Outstanding freshness and presentation. I had the sashimi seafood sampler and it was an absolute delight. The manager/owner came by and explained what all the items were. Very authentic and fantastic service! Costa T. from Lakeway, TX read more

It was our first time eating at Tadashi and I had high hopes, their menu looked really good, however we were very disappointed. The sushi rolls were comparable to grocery store rolls, but way over priced. I am used to much better sushi restaurants that give generous portions at much better pricing. Looking for that here in TX. Even our to-go soy sauce was 1/4 filled. Only positive was we ordered takeout but did notice the nice atmosphere inside the restaurant. read more

Horrible service, food and over priced. 3 waitresses and a manger all gave excuses; different excuses each time they came to the table. Told us he'd give us our appetizer free and never did. Took 20 mins for a roll we ended up telling them we didn't want. Our entree was cold when we got it and took less than 10mins!?! Asked for a fork from three people, never got back to us. Never going back! read more

Tadashi has become our go to for local sushi-it is always fresh and we love the creativity of the menu. I have loved everything I have tasted here. We highly recommend this book restaurant. read more

I would have to give this a 5 star review, I've been here multiple times and have had everything on the menu! This is top notch sushi, I'm pleased! read more

We love Tadashi!!! We have enjoyed eating here for a year and a half now. Always fresh and great service! We really love everything, but our favorites are the Rainbow roll, albacore sashimi, and the spicy tuna rice cakes .. You won't be disappointed! read more

We went at lunch to Tadashi.. It was nice. We each ordered a bento box. I had better but it was very acceptable even though it was very little food. To our surprise when we got the bill we were charged 22.00 each box (their website says 11.00 at lunch. And nowhere is specified that the weekend lunch should be double the price or whatever they charge at dinner. Be aware!!! They will charge you dinner prices even at lunch. We are never stepping in that restaurant again. We don' t like those games. read more

I took my husband here for his birthday. We just moved here from Maryland and wasn't sure where to go. Besides the service being HORRIBLE, they brought dishes out at different times. My husband ended up with food poisoning from the sushi. I thought it was crazy when I saw a man bringing in items in a cooler. Will never go again. Growing up in California, you have to be extremely careful with how you keep the fish stored. WILL NOT BE RETURNING. read more

So my daughter wanted sushi so I thought I would give Tadashi a try. She liked the Cali roll which came with the Benti box and I enjoyed the spider roll. Then she devoured a brownie and ice cream. Food was good and service was great. Our waiter, Cruz, was sweet and personable. My daughter even liked him. Would have given 5 stars, but it was a little pricey. I'll have to save this for special occasions only. Too bad. read more

Love this as my new go to place. Movie & Tadashis has become a new staple with us. They have great specials, awesome variety & food is delicious. I commend the service, atmoshere. It is a real comfort stop all the way around. read more

Best sushi I've ever eaten. Mango roll is amazing.

Best sushi in Austin! Service is amazing and they are always willing to modify orders (example- subbing cucumber for rice on sushi rolls) the sushi is so fresh! read more

Great sushi. A little pricey and wish they had more options for alcohol. Their daily roll is to die for!

Great location. We bought the box dish teriyaki chicken for 18$ a box. The food was overcooked and overpriced. The restaurant was dusty especially over the doorway into the kitchen. Not a great place to eat there are other sushi places 3 miles away that are much better. This place needs an uplift the soup bowls were chipped. The waiter grabbed my straw that I would drink out of with his bare hands and placed it into my drink. Not my ideal place to eat. From now on Ill eat at Tony C's befors going to the movies. read more

Oh yea. You can't beat tadashi! That's some of the best sushi I've ever had! Everyone there is so great and easy to get along with. If you haven't had tadashi yet you need to! Go during their lunch hour, the portions are so big and filling there's no way you'll leave unsatisfied. All the food is so fresh too! I grew up on the water and their product is so good I would think they just caught it right out of the water! Go there! read more

