The food is very good and the service is friendly. I would prefer hearing more Spanish being spoken to add to the ambiance but this is not a deal breaker. Atmosphere is good if you're sitting in a booth. I do not like sitting at the open table area. This area is a bit acoustically intrusive. I have had tacos, burritos, and seviche and all were delicious. The seviche doesn't need the cheese so I will order it without it next time. The guacamole is fresh and delicious. In town from New Orleans and was looking for some authentic Mexican food and decided to give this place a try. Upon arrival I didn't even know if they were opened because not one car was on the driveway at what point I began to regret coming. The menu is all over the place a bit confusing; so confusing that decided to settle for chicken wings and chicken club sandwich because that's all I could make out with certainty. The buffalo sauce on the wings seemed to be diluted with water so much that it wouldn't stick to the chicken long enough to take a bite. The chicken club I had was uninviting; the "chicken breast" was thinner than the slices of tomato and had the same texture of a well done skirt steak. The fries that are on the side were regular previously frozen waffle fries and the aioli was so thick they should've just slathered mayo on them instead. All in all my meal came out to 24$ before tip and the best thing I ate was the chips and salsa that were free. The only reason I would give a star is because the service was decent. These people are THIEVES and extremely rude! I went here this past weekend to pick up a to-go order and once I got home I realized they forgot my $13 quesadilla. Mistakes happen, I get it. I have worked in a restaurant for many years. I called back that night, and the guy told me to come back up and get it. I decided against that because it is about 30 minutes from my house and it had been a long day at work. The guy took my name and phone number and said the "boss" would call me in the morning to issue a refund. I waited until the next afternoon and heard nothing. So I called again! This time, same thing. The guy told me the boss would call today. I was patient and waited another day. Now it's Monday, and no call back. I was beginning to get frustrated, so I called again. This time, a woman answered the phone. On this call...I was very to the point, but NOT rude. I explained the whole situation and said that if someone did not call me back that day I would have to come to the store and get my refund. The woman LAUGHED at me, so I hung up on her. Is it worth driving up there for my $13? Probably not. But it's the principle behind it. If they had just called me back, I would of been a happy customer. But now, you have lost my business! I will NOT be back and now I am writing a terrible yelp review. What a shame... read more

Good food. Typical American Mexican food. Taco salad is good. Guacamole taste fresh and has just the right amount of flavor but not to hot. Service can be a little sparse at times but we just grab someone else as they walk by. Plenty of parking and we haven't had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated. read more

My family and I come here often for the Taco Tuesday Specials- my mother loves the fish tacos, she gets them every time. I myself am not much of a taco person, but the vegetarian fajitas are always more than satisfactory! The chips, salsa, ranch dip, and guacamole are delicious as well. Service is prompt and attentive, no complaint at all there. The prices are agreeable when you weigh the authentic quality of the food and the fulfilling portions. The restaurant decor is actually quite fun, and the pleasurable experience of dining there reflects the overall atmosphere of the place. My previous review that I posted was inadvertently for the wrong restaurant. We have eaten here three times and though the food is good, the service never is. The last time we went, we were two of only four people in the restaurant. The music was so insanely loud we couldn't hear ourselves talking. The staff were all in the kitchen area and saw us pull up, through the window. Yet when we got inside, no one bothered to come out and seat us for entirely too long. Service throughout the night was slow. Previous two times were similar - long wait to be seated, then mediocre service throughout the meal. The good thing is that at least the food is good. Since it's Mexican, there are vegetarian choices too. read more

Went to this restaurant because of a recommendation by a friend. Was worried because of some bad reviews. A couple of people said service was poor, and the chips were stale. I found that it was the exact opposite. Service was quick and friendly and the chips were fresh. I got a chicken chimichanga with beans and rice on the side. It was hot and fresh but could have been a little spicer. The chicken and shrimp salad bowl looked appetizing and tasted great. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. I gave 4 stars only because the chicken in the chimichanga was a little over cooked. The restaurant was clean and comfortable and was able to watch some oriole baseball. The food is very good however the customer service is less than desirable. We went there for dinner and one of the severs came to the table and was making Guacamole table side. I told her we didn't order it and she said ok. I again asked her if it came with the chips and she said yes. We had been there before and never had it like this but I asked twice to be sure. She put it on the table and my daughter in law and I began eating it. About 10 minutes later the waitress came over and said did you order this and we said no but the other lady said it came with the chips. She said she got her tables mixed up and asked if we wanted to keep it. I said yes I am eating it. She said well if it $8.99. I said no I didn't order it and just like that she picked it up and walked away. Any other place that has ever made a mistake would have just left it because it was their mistake. Always consistently good! The location is small and can be a little bit crowded and hectic-feeling during peak times, but the food is great, so are the margaritas, and the staff is so nice. The carnitas - I could go on forever about them, they are good in everything from street tacos to fajitas, to the Cougar Burrito - which also has the most divine sauce! The table side guac is always delicious, and the margaritas are nice and strong. Edmundo is always a welcoming host and Alex introduced us to Tres Generaciones, which is one of the best tequilas I've ever had the pleasure of tasting.
