Once I get home to prepare to eat I notice there are zero sauces in the bag. So now I have to drive 10 minutes again to get sauces that should have been there. When I enter and advise the cashier there is not apology nothing. Just hand the sauce and walks off. I then remind him I ordered ragoons too he goes back to get another sauce again no apology. I ordered the spicy jalapeno chicken with a side of rice, hot and sour soup and a eggroll combo. Outside of that I ordered the two eggrolls and the crab puffs. Price: $17 and change The spicy jalapeno chicken: piping hot and tasted ok since I've had better. Rice: Just a filler so don't expect any flavor. Hot and sour soup: Not bad! Eggrolls: tasted garlicky so I wasn't impressed but still ate them. Crabrolls: Not good and the cream cheese didnt have much flavor. Duck sauce: was so thick you could lay your edges down with it. No way! Atmosphere: Not good and the air didn't work in there so they had a fan on the floor to cool the customers off. The overall process of receiving your food was not organized either. Also Some customers couldnt get the shrimp dishes that they asked for so instead of making kung pow shrimp, they made someone kung pow chicken which he excepted after they made the mistake. I ate here three times within the last week. If you need a good Asian food fix and live close by, I recommend checking them out. I really like their shrimp in garlic sauce. Their wings are also really good. It has lots of meat on it, a nice crunch, and lots of flavor. Their prices are great. You can get a combo meal for around $7. Many dishes you can get for around $10. We will NEVER GO BACK!!! We have been ordering from Taipei Express for a few months now without any problems. Today was the first day that I decided to call it in and pick it up since I was near the location. Everyone seem so friendly over the phone, until today! My order was taken over the phone while I sat in front of the location., I ordered several dinner items. I was given everything except for the house lo mein. I was also charged for the sauces, although the egg rolls normally come with sweet-and-sour sauce. These items were charged to me at $1.69 per side. I sent teen daughter inside so I could stay outside with my small baby in the car with me. She confirmed the order but didn't look at the items for herself. It wasn't until I got home and noticed that I had two fried rice orders. The house fried rice is what they gave me that was totally incorrect. I wasn't angry at all I just wanted it corrected. I called restaurant and spoke to the lady who took my order., She was beyond rude to me and stated that I ordered the house fried rice! I tried to explain to her that it was no need for me to order another rice. I told her that the only rice I ordered was shrimp. She became very hostile and her tone and constantly told me that's what I ordered. As if something as simple as a switch out was virtually impossible. She went as far as to say that the lo mein cost more then the rice... as if that mattered??? My order was $34.47 and I did not complain about being charge for the sauces so it's obvious I have the money for whatever I want. She was beyond disrespectful and did not offer to replace my order. We order the exact same thing every time we go. They keep a record of everything ordered but when I remind her of that it infuriated her. Horrible horrible service! This little place is super underrated! Hot, fresh, and flavorful food. We are vegetarians and are always looking for a new diet-friendly place that doesn't break the bank and has actual hot food for our dietary restrictions. We ordered the Eggplant Garlic sauce (a little too sweet but tasty with a slight kick at the end). We also ordered the Tofu curry vegetables which was unique (think curry masala added to fried tofu and veggies) and the steamed dumplings were a hit. 1-star less for smaller portions for the price of $9-10/entree. Recently I ordered a pork dish,traditional pork with garlic sauce,but it was awful. No Chinese chef will cook like that,it is stir fry pork pieces ,throw in a bunch of canned and fresh vegetable,and some sweet sauce poured over it,after the pork is done,but the veggies is half done and the sauce is too sweet,once again no trained Chinese cook would do this,you stirfy the meat and then throw in the veggis and let them cook together,simmer down and let the cornstarch from the marinated pork form the sauce,but this is not the case here. next time I will investigate who is t he cook? read more

I remember during Hurricane Harvey in 2017 Firefighters used the Kroger parking lot as staging area to send out different equipment and vehicles to get people from flooded homes. There are 3 things I have learned about eateries who specialize in delivering food to your door. 1) It is generally bad 2) It is generally late, therefore, cold 3) I am aware of these two foreboding facts yet I still order delivery, therefore, I am lazy. This little Oriental nugget in Richmond (just screams authenticity, I know) confirmed two of the three. They were horrible, and I am still incredibly lazy. I think I fell asleep in History class when my professor informed us about the Polish occupation of Taiwan. That is the only explanation for the pierogi "pork pot sticker" that I received when they arrived piping hot at my door. I was so taken with the golden crunchy exterior that I abandoned my fork and used my human utensils (fingers) to sample this promising pocket of Asian delight. I was compensated with a thick rug of dough which they, unfortunately, forgot to stuff with pork. The Mongolian Triple lived up to its' glorious name! Not only did it contain exactly 3 shrimp (how literal they were when they aptly named it triple) but those very shrimp permeated the entire dish. Yippee, if you love old tasting seafood! The other two partners who showed up (the chicken and beef) were left out like third wheels so they embraced their title as well. Everything else was so utterly forgettable that I have completely dismissed it from my mind. Someone wrongly informed me this place wasn't as good as it used to be so I avoided it for quite a while but in fact it's better than ever. I had moo goo gai pan, my go to non-spicy Chinese dish, and they actually used Chinese vegetables. There were tons of snow peas, water chestnuts, Napa cabbage, mushrooms etc. in a nice, non-gloppy sauce. I've had better egg rolls but they were acceptable and gave me actual duck sauce instead of that icky red sauce most Houston area Asian places give you. My orange chicken had had pieces of what looked like wood chips, some of the orange was burnt and it was obviously reheated from lunch or the day before. The fried rice had no flavor. The hot and sour soup tasted burnt as if it was again from lunch the day before and had an awful burnt smell. The egg roll was cooked long before I ordered and was not good but was the only thing I really ate. The price is reasonable but you get what you pay for. Never eaten in and never picked up from them, I have always had take out delivered from Taipei Express .. and I've ordered at least once a month for the past 5 years ... in my book they are a hidden gem. Their delivery is on time and when they say it will be delivered. Now for the food - it's always tasty and good! I love the General Tso's Chicken as well as the Orange Beef and the House Special Lo Mein .. The spicyness of each of these items is just perfect and always piping hot.
