    Mushrooms soup

Talulla's in Cambridge is totally worth the hype! There's two-hour parking on Concord Avenue and Huron Avenue. This cute and cozy restaurant has dim lighting for a romantic vibe and has about 10-12 tables. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the door and asked if we wanted to check our coats. We went during Valentine's Day week and tried the four-course prefixed menu for $95. We also ordered some extra dishes like the sourdough with rosemary butter and the oysters with pearls. I got the fresh pond mocktail, and it was amazing! I would never think to pair orange, cinnamon, and the other flavors together, but it was incredible. It's definitely my favorite mocktail. I ordered the mushroom soup, and it was unreal - coconut flavor with crispy scallions on top. The chestnut pappardelle was a thick flat egg pasta that was creamy and cheesy with kale and parsnips. I started to feel full, but I kept going to the main course. The salmon was paired with a sweet potato, tiny bits of puffed rice, and squash bisque. The salmon had perfect flaky and crispy skin and was cooked just right. I ended this fantastic meal with a hot peppermint tea and the pavlova. The pavlova was a winter citrus and cranberry flavor that was a bit too tart and sour for me, but I had a bite of the chocolate cake and that was tastier. The service was wonderful too. Everyone who served us was friendly and attentive. We felt really well taken care of, and we'll definitely be back soon. Save us a table!

Dined at Tallula this weekend ! Really enjoyed oir meal here Ambiance 4.5/5 It's a cute and cozy restaurant - feels like you're eating in someone's (fancy) living room. Service 4.5/5 Was sharing plates with my bf, and the restaurant very kindly (without us having to ask) split each course into two plates for us ! We also were given the most delicious little pastries with our check - a very nice touch Small attitude ("that's all") when we ordered on the "light side"- not sure if most people order the full tasting Food 4/5 We started off with the homemade sourdough and focaccia - the sourdough was ok, but the foccacia was amazing ! I could have eaten an entire plate of it. Next we shared the campanelle pasta with oxtail and braised cabbage- super unique and delicious flavor profile For the main- we split the farm chicken- the chicken skin was cooked to crispy perfection. Finally, for dessert we went with the ginger molasses cake- the cake was pretty good, but not super memorable. The clove ice cream tasted nice, but was quite icey at its center.

Had 5 choose tasting menu for $96 Bread (4/5) was $7. A bit surprised it's not complimentary. Focaccia is very good sourdough is good as well. Herb butter is great Scallop crudo 5/5 great flavor. Scallop is very fresh Chilled lobster 5/5 lobster is very fresh and great flavor Carmelle 5/5 great flavor pasta is cooked perfectly Rabbit loin 7/5 the flavors were so savory. This should be their signature dish Chocolate cake 3.5/5. Dessert was good, but nothing special, especially compared to the other dishes. I feel I could get the same thing at most restaurants and get three times the amount at the same price. Vibe was if trader Joe's opened a fine dining restaurant. This is a compliment. Service is brisk, but friendly. Overall 5/5 would highly recommend. Will come again when tasting menu changes up. Or maybe order a la carte

We enjoyed the tasting menu here for a birthday celebration, and we very much appreciated the creativity and adventurousness evident in the menu, which changes weekly. The wine pairings were also quite diverse and tasty. The service was impeccable, with the staff working as a team and making sure everyone was readily taken care of. The space is well appointed and perfectly situated for dining al fresco (although it was too hot for us to do so in July). I would caution diners against getting the tasting menu unless you are very adventurous. I consider myself adventurous, but I found the main course (rabbit) a bit gamey and not appetizing. The server mentioned that the following week, filet mignon would be the main course -- so it just depends on when you go, I suppose. We would definitely return and order a la carte off the menu.

The pate was very good and interesting. For me, the brioche was too heavy and sweet.