4 stars for the nigiri, but 2 stars for the service. This is unusual for the service because this is usually an excellent restaurant. The restaurant was not even half full and it took a very long time to receive our order. The chopsticks were mismatched & difficult to use, the waitress forgot our hot tea. We had to flag down another waiter get small bowls for soy, had to flag someone down to get our check. read more

have eaten here quite a bit, since we live close. The food is decent, but the service every time we are here is really bad. It takes a LONG time to get food out and they often forget about you, especially when you sit outside. We ate there tonight and we had 3 adults and 3 kids and the service was the worst its ever been. We waited so long for food that part of the meal was taken off the bill. Now 2 of my 3 kids have been up vomiting and I can only assume they have food poisoning since they both ate the same thing. It was an expensive meal to have it come back up. read more

Wonderful Egyptian Roll. I'm not usually a "sushi" person, but this place is so yummy!

Great place for sushi in the hill country galleria area...nice ambiance for all types of occasions. The sushi is always very fresh and they always have a specialty menu with their plates of the week. Tadashi is definitely our go to local sushi joint and we have never been dissatisfied! Try the Sashimi Boat, it's amaze-balls!! read more

This is a great sister restaurant to Izumi. Fresh fish, creative rolls and an outside patio. Very nice.

This place is awesome! They are super friendly and always provide excellent service. The food is equally as amazing. If you want variety, I would recommend the bento box. You get a large assortment and the lunch price is very reasonable. The ramen, udon, yaki udon, and dofu bowls are also highly recommended. I have tried most items on their menu and they haven't disappointed in the least. read more

Fresh, flavorful sushi. Unique menu offering, friendly and attentive wait staff. Nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices. I have nothing but good things to say about Tadashi. I had a dinner date with my husband at Tadashi on Saturday night and I will MOST definitely return!! The spicy edamame was fabulous and the sushi was some of the best I've had in a long time. Watch out Cho :) read more

Went with my fiance and was wonderful. Had the sushi sashimi sampler and was amazing and so fresh. Enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar while I had some wine and fiance had some sake. Every time we go, I always say I will try some entrees but the sushi is so good there that I have to get it every time. Manager Kevin and Shawn are always so friendly and helpful in recommending the fresh fish of the day. Staff is friendly and seem to be co owned with Izumi Sushi about 10 minutes away. Ambiance is very nice and romantic. Beautiful patio as well. Two thumbs up! read more

Pretty good, they've got fresh grated wasabi if you ask and a good selection of fish for nigiri. What rolls we've had are decent, the teriyaki is very disappointing, and the chef-crafted dishes are inspired if somewhat underwhelming. The menu is overpriced beyond the premium I'd expect to pay in Bee Cave for a snooty fish place. If you don't want to drive the rest of the way in to Austin to eat at any of the amazing sushi restaurants we now have, I suppose Tadashi is a good choice. Some of the problems, though are almost amusing - micro greens and thin bland sauce with too-thin slices of what would otherwise be excellent fish (belly trio, don't bother since you can't taste the fish), the agedashi tofu (holy bonito flakes, batman), and the terrible teriyaki (just don't ever subject yourself to this undercooked, bottled-sauce nightmare). However, like I said there's a decent fish selection for nigiri or sashimi, and fresh-grated wasabi on request so they've got that going for them. read more

I really wanted to like this place because it's right down the road from my house and I like keeping it local when I can. My date and I went for the first time tonight and were very less than impressed. We ordered an assortment of things because we like to try a little of everything. We started out with the wings appetizer. 3 wings, mediocre at best, nothing special. Then we ordered sashimi sampler. It came out in a bowl. It was rice on the bottom, random slices of fish on top, and you basically had to put it together yourself. It didn't work. It all fell apart. You needed to just pour your wasabi/soy mixture over the bowl and eat it with a spoon. I ordered the scallop entree and didn't eat 3 of the pieces because they had no flavor. He ordered the steak entree. It was about 4oz of grey meat with a miso glaze on top. Nothing was good. My date is the LEAST picky eater in the world and he didn't like any of it. This place has good ratings. Am I missing something? Or did I just try it on an off day? I doubt I will ever give it another chance. It was that bad. We ended up spending $100 on food we didn't like, didn't want, and didn't finish. :-/ read more

