Since I do not eat the loaves at the time of purchase; sometimes I don't eat them until a few days later. Every customer does not want their pastry to be opened at the time of purchase. The barista (white female, black curly/wavy hair) told me she couldn't leave it in the sealed plastic wrapping because "it loses its nutritional value". I kid you not! How the hell does that make any sense? What kind of nutritional value does the lemon loaf have? It has more sugar, and other unhealthy ingredients, than any nutrition. Which is why I don't consume it that often. She has definitely reached her peak in life as a Barista, with that idiotic sense of logic. I would highly suggest visiting a different Starbucks location since this is not the first time I've received incompetent, horrible service. The staff at this location just isn't up to par. People need to understand that you choose/chose the job; the job doesn't choose you. As a Barista, you are in a customer service role; IT'S YOUR JOB to provide every customer with superior service. Today I swung in just for two caffeinated beverages around mid morning. The staff was friendly and fun, and they got me in and out quickly. It's definitely been a while since I've been here, because the seating has been upgraded. There used to be a few tables inside. Now there is a long bench with individual tables and chairs opposite the bench. Essentially, it's set for pairs of people to sit together, but looks like the tables are movable for a modular option if you have a larger group. As an added bonus, there were sample drinks, in shot-glass-sized plastic cups that one of the barista made. I tried it, and it had a gingerbread type flavor - very tasty!
