The food is great. I walked in and sat at a booth. After ten minutes, I had to ask someone to take my order. When one of the servers brought my order, she set the food down and walked away. She didn't ask if Id like a refill or anything else. No server ever came to do a check back. I had to get up and ask someone for a refill on my drink. While this was going on, the servers had time to chit chat and clean in Preparation for closing tone. If you're going to be a server, you should take care of the customer, not ignore them. read more

I often place carry out orders and my food is ready on time every time I've been, it's family owned and has all the charm and quality you'd expect from a place like that. We were really pleasantly surprised by this little neighborhood gem. It's tucked away in a little strip mall, 10 minutes from Northgate. The service is friendly and fast. It has a surprisingly big menu for a small place. We got the Chocolate chip waffle and a mufaletta sandwich. The waffle is really good, it's crispy on the outside and melted chocolate chips goodness on the inside. The mufaletta is also really good and huge! I do enjoy the quickness and simplicity of this place. It's very small, so it may be hard to find a table some day. I've tried the tuna salad, great on their croissants! I did order fruit with it which a lot of the grapes were moldy, so that was a downside. I was pretty turned off by that. I will still go back, because who doesn't love good tuna salad! The operating system is a little confusing. I'm still not sure if we are suppose to leave a tip at the table or tip at the jar because the few times I've been everyone has taken care of us, it wasn't a typical serving atmosphere. Love Tag's Cafe! Usually go there with husband for Saturday morning breakfast. The food is good and reasonable priced. My favorite coffee drink is Vanilla Caramela. Tag's' has a nice variety of food, nothing extreme to be afraid to try. The place has a great feel, family like. The waitresses are very friendly, always smiling. This is definitely a hidden gem on the west side of Cincinnati. It's not in a good location at all but it's usually packed because both the food and service are always great. My only complaint is that the place is too small for them. There are only a small handful of tables and thus your wait time can be fairly long, which makes dining there during your lunch hour a pretty dicey proposition. It would also be nice if they stayed open later but I can understand their decision not to. read more

We had to wait quite some time for her to return to take our order, food took a little longer than it should've to be delivered, but it was all correct when it finally came. I've seen excellent reviews for Tag's and have wanted to try for a while. I finally got there this morning and I don't know why I waited so long! I was greeted by a pleasant young woman and told to sit anywhere I wanted. I took a moment to peruse the menu and noticed they had sugar free syrups for their coffee drinks. I questioned the waitress about which flavors were available in sugar free, she listed several options and I chose caramel for my latte. A few minutes later, she returned with a beautiful latte with a gorgeous design on top. The latte was excellent with a thick creamy foam - so yummy! The breakfast menu has several options, I chose the good morning which included 2 eggs any style ( scrambled with cheese please) breakfast meat ( 3 strips of crispy bacon) toast (English muffin perfectly toasted and buttered) and hash browns ( large chunks of perfectly cooked potatoes some crispy). This meal was perfect, it was delicious and served quickly. If I had to find a negative it would be that there was no background music, but that was fine since it allowed me to eavesdrop on the employees, who were chatting amiably, allowing me to realize how much they seemed to enjoy each other's company. I'm so glad I stopped in this morning! I know what all the good reviews are about and that they are well deserved. read more

Still great food, but I realized after eating there yesterday that I was charged almost double for my meal. Tags doesn't give tickets for paying so I didn't have a chance to look over my bill. I absolutely love tags. I go there almost every Saturday. Places usually have one thing going for them. Like a coffee house that makes amazing coffee but ok food. I was running an errand, so I stopped here to get something to go with my soup I had at work. I got a croissant. It didn't look at all like a croissant (it was really a roll), but it was fantastic. It had a little bit of butter and salt on top, was very soft, and was a really good size esp. for $1.25. I was probably one of TAG's biggest fans. Went there at least once a week mostly take out. Staff are bare minimum friendly and never remembered me,, but hey,, I don't really care the Turkey Club was the best along with the soup side you get which is pot pie.. TODAY I dined in with my husband and service was not good but I dealt with it.. asked for soup as normally I get that before sandwich .. TODAY had a big blonde hair midway through sandwich -- took it to the front and she did ask do you want anything else I SAID NO,, that pretty much does it for me. I went to pay and they meaning manager & owner both came at be that I should pay for the soup no sorry about the hair and the manager NO poker face owner was a little better but aske was there something wrong with the soup and I said I did not eat it because of hair in food it was 15 secs at least before she voided it. If you have been there it is a small and it was full ,, all the staff behind the counter looking at me like I was an idiot,, I did not scream or get loud so embarassing.. REALLY who does that? I felt like a criminal.. I had to demand I was not paying for it ,, finally the owner ok'd it.. I WILL NEVER step foot in there again.