Now let me start off with this 3 stars doesn't mean i don't like it but u gotta be good in my own subjecrive opinion to get 4 or 5 now the prices aren't great but they're not bad either and the rolls reflect the price not good or bad i enjoyed some other were just meh but what i can't stand in a resturaunt is hearing the employee's swearing im sorry i swear myself but when i hear employee's dropping f bombs it sounds and feel unproffesional also some pda between employee's and partners while this does not bother me also makes a place like this with a proffesional atmosphere feel un profesional this all being said if u want sushi and you're in bee cave ide go ahead and recommened it just go in with low expectations and be you will most likely be surprised at how nice some of there stuff is oh and before i forget if you are in a hurry don't stop by because it takes 15 minutes for one roll to get done for some odd reason read more

It was great to see a sushi restaurant open in this area as it was close to where we live. We went mid-week just to check it out. This place is right next to the Cinemark movie theatre in The Galleria shopping center. ATMOSPHERE: As you walk in, it has the usual asian vibe. As with most new sushi start-ups, you can tell the decor and design was cobbled together to give you a remote feeling of Japanese ambiance. That's okay with me as I'd rather a restaurant spend the money on good sushi instead of high-end furnishings. FOOD: We put our order in for vegetable tempura, a few rolls and some nigiri. They also highlighted some nigiri that weren't normally on their menu which we ordered. The tempura was soggy and not light and crispy which was a disappointment. One of the rolls we ordered was a pretty basic and when we picked it up, the roll just fell apart. I guess they either had someone training at the time or their folks just didn't care about the presentation because the seaweed wrapper didn't wrap all the way around the roll. Saving money or just sloppy rolling? At these prices, it should not be either one. Also, the rice on all the rolls and nigiri was just crumbling and falling apart. Completely unacceptable for a sushi establishment. The saving grace of the nigiri was the actual protein. SERVICE: The wait staff work hard here. I appreciate the top notch service they provide. They took our order and although we are used to waiting for plates to come out as they are completed, the service was extremely slow from the kitchen. Near the end of our meal, a gentleman came to our table and expressed that the kitchen accidentally made some nigiri that we didn't order and asked us, "Do you still want want you originally ordered?" I thought I heard him incorrectly but he asked us again. This completely blew my mind. Why would this gentleman give us a mistake from the kitchen and offer to substitute it for the nigiri that we originally ordered? I told him that yes, we would still like our original order. I mentioned this to our waiter and she told me that she would talk to the manager. A few minutes later, the gentleman that approached our table was the manager. I must be in an alter universe. This manager needs work on customer service. Before we left, he "made sure" that he comped us for the rice and for the nigiri we didn't order. Wow, how nice of him. OPINION: Will we give this establishment another shot? Of course. Every restaurant has some kinks to work out. I don't know if our experience with the sub-par roll and bad customer service was a one-time deal but I think if they worked on their presentation and improve their customer service, I think this place can do well. read more

Great food, service I was horrible! Not even close to being good enough for that arrogance.

This is one of the finest Sushi restaurants I have ever been too. First, the fish is top notch! It's always Fresh and well prepared. Not on the menu, but the Texas Poke is amazing! I don't know how management is able to find such an outstanding wait staff but they are knowledgeable and friendly. I've been here a dozen times and still can't get enough! read more

