called (less than 20 minutes after leaving) and asked to cancel my order. She told me she could not do this, and also told me she could not give me my Rx (she claims she did not say this, but she did, twice). She told me the doctor was out, and because they had already began billing my insurance, she couldn't do anything. I ended up calling my insurance, and thanks to Dr. Tam Le, was able to get this corrected. The assistant was of no help, and was somewhat rude when she called asking for my cc number to refund me. I enjoyed the experience with the doctor, did not enjoy the experience with the assistant. read more

Uses improperly calibrated equipment. I got an Rx for eyeglasses and ordered a pair. The Rx in one eye is too strong, so I go back to have it checked again. The equipment says the Rx was correct. I ask her to oblige me and write an Rx with a weaker Rx, anyway. She kindly agrees, telling me that it's my responsibility if the glasses are not correct. I order a pair of eyeglasses with the weaker Rx. Now they are correct. I call Tam and let her know there may be a problem w/ her diagnostic equipment. She says she doesn't go off what it tells her but instead what the patient says. I ask her how the patient can know this without diagnostic equipment. I don't discern, in what she tells me, an answer or desire to correct a possible problem but instead absurdities about how one's vision can change in different environments. I just know that this is not the correct situation in my case. My advice is to make sure the distance Rx in the left eye is perfect. And if you're not having her provide the glasses (because you're going to buy them online, etc), then find another optometrist. read more

Stay far away, this place is dirty and they charge for services not received. Specifically, I was charged $100 for a post-op that never took place. This charge appeared 5 months following my LASIK. Office is a scam, recommend using any other office. read more

I've never been so impressed with an eye Dr before! Dr Le is very friendly and efficient and won't try to sell you on features you don't need. I broke my driving glasses and told her I was using an old prescription pair and so she expedited my order. I had my eye exam on Saturday and my glasses were ready for pickup Monday after I got off work! It usually takes at least 2 weeks with my insurance!! And they had a nice selection of frames. If customer care and patient care means nothing to you along with love to wear overly priced expensive designer frames then this is the right place for you! I took my 8 year old son here for his very first optometry exam. Dr. Tam Le is not very patient with young newbies but she did a great job at covering it up-my son did not notice but I did. The only frames available free with the exam are so small they could only fit a 3-5 year old. Their frames price range is anywhere from $70-$200+ but mainly in the $150 zone. The front desk MA isn't helpful he doesn't offer you the prescription you have to ask for it-i did. When I went back to pick up my son's lens prescription, the front desk MA guy tried dodging me by placing a "Will Return" sign on the door. It was approx 10:27 when I arrived the sign said will return at 10:30 of which I scheduled date and time over the phone with him 2 days prior of when I would pick up the prescription at 10:45 on that scheduled day my Mother my son and I waited until 11:20 and still he didn't open the door nor return from dodging me. Anyways, I returned at 12:30 that same day I walked in and he looked at me and rolled his eyes with a sigh. He hadn't even written the prescription out yet...I had to wait on him to look it up in his computer data base. I recommend everyone go to Optometry First on Grand. read more

Dr. Le completely got it wrong with my glasses' rx - twice. I was left with no recourse whatsoever -- brand new glasses, all paid for and totally useless. Insurance wouldn't cover new lenses. She told me she was only going to redo them once. Second time around, I couldn't read at all with them and she told me it would get better if I just wore them. I'm sorry, but blurry doesn't "get better." So I had to wait for the new year to find someone else who could diagnose the right prescription. By the way, she also messed up my kids' glasses -- both of them had to be tweaked. She also gets really pissy when you tell her that you can't see out of the new prescription. I suppose we should have lied and said, "They're good" to appease her? We will never go back. Consider yourself warned. read more

Dr. Tam is legitimately legitimate! I'm extremely blind, as in, i can't see. So we set up and appointmen for this morning and now i can see. WOAHHH! Woah is right, she is so professional and knowledgeable i was impressed! The store is in a hidden shopping center deep in Escondido but its around the corner from my Manor so we went there, one of the best decisions of my life next to marrying my wife and getting a tortoise. Good selection of frames from Ray Ban and Prada, to the cheaper stuff. My frames were Modern© and were cheap but thats ok cause im only going to use them at home. The shop is nice and humble too, just my type of place. Good receptionist too, courteous and professional as well. Dr. Tam is also easy on the eyes so look forward to that too man!;) overall 100% satisfied with my visit. Come here if you're as blind as a marsupial. If not just stay home and make your eyes worse. Dr. Le's office is very bad service. Dr. Le and her assistant are very unreasonable when they made a mistaken to me as the client. They scratched my lenses and broke my frame. When I asked them to responsible about this, Dr. Le was very mean and unreasonable when she talked to me. My frame is a very good quality and vey expensive frame ($180), she replaces the poor frame ($90) for me and said :"that's all I can do, that's it". I was so disappointed about Dr. Le's attitude and never come back to Dr. Le office anymore. read more

I felt very rushed. They barely spent two minutes with me and almost completely ignored me. They never take that extra step to make me feel special. I haven't ever felt that they care enough to get to know me and that I'm almost an irritation. I was completely shocked at the amount of foul language they used.