This is a small neighborhood restaurant - a location hosted by previous restaurants. The ambiance is minimal and no fuss. The staff were friendly. Once seated, we waited 30 minutes which would be fine if I had a cocktail. When I flagged our server down, he told us they were struggling with the outdoor seating. All I wanted was communication and a cocktail. We ordered the tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was inconsistent- some was outstanding and others not do much. One of the wine pairings was undrinkable and the waiter insinuated that we had unsophisticated palates and maybe so, but don't tell us that. The most egregious plating was the dessert. How does a chef serve a complete and utter mess? Bottom line - maybe if I lived in the neighborhood, I would come but certainly not a destination visit.

Came back for a special occasion because this was the best dinner I had in the Boston area the last time I was in down. Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** So lovely! Our waitress was amazing, super friendly, and answered all our questions. All our food also came out really quickly. **Decor & cleanliness, 5/5** Romantic and intimate space! Everyone else there looked like a couple :) **Price & portion, 5/5** Fine dining energy without the fine dining price -- aka an entree will actually fill you up! But save room for dessert, it'll be well worth it! **Presentation of the food, 5/5** Everything is so visually stunning. **Taste of the food, 5/5** We ordered a lot and everything was delicious! - House bread, 5/5: The foccacia with scallion butter was phenomenal. Fluffy and flavorful! The other bread was hearty but couldn't compare to the foccacia. - Burrata appetizer, 5/5: A beautiful dish. So many great flavors and textures! The cornbread crouton was really interesting. - Seabass entree, 5/5: The fish was flakey and so soft with a really nice thin broth. Was a hit! - Steak entree, 5/5: Ordered rare and it actually came rare! Unlike other places where you order rare and it arrives medium. The steak was super tender and the potatoes were great too!! Wasn't as big of a fan of the charred scallion. - Squid pasta, 3/5: The pasta was cooked well and the squid ink made it really visually interesting, but I didn't enjoy it as much as some of the other amazing dishes. - Pork entree, 5/5: So juicy and perfectly cooked! - Panna cotta, 5/5: The rhubarb was perfect with the smooth Panna Cotta and the fruit jelly layer was fun. - Coconut sorbet w crispy pineapple, 10000/5: You HAVE to order this! So refreshing and the crispy pineapple is delicioussssss **Other notes** I will literally try to come here anytime I'm on this coast (I'm from California). Thank you for such wonderful experiences!

We went to Tallula's to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. They went above and beyond our expectations. I had the 5 course tasting menu, which they modified to make gluten-free for me. My husband enjoyed an appetizer, entree, and dessert off the a la carte menu. They offered us a delicious champagne toast, which was a wonderful way to start off our exquisite meal. The service was impeccable. Thank you for giving us such a memorable night!

Went here for date night with my girlfriend and fellow yelper! We really enjoyed each course of our meal. The bread and butter was delicious - a very fancy combination of flavors for the butter. Our pesto rigatoni was creamy and delicious. And the scallops paired great with the bed of lentils they were served on. To top it off we had a lovely sundae for desert. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, with an excellent wait staff. I MUST say however, the portions are very small. I mean look at the rigatoni - my God that was really just a snack. And we paid $25 a pop for it. The bread was $7!! This, my friends, is keeping this place from 5 star category. Very expensive for honestly a small amount of food. I also must say their wines did not do anything of significance for me either.

They had an abortion donation card attached to the menu. I didn't feel comfortable eating there, so we left.

The combination of it being limited seating (it holds less than 20 people) and being a popular spot makes it quite hard to get in without a long wait, so I would recommend right when it opens. Food wise, we got the Squid Ink Pasta and Calamari. The calamari was the perfect combination of crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside, which I find a lot of restaurants don't do a great job of doing. The squid ink pasta was also delicious and on par with any quality Italian restaurants in NYC. I would come back again if I'm ever in the Boston area and want a nice Italian restaurant. Also this place is CASH ONLY so be prepared before coming.

The kitchen is right next to the dining area so you can watch the chef in action. All the dishes were flavorful but I'd say my top dish was the clam pasta. The Monkfish Marsala does have a sweet taste to it and a nice aroma. We definitely came out of there fully stuffed and likely will come back in the future! Be aware that they take cash only.