Let me start off by saying fantastic service from Shawn, Josh and Taylor! I would love to call out the rest of the staff behind the scenes but unfortunately my memory doesn't always retain names. We came here because our normal sushi place was closed for the evening and I found Tadashi on a list of Austin's 10 best sushi places. While most of them were close to downtown Austin this place was appealing because it was out in the burbs, a little closer to home. From the moment I called and was personally greeted by Shawn, when we arrived he made sure we were well taken care of. The wine list is great ranging from affordable but interesting Wines to some fantastic upper level at extremely reasonable prices. We started off with a special combination of tuna, snapper and salmon, Topped with Roe. We then decided to let the chef surprise us with his selection and had a fantastic combination of nigiri and sashimi including yellowtail, baby hamachi and octopus. Of course we could not resist the desert of tempura fried ice cream wrapped in brownie. Coming back soon! read more

good sushi, great happy hour.,this place used to be My husband and I favorite we used to come here at least once a week since they open we stop going recently because service is been terrible we ask the waitress if we can sit at the booth then she ask her manager and said no"I simply explain why we prefer sit by the booth I have a small child we didn't wanna be in the way and she said it's reserve I didn't see any reserve signs I just didn't argue the whole time (1 1/2 hour)we were there all booth was available till we left read more

Chilean sea bass and pork belly appetizer were great not to mention the tempura brownie ice cream. Thanks go out to our server Brent.

Great meal and great service by Karinda. Kevin the manager was very accommodating. We will be back!

This was our first visit, and everything was great. Our server, Will, was very helpful. We enjoyed the salmon bento box and a few sushi rolls. Everything was really good. We will be back again. read more

Wow! The food was amazing!!! The price was exorbitantly high and a total rip off!!! The service was horrendously slow and there were hardly anyone in the restaurant to account for such slow service!!! They should use smaller plates to help cover up the fact that they over charge for such small portions!!! What a shame!! We won't be back!!! read more

This place exceeded expectations. The fish was fresh and delicious and the presentation was outstanding. The steamed shumai dumplings and green tea were also good. My husband and I are willing to drive a far distance for a really good meal in Austin but thanks to Tadashi, we can stay a little closer to home! read more

SO glad we finally found great sushi on this side of town! There is NO sushi in Wimberley or Dripping. I would not eat any sushi in San Marcos. Tadashi is the real deal--not one of those hill country hybrid thai-chinese-sushi places that are dirty and get nothing right. I can see why the patio was full and it was nearly full inside. We had the sunomono with octopus--to die for--edamame, miso soup with mushrooms, grilled eringi mushroom with salt--like grilled steak--fatty salmon belly with jalapeno and crispy roe--don't ask, just get it, a religious experience--live clam (stunningly good) and an array of standard sushi with lots of Asahi super dry and cold sake. Yep, we splurged and it was worth every penny. I'm surprised at the reviews that complain about the cost. This is no more expensive than other high quality sushi we've had in other big cities. It is amazingly fresh, the highest quality ingredients, beautifully presented. There were a few minor missteps with the service, a few times we ran out of beer before a refill arrived, and an ordered quail egg was not delivered, nor were we charged for it. I do like that the staff have a team approach and the managers chip in and run out the dishes to the diners. I'm also surprised that anyone would diss the décor. It is spotlessly clean, modern, upscale stone and wood in keeping with its location in the Galleria. We cannot wait to go back. 4 stars only for the few service missteps. read more

Tadashi - Live Clam - Sushi Bars Near Me - Bee Cave, Texas

Meh, ok if Cho is closed. Not bad, just not as awesome as Cho's in Lakeway. Plus you have to deal with the mall crap. Service is adequate, sushi is, too. Noodles are recommended instead. read more

Delicious! We loved everything we had, and the service was excellent. The Hana roll was the best sushi presentation I've ever seen. Kind of pricey overall, but everything was worth it. And the location next door to the movie theater was perfect for date night. read more

Truly the best sushi I've ever had. Every time I go I gorge on sushi, all of it fresh and tasteful, and end up leaving drunk off good food. It's fairly expensive, but definitely worth it. Favorites include the fatty salmon nigiri, Up in Smoke (?) roll, Rainbow roll, and the roll that has mango (I don't recall the name). The edamame is great too. This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to-- if you're at the Hill Country Galleria definitely try Tadashi! read more
